Absolutely terrible service. If you want to go to a trustworthy place to groom your pup, this is definitely not the place. This is the worst groomer I’ve been to in the la crescenta area.

We brought our 13-​year-​old Rottweiler and my entire family concluded she was very happy afterwards. We and Bella had a great experience! It was nice to see her so happy

It was my 8 month old puppy’s first time being groomed and I decided to give this place a try. It’s a nice and clean environment with a friendly staff. I liked the cut they gave her. The only thing I didn’t understand is why they charge extra for brushing teeth and cutting nails. At Any other place it’s included with the bath and cut. Overall it was good!

Yesterday I brought in my very large golden retriever for grooming. HE WAS A MESS! 3 hours later I walked proudly out of Grub & Groom with a fabulously groomed dog.

I was able to get an appointment in short order for my two dogs for the weekend after my regular groomers told me they couldn’t get my guy’s in for another four weeks! My groomer Shonda or Shondra (sorry) was courteous, friendly, and professional. She did a wonderful job on both and has earned a new client.

I really wanted to like this place but turns out the majority of the Unilocal reviews are true. My dog is traumatized from her experience on 10/​16/​15
She came home a nervous wreck with super bloody red shot eyes on the whites of her eyes :(her red eyes have lasted two days now. She isn’t sleeping and she freaks out when you try to hold her. I hate seeing her like this, she isn’t acting like herself. Shes very frightened. I have no idea what happened to her while she was there, they couldn’t even finish the haircut because she was super nervous they said and when she was calm I could bring her back to finish. Unfortunately I won’t be back. Max has never had a bad experience at the groomer. Shes usually very friendly and calm. Please Dont bring your dog here

i can’t speak to other experiences with grub and groom, but as i’ve used Unilocal over the years i can weed out perpetually unhappy and the psychos. We have two large breed dogs a german shepherd and a lab. Josh always picks them up and returns them in the afternoon. They are delighted to see him and come home prancing. However the grooming is not the reason i am supporting Lee, there is more to the story. When we brought the shepherd, Willow home she was a rescue dog, our first. We had no idea what we were in for, she was a wreck. She was incontinent and very aggressive with other animals, including our lab. We truly regretted adopting her and thought about returning her to the rescue. A close friend recommended Lee and not wanting to give up we called him. He took her around the rosebowl everyday and socialized her with other dogs, in doing so he gave us a loyal dog that has become part of the family. We have used trainers in the past that utilized more conventional techniques, many of which made me uncomfortable. I found Lee to be very empathetic toward Willow and her managed to train her by making her feel safe not punished

The reason I gave this piece of shit one star because there are no zero options on Unilocal.I am appalled and discusted as to how a person like this owns and runs a business. I will be reporting him to the BBB. My dog has been lethargic for days since I have picked her up from his so called grooming establishment. I finally decided to take her to the vet as she has not been eating and has been sleeping for the past 3 days. It turns out she was injured and suffered extreme stress in the hands of this monster! I contacted him to tell him about the situation, and he has the nerve to tell me my dog has anxiety and is afraid? Well shit I wonder why??? What the hell did you do to her then? I’m not finished with him! I asked him for my money back and he said «not going to happen» and that I’m «wasting my time.» He then hung up on me! Clearly he is an abusive groomer, and lacks respect and sympathy for his clients. He could care less. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE!!!

I’ve taken my dog here a couple times, and both times my dog has the shit scared out of him when I pick him up and was scared when I took him there after the first time. He came home hungry, thirsty and had to use the backyard. Not only that, but for services I paid for other than the haircut, they didn’t seem to do any of them. I don’t know what kind of business they’re running here, but it’s clear I will do no further business with them.

Both my dogs had multiple clipper burns and scrapes. One of my dog’s ears was also nipped. My wife spoke to both the owner and their son who were rude to her and did not take responsibility for the poor service. Will never do business again with grub n groom.

My dog has anxiety about grooming and he LOVES coming here. So happy we found a place he can be calm about.

Horrible place the owner is unprofessional and rude. Few days ago I took my dog in to get him groomed and he came back extremely scared and injured. I saw that both of his ears had cuts. There was a cut on inside and the outside of the ears and it is not possible for the dog to do it himself. I called and spoke to the owner and took my dog in the minute my dog saw the guy he peed himself and started shaking from being scared. He saw it and refused to take responsibility for his technician’s unprofessional mistake, and told me that I should not take my dog in to the vet and get it checked. In addition he refused to cover any costs and said it’s nothing and it’s not their mistake. After I asked for his name he refused to give me his name and walked into the other room. Now I have to take care of all vet bills because the cuts can get infected and our dog is part of our family and I do not want to compromise he’s health.

The groomers are very nice but the cut is not the best. Very uneven, choppy and pretty unappealing cut on my baby girl. They do treat the dogs nicely. But overall I’m not a very satisfied customer. I gave 1 star based on how my dog reacts to them, she really likes the groomer. They just can’t cut properly.

I love this place. I have a large old boy and they treat him well. I love his haircut.

We have taken our dogs here for grooming for many many years. Great people and great service!

I have been taking my Schnauzers there for many years. They are great, accomodating and my pups behave with them :) Christine is very helpful with advice in all other areas. They get a full 5 stars!

Do NOT bring your animal to this shop! I had my yorkie here yesterday, not only did they keep him for 5 hours, but I had to call them to see if he was ready instead of them calling me. When I got him home, I found flees all over him AND he has a huge cut from their razor on his arm. When I called to talk to them about it they were not only rude but refused to give me my money back. They said he probably got flees «walking from our car into our home». My dog cannot be treated for fleas because he breaks out in hives from the medication so now I’m stuck dealing with that mess. The owner was condesending on the phone and interrupted me every chance she got. If they treat their customers like that, imagine how they treat your animal when you’re not there. Stay AWAY from this shop!

This place is great. Its kind of a mom and pop shop but they are really great with pets.
I have a chihuahua and I have been taking here there since the day I got her. They can be pretty pricey when you consider all the add on’s you can add to a regular grooming (i. hot oil coat, shampoo that reduces shedding). But its all well worth it.
My dog never really needs her hair cut but she needs a good washing and nail clipping. They never cut her nails too short, and for some reason one of the ladies there just loves my dog! Everyone that works there is extremly sweet.
They also sell all kinds of goodies for dogs, from toys to snacks, to sweaters, to leashes and even cleaning sprays to get out dogs messes every now and then. They have beds… just about everything you could think of for your dog.
Its always best to call and make an appointment, when you have an appointment the turn aroudn time is usually pretty quick.
Arround the holidays they tend to even put a little bow on the dog when they return them.
I have no complaints, my dog is always happy, smelling good, nice soft and clean when I get her back.
