Welcome to MAMAssage! I specialize in bodywork and birth work for the expectant mother and her family. I am a labor and postpartum doula, a massage therapist, lactation educator, and placenta encapsulationist. I adore working with families through the transitions of growing their baby, birthing their baby and celebrating the beginning of their new journey as parents. I also offer prenatal refresher courses for parents expecting a consecutive baby. Belly casting is another wonderful addition to my list of services that creates an artistic, beautiful memory! All of these services are available In my sunny, spacious studio space, The Heart Space, as well as some in-​home services.

History

Established in 2005.

I started doing massage and doula work after attending th Chicago School of Massage Therapy and the DONA doula training in 2004 – 2005. I have added continung education skills over the years including placenta encapsulation and lactation education. I’ve attended over 250 births so far!

Business Owner

Leah Lichy (formerly Koop) has been a long time resident of Evanston, Illinois, now living in the western suburb of Lombard. Currently working as a Labor & Postpartum Doula, Lactation Educator, and Massage Therapist specializing in prenatal, postpartum and infant massage, Leah supports women through the many mind/​body transitions of pregnancy & motherhood.

Leah’s birth support education includes Labor Doula training through DONA (Doulas of North America), as well as assisting in Bradley Childbirth Classes. She has supported clients who prepared for labor using Hypnobirthing and Birthing From Within curriculum as well as Bradley and Lamaze. She has attended over 250 glorious births thus far.

Since becoming a doula, Leah has supported families bringing home their first, second, even fourth baby, as well as many families juggling twins! She helps with baby care, lactation support, mother’s health and wellness, etc.
