Proper Gents Barbershop

Solid neighborhood barbershop. Ask for Andres, he gave me a clean fade, took his time and did it right. Even my wife liked it!

Even though it takes me 30 mins to get to the barber shop it is so worth it. To me Mr. Andres is the best barber ever always taking his time to give the best haircut you won’t be disappointed I guarantee you that.

Many thanks to ANDRES! Great barber shop with great people. I live in uptown Whittier and drove down here to try it out as most of my friends in my hometown la Habra highly recommended this place. And man did Andres do a great job! My son and I will be coming here from now on. Thank you!

I have been coming here for over two years and won’t go anywhere else. Doesn’t matter the hairstyle type or something I’ve seen in a picture, all the barbers accomodate to my ideal haircut. All the barbers here are friendly and know what they’re doing.

First timer at Proper Gents Barbershop. I walked in without an appointment and had to wait an hour and a half before being seated. Almost immediately after being seated, Mimi apologized for the wait and explained that she was having a family emergency and was still at work. I was a little nervous about going to a new place because I’ve been getting the same haircut for about a year and I wasn’t sure if anyone could replicate it. Mimi’s amazing precision and attention to detail and input really shows in the haircut. I’ve never had such a clean hair cut and really look forward to coming back again. This place is so worth the wait, but make sure you make an appointment!

The ladies (Mimi and Alycia) at Proper Gents are genuinely nice people. Not to mention that they are skilled and honed to their craft. What sets them apart from other shops is that they listen to their clients. Prime example was when I used to hit this barbershop in LA. Every time I gave my (former) barber instructions as to how I wanted my hair done, the end result was always the opposite. I guess that confirms that guys are generally crappy listeners.
I am glad to have found this spot in the heart of La Habra. They tend to get busy for the most part, but that’s a good sign because they really do care about your hair.

I came here based on the Unilocal reviews and because even though I like my regular shop I always have to wait 2 hours to get a cut. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. The people are very friendly and the wait wasn’t bad at all. They have pool and video games so if you have to wait you can be entertained.
The cut was solid as well. I don’t really see a reason to go back to my old barber shop. Cool people, close to home, good cuts, and reasonable priced. Check them out!

My son had his hair cut on a Saturday and was happy with his cut.
A lady cut his hair, didn’t catch her name. He said the atmosphere was cool. And workers were kind and respectful. I will bring him back. Thank you Gents.

Good haircuts good price good products. Totally recommend this place the owner is awesome got a great haircut they stayed late to take me and even hooked me up with some product I’ll definitely be coming back thanks ladies

A good haircut can give you the confidence you need to go big, at school, at work and in life. I’ve lived in this area my whole life and tried every shop around.
This is the most friendly shop, giving the best cuts anywhere. You won’t find a better barber than Mimi, nor will you find a better price. They do mine and my sons hair every two weeks. They take appointments or walk ins and have a pool table if you wanna play a game while you wait.
Again, this is the best spot to get a good cut anywhere near LA/​OC.
