Taxes are always confusing and terrible, but not this time! I have been using Turbo Tax the past few years since I have been a small business owner. Going to see Don was the best thing I could have done. He was so knowledgable and helped me think of write offs I never even considered. I have now received a tax return for the first time in years! Alice, who you will speak to on the phone, is amazing and hilarious! You will love them both! I am definitely going back next year!!!

I’ve been going to the Keeper of Books for the last 3 years. Don is a knowledgeable and experienced accountant. He always seem to genuinely care about how my business is doing. He has never made a mistake with my taxes and returns my calls promptly. I look forward to seeing him and his lovely wife this year!

What’s worse than having your info hacked? How about having it given out on purpose to an ex! Ltr from IRS says per my request to change my earned income credit I now owe $ 315 +4% interest per month if not paid by sept. 14th. We both USED The Keeper of Books. Not ever again that’s for damn sure! At least won’t. He made a mistake on my taxes, cost me money and I seriously felt like he didn’t give a sh*t. They submitted the form to change my taxes without my knowledge or consent. Thanks a lot pal!!! Should be illegal, I don’t know yet but I will soon! Only selecting 1 star because I have to.

Last year was the 4th year we went to the Keeper of Books. We found out that he had made a ‘slight mistake’ the previous year when filing and left a zero off our income. When we found the mistake and pointed it out, he was not apologetic at all. This mistake meant we owed $ 2000 for the previous year. Anyone can make a mistake but when we asked him to pay the $ 66 that the IRS charged us for HIS mistake he just refused. He cost us extra money, a lot of inconvenience and annoyance. He took no responsibility for his mistake. That is not the way to run a business.

I went in on March 2 to file my taxes. They were not filed till the end of October. I was never told by the Keeper of Books until I received penalty letters by both the IRS and State. I was told they would be filed on time by the owner. He filed an extension to September 16th but still didn’t file until October 30. It was a real nightmare to get through to him. His voice mailbox was constantly full and I also had difficulty getting response by email. He never said that he messed up nor did he ever apologize. The penalties mounted up to over $ 1000. He said he would not pay.

Okay Folks, it’s that time of year! Time to settle up with Uncle Sam. Thankfully, we have a phenomenal tax accountant who has prepared our business filings for 20 years. Don, is also the owner. We can call him anytime of the year with questions or advice and he will graciously give you an answer or follow up.
Don is very good at sharing his knowledge, I feel fortunate to have who I consider one of the best in the business.
