Pros: This place rocks. Haven’t had Tommy’s in a long time. Well, it’s the same as we remembered. Had chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries. Simple. Bottom line: we’re coming back.

I do not get the loyalty some have to Tommy’s. Their chili burger is probably the worst hamburger I’ve ever had. I find Tommy’s chili disgusting. Everything here tastes processed and nasty. I can’t stomach it. It’s barely food. Eat here in moderation, your arteries will thank you.

My pal loves chili. We always talk about coming here. Well, recently we did. I didn’t eat much. Was hoping for some magic, but, sadly besides looking like diarrhea the chili was really just rendered fat with chili flavor. Probably the last time I’ll go. I wonder if this is why we don’t have Tommy’s all over the place. I mean, chili seems like it’s dying out. Depression era cheap eats, like chop suey, the once ubiquitous shrimp cocktail, you ever get the idea that some foods are sliding off the modern table just a bit? Liver and onions, meatloaf, Salisbury Steak, Creamed Chipped Beef, I mean, I venture to say chili might be among those«culinary» vestiges slowly vanishing from view. I could be crazy, but I think about it. Like Vegas, used to be signs all over The Strip for three holy items to draw people in. Prime Rib, Lobster, and the cheap shrimp cocktail. Well, other things have replaced food as the draw. Sex, shows, and burlesque, with maybe some mention of a buffet somewhere. Shrimp Cocktail, where did you go? I’m not a chili hater, I just don’t get it. If chili disappeared I don’t think I would care. Wow, what a tangent.

Consistently excellent. They also have a gal that works at drive thru that is the coolest in the world. Waiting for my wife to bring me a cheeseburger combo with chili cheese fries. Thought I’d give them some love.

I’m a total sucker for these things. My mouth waters just thinking about them. It’s the combination of flavors and delicious chili grease that does it. I think I’ve lost years off my life from eating too many. I just can’t stop myself. I don’t even smoke cigarettes any more. Can’t kick the Tommy’s habit! Service here seems fine.

My absolute favorite burger location! I love coming here late after work, and getting chili fries and a double chili burger. Staff is super friendly. No complaints!

Great late night eats. Get the number 1, double chili cheese burger, no mustard, chili cheese fries with fresh onions, yellow peppers and a large root beer. Bring it all home and watch some I love Lucy reruns… Delicious!

This us definately the best burger place in the world. Their chili cheese burgers are perfect. I dont know what they do to the chili sauce but no one can make one identical. I would reccomend this place to anyone tourists or people who live here in southerrn california. If you go to the original in los angeles you will feel like you are in the fifties and its awesome. Its like a little shack and its very original. I can rsnt on here for hours on their food but you’ll never know how good it actually is untill you go there and actually try it!

Went there last week. The hotdog with chili was delicious and reasonably priced. Place was clean and service was fast, no lines. Went there about 9:30pm. Plenty of parking and seating. Bought a bottle water, not drinking much soda these days. Did low carb eats, no fries, no cheese, no soda and it was still Awesome! Place could use some background music and maybe more healthier sodas drinks like can sugar based vs hi fructose. Again, the food was great!

While waiting for out order there was couple seating down with 3 kids that were yelling outloud playing around, so we decided to take our order to go, I went up to the counter to tell the girl if they can make our order to go, she no problem, bext thing I know our oeder is ready n it on a tray, I told the if I can get box for to go, gave me a blank stare, this other lady behind the counter said I’ll take care it for you, when we got to the car my son take a bite out of the cheeseburger n theres the mustard… smh… went back inside got that blank look again… place was not busy they’re just werent paying attention

I always get diarrhea after I eat here. They should be forced to clean up or close down.

Awww our beloved, neighborhood Tommy’s. Warms the heart(or is it clogging it…) just thinking of this wonderfully chili-cheesy place. It is what it is: chili, cheese, fried potatos, burgers, etc… but done so god blessingly well. 5 stars

Came here on thanksgiving(today) because my sister and I got sick of all the turkey. I would’ve gave it 5 stars if they answered their phone(I called ahead to see if they were open but it kept ringing). My sister and I decided to drive around the neighborhood since no one answered :/ No one was in the drive-thru line which was a bonus! The cashier was very friendly and smiled the whole way through even though she had to work on thanksgiving which I greatly appreciated. Service was fast! I’ll definitely go back once I’m craving a burger.

Ofcourse not the healthiest food. But damn is it good. Friendly workers who go above and beyond for the customers. If any thing is wrong they fix it right way. Great service here.

Pros: Great location, very clean, pretty spacious compared to the other locations i’ve been too. Cons: Afternoon staff isn’t as good as the morning staff. Review: The breakfast burger is what keeps me coming back for more. I come quite often to this location and get the breakfast burger with french fries and it’s always perfect. If something isn’t right they’ll take your food back and fix it.

Back in the mid 70s, when I was a wild and crazy guy!, my buddies and I went to Tommy’s one late Saturday night after doing whatever we did that evening.(my mom might read this) we were standing in line waiting to order. Behind us stood Sonny & Cher with their little girl Chasity! A real cutie! She must be a lovely lady today. No offense to anyone. The original location is in Los Angeles. Opened in 1946, on the corner of Beverly & Rampart. This is where it all started, and still going strong. There are many locations in southern California now. Back then, you literally stood in the parking lot to eat. Unless you were lucky enough to park in the lot, then you could eat in your car. There was a long standing wooden counter attached on the side of a storage shed where you could put your messy chili burger. No soda machines! You grabbed a glass bottle of Pepsi or bubble up out of a open ice box. Popped the cap off with the bottle opener attached to the ice box. Tommy Koulax, founder of Tommy’s passed on at the age of 74, in 1992. Tommy’s still offers high quality burgers and a fantastic chili tamale topped with a thick slice juicy red beef steak tomato. I’m happy to have a nice clean Tommy’s near us with a friendly staff.
