I had shoulder surgery 11 days ago and I am thrilled with the results. I went in for several presurgical consults and I felt very confident that I was seeing the right surgeon. I am a dentist and my main concern was my ability to get back to work quickly. Dr. Hackley went over the possibility of two different kinds of surgery and did not promise any results, and on the contrary, prepared me for a longer recuperation. He answered every question and in some cases, answered them several times as I tried to get him to give me a more favorable progosis. I was off pain meds in two days post op, and had more range than I thought was possible (but under instructions from Dr. H., I limited my movements until I had my first physical therapy appointment).
About a week before my surgery, one of my patients asked me who was going to do my surgery. When I told her, she lit up. She had surgery 3 weeks earlier by Dr. Hacklet, and also had a favorable result. She reminded me that she was an orthopedic nurse and has spent time in may offices. The best surgeons were in Torrey Pines Orthopaedic and she picked Dr. Hackley as perfect for her surgery. I felt a lot better about my choice.

Dr Hackley surgically repaired my torn quad tendon and reattached it to my knee. this past June and he did a great job in all respects. My recovery has been excellent with no problems and expect 100% recovery. My follow up visits with him have been beneficial and I strongly recommend his skill and services.
