Chef Larry will work with you to create a custom menu that reflects your style and vision for the event, whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a larger affair. He and his staff will take care of all the food preparation, serving and cleaning, leaving time for you to enjoy your own party.

Unlike caterers, who may prepare food in an off-​site kitchen before the event and transport it to your location, Chef Larry prepares your meal right in your home or office.

Chef Larry Michaels emphasizes a personalized approach to gourmet cooking. Basing his menus and recipes on modern cuisine using fresh, seasonal products, Larry’s innovative cooking blends California flavors with regional French and Italian influences.

Larry’s interest in food started at a young age and was inspired by his grandmothers’ classic-​style cooking and traditional techniques. Throughout his youth Larry worked closely with his father in their family-​owned restaurants. His early restaurant experiences enabled him to develop a thorough understanding of the importance of quality food and personalized service.

Larry received his professional culinary education at the Culinary Institute of America (NY), the California Culinary Academy, the Ritz Escoffiér and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France, Relais Gourmand’s L’Ecole des Chefs internship program in northern Italy and at the CIA at Greystone (Napa).
