History

Established in 2010.

I had a LinkedIn account like most folks and never did anything with it. In 2007 out of desperation when my seminar business lost 35% of our clients due to the economic slodown, I was desperate for clients. I accidentally discovered the power of LinkedIn when one of my colleagues asked for an introduction to someone whom I didn’t know. However I found him on LinkedIn and saw he was connected to someone I did know. I asked my friend if he would facilitate an introduction to my colleague. He did and this resulted in a giant sale. That’s when I became an avid LinkedIn user. People started calling me the LinkedIn Guy because I was such an advocate of the site. This lead to eventually getting invited to Dubai to speak at a Social Media Conference and to the creation of the Link Power Coaching Program.

Internationally Rick earned the Best Speaker Award at the «You Learn Twit Face» international social media conference held in Dubai. Rick’s upcoming 2012 speaking engagements take him back to Dubai with stops in the UK and India. Rick frequently serves as a subject-​matter expert resource for both online and offline social marketing reporters and bloggers.
