Dr. B. is one of the top surgeons in San Diego if not the nation. His skill and demeanor are second to none. This as recognized by patients and colleagues alike. Doctor B. is constantly voted the surgeon other surgeons would be most likely to bring their families to, and with good reason.
He has performed a facelift, chin augmentation, fat transfer to face
Laser and IPL treatments and Botox and Dermal fillers to face on me and similar procedures on my wife.
My wife has received much the same and also received a flawless breast reduction which turned a largely botched surgery of a former physician into a landmark success.
Dr B. has been kind and generous with his time and his staff are each and every one a treasure. You could not be in nicer, gentler hands.
Unqualified recommendation to his whole organization! Please come see him and at least include him in your evaluation. He will not be the cheapest but understandably so. Excellent treatment takes time and excellent people, both of which cost money. But you will be living with the result of your decision for years. Dr B has corrected many mistakes other surgeons have made on my wife and I. Had it to do over again, I would have gone to him in the first place.

Why on earth it has taken me so long to Unilocal about Dr. Barttelbort is just beyond me! I have been going to Dr. ««B» for several years now. There is no reason to go elsewhere! You would think it’s enough that his background includes Yale, Chief of plastic surgery at Scripps, or has participated in Doctors’ without borders, but those just skim the surface. His wonderful caring bedside manner and complete professionalism are echoed throughout his entire office staff. Who, by the way, has been with him for about as long as I have been going there. Being associated with the medical industry, I have worked with many physicians. Dr. Barttelbort’s skilled hands & attention to detail are pretty amazing. He has a conservative approach & will not make you look overdone. I cannot stress enough his beautiful outcomes. I have referred many friends and acquaintances to him with stunning results. Your search is over, I’m just glad I may have saved you from the wrong decision!

I had an amazing first visit with Dr. Barttelbort and Nurse Kristi. As a full time working Mom I had been talking about addressing my «11» for sometime as it seemed to be getting more prominent with my years. He addressed this area along with my crows feet area and how amazing do I feel? I felt good before and now after one treatment it looks amazing! I have a list of items I would like to tackle lips, neck, belly (3 c-​sections), bust and bottom (flat). This will take time and I pray that he will be practicing when I am able to afford the big ticket items. His office is located in the Xmed building where I started on an internship with my current employer 10 years ago, how it has changed! I recommend you calling for a consult and speaking with Tanya she is personable and very knowledgable. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon who is excellent in every area, you can rest easy. You have found him. If you are looking for an exceptional office staff who will care for you along your journey, you can rest easy. You have found them. My need for a plastic surgeon was due to my breast cancer diagnosis. I was referred to Dr. Barttelbort by my surgeon, Dr. Paul Hyde (also excellent.) They worked together to perform my mastectomy and reconstruction. From the very beginning, Dr. B and his staff walked me through the procedure, and explained exactly what I would be experiencing. You don’t often get a Dr who is exceptionally talented, yet has an incredible bedside manner. With Dr. B you will get both. He will be caring, thorough, and professional. The staff are all incredible. In my opinion, Dr B and his staff are simply the best!

Dr Barttelbort is the the best surgeon and physician I have ever met. I have been seeing him for over 20 years and I am always completed impressed with his bedside manner, his office staff and his finished product. He is a 10 time Top Doc In San Diego for good reason. For those suffering from Breast Cancer Dr Hyde and Dr Barttelbort continue to be the A Team in Southern California. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

I can’t say enough about Dr B, I had 3 consults w/​other Dr’s before I meet him and the difference was dramatic. Not only does he listen to you, but he tells you honestly what he thinks and what he recommends. He exchanged my implants for smaller ones and gave me a lift w/​out the traditional cuts, less evidence that he was there ! From start to finish it was such a great experience!

I’d never felt compelled to write about my experience with a physician’s office until I met Dr. Barttelbort and his staff. In August of 2014 I found out I had the BRCA-​1 gene mutation. I began my exploration into treatment options by asking not only friends for recommendations, but also my family physician and the nursing staff at the offices I attended during the diagnostic process. Repeatedly Dr. Barttelbort’s name came up.
I initially made three appointments with three different plastic and reconstructive surgeons in the San Diego area. Dr. B was the first consultation on my list. From the moment I arrived, his office staff was warm and welcoming.
Upon meeting Dr. B, it immediately became clear why year after year he’s recognized by his peers and revered by patients as an exceptional surgeon. He was kind, patient, and completely focused on me and making sure ALL of my questions were addressed. I instantly knew he was the surgeon for me. I’d never felt such compassion from a doctor in my life, and as someone who has worked in healthcare; I can say I’ve never met a doctor like him, or a staff as professional and personable as his.
After that initial consultation, I cancelled all my other appointments and scheduled my surgery with him immediately. I didn’t need to meet with anyone else! Four months, and two surgeries later, I can say with 100% conviction I made the perfect choice. Not only is he dedicated to his patients, he’s an incredibly talented surgeon. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction surgery and at forty-​six years old I can happily say my breasts look better than they did before my surgeries! I never realized how important that would be to me post-​op. Nor did I expect such amazing results, but in hindsight I’m not surprised because it was one of the things I heard from people when they referred me to him.
During one of the most challenging times in my life, Dr. B and his staff not only held my hand and supported me they made me whole again. They’ve been instrumental in my not only my physical healing, but my emotional healing as well. I’m forever grateful for their exceptional and loving care, and if I ever find myself considering any plastic surgery in the future, Dr. Barttelbort will be my first choice.

Dr. Barttelbort is an excellent cosmetic surgeon. He worked with Dr. Paul Hyde for my double mastectomy. Dr. Barttelbort was so careful with the reconstruction, I couldn’t imagine anyone being more meticulous.
