I am very happy with all aspects of treatment I receive at Affinty Dental Of La Mesa. I have an illness that requires me to see many physicians so I have a lot of experience with a variety of doctors and medical staff, and I can say without hesitation that Affinity Dental Of La Mesa is among the very best!

My experience at Affinity Dental in La Mesa was just as excellent as it has been every single time I have been going there, because I’m always treated as though I’m the most important person they’re seeing that day! I will gladly recommend them to anyone seeking the best place to go for all their dental needs!

Everyone is nice. Everything is explained up front. I don’t ever feel like treatments are being suggested that I really don’t need. If I have questions, they are always completely answered and explained before moving on. Honest, fast, good service and nice people. I honestly hate going to the dentist, but I have never had a bad experience here… which makes it easier. I would recommend them to anyone. To me, it seems like more of a family here compared to a huge office where the number one priority is making money. They always remember me and always have a smile. I live downtown now, but have kept them as my dentist. I won’t go anywhere else!

This is by far the best dentist office ever. You can tell that it is a family there. Everyone is friendly and all seem to genuinely enjoy being there. From my first visit to my latest one it hasn’t changed. They provide great care! It’s a care thing not a money thing!

I had been to another dentist who started dental work before I was approved for financial help. Once the upper teeth were done she immediately wanted to do the bottom. I stayed away from dentists for a few years until my son told me about his experience with Affinity. I gave them a try and was very impressed from the get go. No jitters at having to see the dentist. Pleasant and calming atmosphere. I have recommended them to several people.

Affinity Dental has been amazing! I hate dentist appointments but they are so friendly and gentle on the flossing/​picking and I never feel like they’re trying to sell me on anything unnecessary.

Very friendly staff from the receptionists up front to he dentists in the back. The father/​son team is very professional and great at explaining what they are doing to you before they do it. Keeps the anxiety from creeping up.

I took my daughter to this dentist for her first check up, and it was pretty rough, one of the worst dentist experiences I’ve had. My pediatrician recommended we take her in, and this was one of the local dentists in my network. My daughter is 2, and the dentist was very rude and condescending, asking me in a reproachful tone why I was there, then telling me it was ridiculous that I was there. The American academy of pediatric dentistry recommends that children see a dentist by their first birthday, so I was confused why he was so rude and accusatory. Ironically, he ended by saying the purpose of bringing children in at this age is so they can have a positive association with dentists. If you have small children, I urge you to find someone else.

Everyone working here is great and friendly from the doctors to the front desk. It’s my third time coming here for exam and cleaning and every time I leave with satisfaction and great experience. I would recommend this dental office to family and friends.

Time for my cleaning! I wish they would lower their prices when it comes to getting Invisalign or have a few better options for pavements when it comes to a student like myself.

Everything about my visit was pleasant – the courteous office staff was friendly and accommodating, the waiting room was clean and modern, and everything about the procedures I was having done was clearly explained, and the Dr. Paul Michels is knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He’s the best dentist I’ve been to in years! He has a lot of experience working with dental implants and I don’t trust my teeth to anyone else. I’ll be back and would love to refer my friends!

We are very pleased with the service here. They seem to try to make your life easy and do things that are in your best interest. From Susie the receptionist, to Joe, the hygienist to Steven the doctor, it was a smooth service. They are great with kids as well. They really took the time with my 7 year old and made sure she was well taken care of. Prices are the most reasonable I have seen, so it makes it a no brainier for us. We’ll keep coming back.

This dental group is awesome, I first chose this office because I found them on groupon. They are professional and clean. The girls in the front are super nice, and so is the staff in the back. I have no dental insurance I came in knowing I had some issues, about a month before one of my silver fillings broke… To make a long story short, When I found out I needed 6 fillings and 2 crowns, not once did I feel pressured to make an appointment, actually Dr. Michael’s told me to shop around, he also told me that other dentist would have other opinions. I have a couple friends in dentistry, after i told them how much he was charging me they told me to definitely get it done! One guy (who my mom sees) was charging me 900 for the same thing this office charged me 670 for. My white fillings cost 130 each… Must I tell you, I tried purchasing the dental insurance this office has to offer, but the doctor and the guy who writes up the price plan told me no need, why would I pay the monthly fee… they would charge me the same as if I had that plan, they didn’t lie because it was all in that little insurance brochure sitting on the front desk. I had my temp crown and fillings done with Dr. Felsted he was super nice and very professional, didn’t feel any pain, only a few days after… Called the office and they got me in for an appointment asap, took some x-​Rays and prescribed some antibiotics … They actually all hoped I didn’t need a root canal, I mean they could have made extra money right there if they wanted to, I know nothing about dentistry, Dr. Michaels told me to wait it out! So… Honestly I don’t know what these other people are complaining about when it comes to prices, hello people this is a dentist and they all charge this much, If so… much more, Going back in two weeks for more fillings and soon another crown :) thanks guys!

Both my husband and I switched over to this dental office about 7 months ago. The staff is friendly and professional. We have only had cleanings… but…so far so good!

Hubby and I had our first consult/​appointment with the office. We had a decent experience and appreciated the customer service from the staff. My only issue was with pricing. This office uses «upgraded» items on certain procedures that aren’t fully covered my insurance. For example, their cleaning would cost me $ 95 because they use a bacterial wash not covered by insurance. We’ve dealt with insurance fraud from our last office so I am very precise on what procedures I will allow. My husband needs a lot of work so his fillings alone would cost approximately $ 900 since they don’t use silver fillings (insurance covers at 100%). Instead, they use «tooth colored» fillings. Again there is nothing wrong with the office and staff but unfortunately we cannot afford to keep them as our primary dental clinic.
