We are a full service dental office. We specialize in many areas — fillings, crowns, bridges, and implant restorations as well as TMJ and either minor or major problems associated with jaw. To help maintain or stablilize your bite or to protect your teeth we offer both night guards made specifically for your mouth as well as snore guards for those that are interested. We specialize in cosmetic dentistry offering veneers, cowns, teeth whitening, and bonding, working with some of the best dental technicians available to obtain beautiful and natural looking results. We have two dental hygenists who provide excellent preventitive care, to help you maintain your teeth and mouth in the best possible condition. We love providing a family friendly enviorment, and welcome everyone looking for excellent dentistry with a friendly and personable staff.

History

Established in 1981.

Dr. Matosian bought the existing practice of Dr. Kenneth Shipstead in 1981. He has been practicing in the La Mesa area since 1977. The majority of his staff have been serving the community along with him for 30+ years.

Business Owner

Dr. Matosian did his undergraduate work here in San Diego at UCSD. Following that he entered USC Dental school graduating in 1975 with honors. After graduation he moved to Switzerland where he did children’s dentistry. Upon his return he opened his own office in 1977.

Dr. Matosian has always placed a high priority on both education and Continuing Education. He has been a faculty member at USC dental school. In addition he himself has taken numerous continuing education courses, completing the five part program at the well-​respected Pankey Institute of Florida, as well as courses with Dr. Peter Dawson. Currently he co-​directs the Odontic Seminar a Continuing Education seminar.

In additon he has maintained membership with both the American and California Dental Associations. Initially he served as a member of the CDA Peer Review Committee in San Diego, eventually serving as its Chairman.
