This place is wonderful!!! Vic and his wife Nadine were so helpful. They really took care of my family in this hard time. My father passed away after several days in the hospital. My family and I had to make so many decisions at the hospital plus plan his Celebration of Life ceremony and make family arrangements. When the time came to cremate my father all we wanted was someone to guide us through and make things less confusing. Vic was an answer to our prayer. He explained to us everything we needed to know plus things we didn’t even know we needed to know. Their prices are far more than reasonable and the attention to every detail they exhibit lets you know that your loved one is in good hands. Everyone in the office is warm and comforting and the facility itself is really nice. I was most impressed with the website. It was informative as well as aesthetically pleasing.

After another funeral home seemed to lose patience with me for not knowing the ins and outs of funeral services, Legacy went above and beyond my expectations. Chris immediately understood what I was looking for and even offered suggestions without up-​selling. My family and I are completely grateful to the way they catered to our needs. The entire staff is truly compassionate and caring. I can’t say enough good things about them during this trying time.

Vic, Nadine, Chris and everyone who works for this family owned business go out of their way to help you and there is NO pressure of any kind to do or buy anything. In this overly commercial world we live in this business is a breath of fresh air. We feel so blessed to have found them.

A great family owned and operated funeral home. After a loved one suddenly passed and we needed to find a funeral home, I called multiple locations.
Legacy and Chris in particular was very compassionate and seemed to understand what we were going through. He was easy to talk to and deal with. All the other places I called seemed to talk so fast that I couldn’t even get any detail without them repeating what they said. They were in a rush to get off the phone.
I knew from that moment, that legacy was who we wanted to go with.
The entire family was very nice and helped in any way they could. They didn’t try to up sell anything either. They gave us exactly what we wanted. The would take our phone call at any time and willing to meet on the weekends with our busy weekday schedule.
They took great care of our loved one. We were so happy with the experience.

If everyone was as nice and competent as Michelle and Nadine, we would live in a much different world and I’m thankful that my first funeral arrangement experience was with them! My uncle passed away in May, he was cremated, and they handled the Consulate paperwork to transport him to Mexico which was a huge plus for us. Michelle kept us informed of each step and they were so accommodating for his wake. They provided us with peace of mind and professionalism and we are forever grateful!

After our loved one passed so suddenly. we were given a list with names and phone numbers of different funeral places. after calling multiple places to get quotes we then looked at reviews for all the places we called… this place has 5 stars and it is well deserved. Nadine was so sympathetic and showed such empathy with us. nadine took the time to explain everything to us making us feel more at peace with the whole process and experience…

We were faced with the suicide death of our father. There were so many things that needed to be done yesterday. Vic, at Legacy, was the most compassionate helper in getting the arrangements in place. Our dad was a veteran and Vic knew exactly what to do for Fort Rosecrans and the options available for a veteran in our situation!!! They even provided the full military honors arrangements and flag to use for the honors. No pressure-​only compassion!!!

One of the most life changing difficult experience you will ever face is losing a loved one. In my case it was my partner. We had wonderful memories, then one day that all came to an end, and I was left devastated. Even more difficult is trying to take the next steps after a loved one has passed. In my situation, I was everything to my beloved, and he was everything to me. I was faced with the difficult situation of planning cremation care services while dealing with the estate, calling people, planning a celebration of life, and trying to mourn.
After calling a couple of other funeral and mortuary business, I was left confused and irritated. These other businesses tried to sell me so many add-​ons. Flowers, necklesses, candles, cards.
I then turned to Legacy and went in for a meeting. It was simple, efficient and painless to deal with them. I felt calm and secure that my partner was in good hands. He is now resting peacefully and can keep moving on.
If you are faced with a similar situation, I strongly recommend Legacy. Just writing this email bring tears to my eyes. I can move on.

Legacy Funeral and Cremation has to be the BEST of the best! My father passed away and I am so very lucky to have ended up in the loving, honest hands of Nadine and Vick.
From the minute you speak to them on the telephone as well as throughout the entire process, you know you are in good hands, you know they are going to take the best care of you and your loved one.
Our family had a unique circumstance which was difficult for me to handle, Nadine and Vick did not miss a beat and handled our situation with poise and understanding.
There were many, many phone calls which were made to them and I never once felt as though they were sick of me (though they should have been.)
There were so many things I wanted to buy to remember my father with as he was cremated. I did end up purchasing some of those things but Vick let me know on some others that I had time to go home and think about them and decide another time… I believe many other people may have been quick to sell me as many things as they could have, not the case at ALL here at Legacy and I appreciate that.
More than anything this family owned and operated establishment handled a very sad time for me in the best way anyone could have, I am so thankful to them, their patience, understanding and sympathy. Thank you Legacy.
Though I don’t wish for anyone I love to pass anytime soon, I will undoubtably return to them for their services.

My mom passed away three days ago. I initially went to another funeral home that was close to my home. What a mistake that was. They were cold and attempted to overcharge me. I then did a little research and found Legacy. Vic and his wife Nadine were fantastic. They made a difficult time for us a whole lot easier with their caring and compassionate ways. Their prices were reasonable too. They get a hundred thumbs up.

I found Legacy on Unilocal just hours before my father passed away. Very glad that I did! Vic helped my brother, mother and myself through literally EVERY little detail from VA help to the Viewing down to getting him to his final resting home at Miramar National. And we were so thankful for that because there was so much that we didn’t consider. Facilities were clean, very affordable and his wife Nadine was just as accommodating as he was. Thank you soooo much Vic and Nadine!

I contacted Legacy based on Unilocal reviews. It was the day before my grandmother passed. I had called maybe a dozen other funeral services. Chris Seguin was by far the most professional, detailed in providing information, thorough in explaining the process, and it was an added bonus that they were experts handling veterans’ matters.
Based on Chris’ professionalism and the reasonable rate that was quoted, Legacy was the one I decided to call when my grandmother passed.
He gave us an accurate time of pick-​up, was gentle and kind, and checked with us multiple times to see if we wanted more time with her before he moved her.
When meeting with us to fill-​out paperwork, he was knowledgeable, patient, and was able to equally meet the needs of family members, some who were at ease talking about «business» and others who were much less comfortable.
He never ever was pushy about selling us more or higher priced items. Much different from other circumstances where we have felt pressure from salespeople.
Chris kept us updated each step of the process, provided us stands for flowers being delivered directly to the church, he helped scan photo of my grandmother for the prayer cards, and he found a person to handle the dove release ceremony the day before the service (extremely short-​notice).
Every employee who assisted us on the phone was kind, knowledgable and professional. Chris was extremely prompt in responding to phone calls and emails.
Legacy Funeral and Cremation Care defines the true meaning of ‘CARE.’ They helped make a difficult and stressful time MUCH MUCH easier.
We will be using them in the future and have every confidence in recommending them to others.

When my son Vinny passed away June 29^th 2013 at the age of 5 I was devastated he was the love of my life my prince my wingman my best friend Vic help me do everything. I’m in the business; on the pet side of aftercare. I was referred to Vic by a mutual vendor named Dolly, Who owns my heart strong memory beads Nick was a true true gentleman and help me walk through this grieving process oF saying goodbye to my little boy. Being in the business I wanted to participate more than the average quiet as far as picking my son from the morgue driving him home for the night before the day of cremation. Then actually being there at the cremation and actually putting my own son in to the crematory Vic made sure I got to do this and made sure that I got to be a part of the process. I will Always be grateful for legacy Funeral Home and the care that they gave to my son and my family in my I darkest hour. Funny how God can work in your life when tragedies like this happen sometimes good can come from something like this. One great thing has happened my wife has accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior after the passing of my son. I’m still searching for my answers but they gave me the closure that I needed. About two to three months later it was time for me to serve Nick and his family. unfortunately the passing of their pet was also very hard on them it was my pleasure to help him in his time of need. We used Legacy based on Unilocal reviews. Prompt and courteous pick up from our home and we went back today to make arrangements.
Daughter and son in law are now helping Vic and Nadine with the business.
Most impressed with the fact that they didn’t try to «upsell» us on anything. Or make us feel bad for the choices we made. Certainly hope we don’t have to use their services any time soon. But if you do, recommended without hesitation.

This is the first Unilocal review I’ve written, however, I received such wonderful service from Vic and Nadine that I feel compelled to give them a recommendation so others can find them when they need them.
I live in Los Angeles and my sister was just outside San Diego. She passed away suddenly, and I like many on here, were suddenly desperate to make her arrangements without being there to handle the details. I saw all the stars here on Unilocal and the comments others took the time to write and thought this must be the right place to go. From the first conversation with Vic I knew I made the right decision. Both he and and Nadine are so patient and understanding, and I cannot stress how helpful they are. I cannot recommend them enough. I know my sister was in good hands with them.
