History

Established in 2013.

Spa Piel has changed its name from «Spa-​Lash Studio & Specialty Spa» as of April 15, 2015. The name has been changed but the services are still the same. Our spa has been in business since 2013. We specializes in Corrective Skin Care, Eyelash Extensions, Eyelash Extensions Education, Back & Body Treament, Make-​Up and Spray Tanning Services.

My name is Lynda Toovey, I am an Esthetic and Eyelash Extensions Educator for Bellus Academy-​El Cajon. Eyelash Extensions and Corrective Skin Care are my Specialties. I have a degree Business & holds multiple certifications in areas such as Eyelash Extensions, Professional Skin Biology and Chemical Peels, Advanced Chemical Peels, Multiple Methods for Multiple Intelligence, Lymphatic Massage to name a few. I also have an international diploma in Beauty Treatments (ITEC) and is a current member in good standing with ASCP & NAPW.

I have been getting my eyelash extensions done by Lynda for the past 8 months and unfortunately I needed to take them off due to me moving and not knowing where to get them done in the new city I am moving to but I just had to write a review because after taking my lash extensions off my lashes still look fantastic! I was so worried because I had read so many horror stories about taking your lashes off and having bald spots or having them look thinner and shorter but my real lashes are still so heathy! Lynda really knows what she is doing and her technique has obviously been perfected. I highly recommend getting lash extensions from her, and I am looking forward to being able to get them from her again. She is so knowledgeable and with following the lash care tips that she explained to me my natural lashes are still as healthy as they were before putting lash extensions on. She will definitely be the only person I will ever go to when I decide to get lash extensions again.

I was so happy to get a last minute appointment here for a skin crisis yesterday. I already have troubled skin but as my luck would have it, I woke up with ginormous painful hormonal eruptions on my chin and I fly out today. Paige gave me an awesome custom facial and Lynda was really sweet, helpful and caring about getting my skin in check. She picked out products for me to try out. I’m visiting my mom right now and when she saw me after coming home from work, she immediately commented on how good my skin looked compared to how she saw me earlier. She said my spots seem lighter and my skin softer, smoother and brighter. She mentioned it a couple more times! I avoid the mirror but I kept looking because she was right. Paige was so funny when she said my skin was angry, it was so true! She really did a great job on my extractions, there was really not much pain considering how swollen some spots were. They definitely were relieved and the products she used seemed great. Thanks to these ladies at least my skin is healing now for my trip and not raging on. I will absolutely be back here on my next visit.

I just had eyelash extensions applied for the first time, and… I’m hooked! I highly recommend seeing Paige at Spa Piel! She did a fantastic job. She totally exceeded all of my expectations. I am obsessed and cannot stop looking in the mirror.
The salon itself was lovely as well. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Relaxing experience. I will definitely be returning and referring my friends to see Paige at Spa Piel.

I got my lashes done and I absolutely love them! They are so dramatic looking and I don’t have to wear make up on my eyes at all! They last a while as well. If you are looking to spice it up for a special event, they are the perfect choice! I would most definitely come back again, great service.

Paige does such a great job on my lashes! I have been coming to her for a few months and the results are life changing! I don’t need to wear any eye makeup and my eyes look so open and pretty. My eyes are a bit small and the lashes she gives me make my eyes stand out much more while still looking natural. Good pricing and great work. Definitely recommend her!

First time getting a facial (micromabration) got a deal on Groupon paid 50 $ for 100 $. Called for appointment same day was able to get in. Her name was Roxanne very friendly and knowledgeable. She was super sweet knowing it was my first time she explained everything she was doing.
The process was an hr long I don’t remember exactly what was done first but each time there was a wait because she has to leave the product on for 10 min she would give me massages. I felt she went above n beyond, making me feel comfortable. She was very detailed orientated took extra care of my face.
Overall I love the place! Just need to save money for it lol

I have to give this shop 5 stars and if it were possible I’d give six stars. First I love the location in the center La Mesa Village and second the wonderful smell when you walk in. Im not going to give away the secret scent but lets just say if the ladies and the awesome work they do here wasn’t enough to keep you coming back, the scent certainly would.
I had a microdermabrasion facial the other day that blew my mind. Yes, guys can get a facial too. Roxanne is quite the professional, very talented and very knowledgeable. I think i enjoyed learning about my skin and proper skin care just as much as the facial and the added upper body massage she gives to further help your face and face muscle relax. Its the small simple touches like that, that I really appreciate and keep me coming back.
You really can’t go wrong in the shop, between Roxy and Lynda your guaranteed to get great service that you will appreciate time and time again.

This was my second time at Spa Piel and I can’t recommend it enough. My first visit I had a facial with microdermabrasion from Roxanne, and a full set of lashes with Lynda. My skin was absolutely glowing and everyone loves my lashes. Just a little bit of concealer on my lids and I look fully alert and awake and ready to go. No more eyeliner or mascara, and the best part is it looks natural!
I just went back for a peel with Roxanne and a lash fill. Can’t say enough nice things about this girl, I really like her mellow and calming energy, go see her and your skin will thank you!
The space itself is intimate and cute, a fun atmosphere. Thanks ladies!

Roxanne is ammazing. I had facial and microdermabrasion treatment appointment, I was running late and falt bad because she came early for me but she was so nice. I had this treatment for the first time she explain each stap. I really enjoyed relaxing. My face now look so soft my friend notice the diffirent directly. She is very knowledgeable person I highly recommend and realy look for my next session.

Having suffered a broken arm and placed on disability a month ago I’ve been looking for daily activities. I was super happy to see an Amazon Local deal for this cute spa in my La Mesa neighborhood. My clinician was Jen, I was running a tad late and felt really bad — but she was a sweetheart, totally forgiving– made me feel right at home.
Because of the big cast she couldn’t really do a shoulder massage so she gave me an awesome foot massage with a facial — she used great products, lots of floral scents, very light touch, clean space, and gentle extractions. Looking forward to my next visit!

Came here on a recommendation by the owner, Lynda, to get a nose waxing. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes tops from the moment I arrived at her Salon. It didn’t hurt one bit and I was able to get my nose hair groomed to the point I won’t have any uncomfortable nose hairs bothering me for the next 8 weeks or so. Parking this day was free due to the inconvenience of all the street repairs and renovations going on. I will definitely be back again, and I hope to try some of the other spa facial services offered by Spa Lash Studio in the very near future. I would give Spa Lash Studio a 6-​Star Unilocal Review if I could!!! Thanks Lynda!!!

Lynda at Spa Lash Studio is the best! She is so sweet and always makes me laugh. I got my lashes done by her last week and they still look like I got them done today. Ive gotten so many compliments on my lashes even when Im not wearing makeup! It makes me feel so beautiful and its nice to not have to wear mascara. My skin is really sensitive, and the glue she uses is so gentle and lasts forever. Her spa is so pretty and she welcomed me with a glass of wine! Im in love with this place, her staff is so friendly… especially this really sweet lady named Jen, and the services are excellent! I can’t wait to try her other services like microdermabrasion, facials, and spray tanning. Highly recommended!

«REAL MEN TAKE CARE OF THEIR SKIN» that’s what it said on their sidewalk sign, it caught my attention! I went inside to ask a few questions. The women inside was so nice and convinced me to get a facial. I’ve never experienced a facial before but I imagined it to smell «girly» this facial DID NOT! It was a facial just for men and it smelled like it. It was just the right combination of relaxation and grit, she gave me a really nice massage on my face too. I left with my face feeling so clean and smooth. Real men DO get facials! Jenifer was the awesome girl who served me and I will be back.
