Last night my husband and I were craving Boba after our work out. We checked the hours on Unilocal, which indicated they were open until midnight. We arrived at 11:37, only to be turned away because the last Boba was made at 11:30. I don’t have a complaint about the product, however, I see it as poor customer service when you turn away a customer almost 30 minutes prior to closing. Not sure if it was the decision of the kid behind the counter or the owner. You can walk into any restaurant 30 minutes prior to closing and they will serve you. The door might as well have been locked at 11:30.

I’m always here to study lol. I love it here because all my friends are chilling here. So if I come, I see all my friends. I barely study because sometimes it’s so loud. But that’s okay. It’s fun haha

*Drinks: 8⁄10 –Just the usual type of boba drinks. *Vibe: 7⁄10 –I come here a lot to study but sometimes these kids are SOLOUD when they supposedly come here to study too. *Workers: 8⁄10 –I would give 10⁄10 because the younger workers are KIND to me and have been kind to me since day 1, but the manager(she’s an older asian woman) is rude. When I started to come here to study every Friday, she told me «you have to buy a drink, but the boba isnt ready until 11:30.» I fine with that, UNTIL, my second visit she told me I have to buy a drink and I said«I am but doesn’t the boba – » and then she cut me off as I was speaking saying«Yeah, okay.» And walked away. I’m not the type to get hot headed, but I have not been treated that way at a boba place. Overall: 7⁄10 Would’ve given 5 stars but I witness the manager being rude to other customers. Smh.

Let’s start with the drinks: The drinks are mediocre, nothing special about them. I got the boba iced coffee, which tasted more boba milk tea than coffee. Depending on your preference you may or may not like this drink. Vibe: A lot of people actually come here to study so they do provide many tables and 4 couches. There are picnic benches, round tables, small round tables, and etc. It seems like more high schoolers come to study so if you’re not down for loud chit chat I would not recommend studying here. Well I guess you can’t blame them since this is a boba café, not a library. Workers: The workers are extremely unprofessional. I’m not the one to really care about the workers but dang at least pay attention to me while I order. The staff are constantly talking really loud and curse at one another frequently. In summary this place is okay. Perhaps I came on a bad day for them, but based on my experience today, I probably wouldn’t make a second trip.

Boba goodness! Mmmmmm Thai iced tea: large and in charge, gf got strawberry nana with boba. Both very very good, pretty stoked about it and they’re open til midnight hell yea. Oh yea barely saw it at night the actual bobaloca doesn’t light up but it’s next to a phở place and has a neon light that says tea and coffee.

I ordered a coconut frapp large with jelly And it was around 4.65. Few mins later they gave me a small sized one yet they just said this is what you ordered and it is 4.65 including jelly&tax. Regular sized coconut frapp without any add up was 3.75 And larger one was 4.25. Funny

a lot of tables and couches. a couple outlets, which makes it an ideal place to study… until all of the LOUD ajummas and ajashis start coming. so earphones are a definite must. drinks can be a hit or a miss… depending on the worker. i like their strawberry shake and if you want to be adventerous, they let you mix flavors! passion-lychee sluch is pretty bomb. they have shaved ice, waffles, and sandwiches… but no popcorn chicken!): overall, its not the best but not the worst. nice place to just chill.

Every time I come here, the place is always out of boba. Some people want the boba. BUT, the inside of this place is very cozy and comfortable though. Great place to just hangout with friends and chat.

I just sat down and got my books out, and two minutes after some woman comes up to us and says, «YOUCANTSTAYHEREIFYOUDONTBUYSOMETHING» Well isn’t that just the rudest thing I’ve ever heard. she only gave us two minutes to get situated! I used to come here when I was in high school to study quite often. But I don’t think I’m going to come back. It’s hot, loud, and drinks come out so much slower now. I love that there a big tables for studying though. But still, it’s way too hot to study here.

As all the other reviews mentioned, the old lady is seriously something else. Every time I come here, I always have a problem with her, but I keep coming back because it’s the closest location to home. I’m always reminded to never ever come back and after the last incident, it’ll be my last. I am hoping that they will change ownership or at least get rid of the lady, so I can frequent this place often. Just recently, I ordered boba milk tea and she gave me coffee instead. I told her that this is coffee, and she gives me an attitude. I gave her an attitude back. I felt really bad afterwards, but she was really pushing my buttons. She doesn’t admit it was her fault that she used the coffee dispenser instead of the milk tea one. Problems I’ve had with her: — Talks to me in informal korean. Dude, I’m in my 30s, and you talk to me like I’m a little kid. I am a customer, you know. — One time I walked in, waited for 10 mins to order. She was just hanging out in the back and didn’t dare to come out. I got impatient and walked out. — I ordered and wanted to use my debit card. She denied my payment and said there needs to be a minimum. Well, the other kids have always charged my card… — She charged one of the kids in front of me wrong. And didn’t admit to it. — She is always on the phone talking. Even if someone is ready to order, she is still yapping away.

Went here last night and waited 15 min to order. The workers here suck at multi tasking and will finish making all the drinks for the person before you before they take yours. But they were only making like 1 drink and couldn’t even start an order with me. Not to mention that they don’t greet anyone who comes in unless your Asian. Don’t go here.

This place seriously fucking sucks! Service is shitty! I was there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. No one did, the worker looked right at me and didn’t say anything or even acknowledge that I was there! RUDE. DON’T EVERGOHERE

The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. Their milk tea has the right amount of sweetness and their slushes are of a nice consistency; many other places make theirs very watery. Although they have a wide selection of drinks, my favorite is the lychee slush. I get it almost every time I come! I also love to order waffles or shaved ice, both of which are really good. Boba Loca is a great spot to hang out too, since they close late and have free wi-fi. I find myself going there to study all the time. They have both tables for those who need them and couches for people who just want to sit and watch TV. The guy with spiky hair who wears big t-shirts is really chill too! He is friendly and his drinks are always good. Since I go there pretty often, he remembers my usual order and makes it just how I like it.

I honestly think this establishment is in a different time zone and should be renamed. First, they advertise that they close at 12 midnight(but they really don’t). And 2nd, they run out of boba. You’re named Boba Loca and sell boba… how can you run out?! The other boba places I go to have never told me they’re out of boba. There have been multiple occasions when I have come in between 23:15 — 23:50 and I would be denied service because the rude cashier would tell me they’re closed or that they’re out of boba. They’d start clearing out their register and clean the place around 23:00 but their signs say they close at midnight! Stop misleading customers. Just say you close at 11. I know for a fact I’m not the only customer that has experienced this because after I came late one time, a group of 3 was also unable to buy any boba cuz I told them the store was closed. The guy working that night told me that closing at 12 means you can lounge around there until 12 and apparently you can’t buy anything. It just doesn’t make sense. I’ve been to other boba places where I come in 10 minutes before closing or even at closing like at Dolphin Bay and they’re still able to serve me boba. I give up on this place.

The customer service is shitty from the workers who’ve been there the longest but other than that. They have many tables and couches so you can do group activities here easily. There aren’t many plugs so you gotta find it fast, especially during the school year. Don’t expect boba in the mornings. They don’t have the best boba but for their prices it, it’s Nice. Also their shaved ice is so good & i don’t know what it is but the ice to topping ratio is great! & you can ask for red beans on the side.

HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE! Right when I entered the building, she ordered me to close the building door! Then, I ordered a small red bean shaved ice. after like 15 minutes of waiting, I finally asked her what happened to my order(bc the people who ordered after me were getting their drinks). She took a quick glance at her desk and then went working with my shaved ice. WITHNOSIGNOFAPOLOGIZING! the food is decent but the owner is just HORRIBLE. I gave 2 stars just for the food. the customer service would deserve an F.

— Lots of different variation of drinks but they specialize in boba. — price is pretty normal – not too expensive but not so cheap. — it was pretty empty on Friday night — good place to chill with friends. — free wifi with purchase

I stopped by for dessert after Korean barbecue. I haven’t been here in years. We had planned on coming to play board games, but they don’t have any anymore. I ordered a green tea latte. It was gunky and felt like I was drinking spoiled milk. I asked the worker if it was normal for there to be gunk in it and he said it was the green tea powder and he would try to mix it again. He gave me the drink back with even more gunk in it. I took two sips and am about to throw up. I just wasted $ 3. Apparently, their powder doesn’t dissolve? Will never return. Go to cerritos for more and better boba options.(My favorite is fusion tea bar) I am so grossed out that I felt compelled to write a Unilocal review to warn you guys. I’ve been using Unilocal for a long time but never felt the necessity to write a review until now.

Do the BOBALOCA! I’ve lived down the street from this place for years since before it existed but NEVER went inside! Not sure why because I love BOBA but not the balls! They just look funny! So I popped in here because I wasn’t hungry but wanted something to drink that wasn’t a soda and NOT water! I am so sick of water! I feel like a FRICKIN fish at times! So I figured I would give this place a try after years of passing by! The service was REALLYGOOD and they were nice and fast! And the place is NICE and CLEAN! Always a plus when food is involved not really a big deal when GREATFOOD is to be had since hole in the walls can usually have some of ZZZZZ-BEST food! They did not disappoint! Apparently they are a chain unbeknown to me! So I knew I would be in good hands or at least I hoped I would! I got a Mango Supreme Milk Shake. Still not BOBA but it was GOOD! It’s always nice when places have different things to offer except what is on the sign! It was really GOOD and PERFECT for the cold weather we are having! I’m NOT a fan of eating ice cream, sorbet, Popsicles, etc when it is hot! Go figure! I’m a weird one! I took it to go as I was doing a little running around! It was great to sit in my car driving around with the heater on and my heated seats drinking something cold! Funny how it is NOT against the law to eat, drink, polish you finger nails/toe nails(yeas I’ve seen it before), read a book or paper which is just as bad if not worse, but if you even look like your gonna text or talk on the phone and you’ll get a ticket! THEYAREALLBAD! Anyway…I veered off track again… My milk shake was a cross between SUMMERFUN and WINTERCOZY! ITWASSUPERYUMMY and ENJOYED every bit of it! Had I not been driving I would have LIKED out the remainder stuck to the sides! I will FORSURE be BACK!
