Years ago I want to a friend’s bbq and he was serving«tesajo» off the grill like carne asada, it was so delicious that even my wife whom isn’t a big meat eater asked for seconds and thirds. I was told they got it from Patricia’s Meats. That was about 6 yrs ago and I’ve been going there ever since, I’ve served tesajo from Patricia’s Meats countless times at my own bbq, always a crowd favorite. Pedro the owner asked me that first time I walked in and asked for tesajo, «who told you about tesajo?» I guess it’s not everyday that a Asian walks in a carniceria and asked for something that wasn’t even listed on the board. Anyhow, I’m not even sure if «tesajo» is spelled correctly, but it’s just how it sounds: te-sa-ho. So the tesajo is always made to order so you’ll get the freshest cut of beef(I always forget which cut it is…-_-) that’s freshly marinated. I just called ahead and ask them to prep it for me and take the 25 min drive down there to pick up. Both Pedro and Pedro Jr are good, friendly people. I also pick up the salsa verde they sell there… hmmm…getting hungry…
