Smart Cremation Of La Puente

I was asked to help my brother-​in-​law find an end of life creamation plan. He wanted something simple, low cost and no frills. After much research I contacted Smart Cremations in La Puente. Immendiately Alisia Amaya returned my call. She was able to answer all my questions to my satisfaction. I didn’t feel pressured at all. She didn’t insist that we meet in person and undestood that I felt more confortable dealing over the phone or thru emails. I did tell her I was researching competitors and she was very encouraging. She knew Smart Cremations was going to come back as the better deal and she was right. My brother-​in-​law was happy with the plan so we did purchase it.
The service I have received up until know as been excellent, thanks to Alisia Amaya. However, I can’t give this review 5 stars, even though it may not be Smart Cremations fault. I still don’t understand why we have to recieve the urn upon purchase of the plan. I was told it is California law, which I believe is true but it makes no sense. I would think that the crematory would need the urn at the time of need which could be many years from now and god knowswhere the urn will be at that time. Why should I have to responsible for storing it!!! Can’t Smart Creations just put the remains in whatever urn is available at the time? The other reason I can’t give Smart Cremations a 5 star rating is because I don’t know what their service is REALLY like until the time of need. How fast will they repond at the time of need? Will they do everything they promised? Will everything REALLY be included in the price of the package we paid for? I guess I’ll have to wait until the time of need to find out then I can update my review! But if I have any problems you know I’ll be calling Alisia Amaya!
