Dr. Samara is the best dentist in the area! There are many dentists that have flashy flyers and adds, but the most important factor is the expertise and experience of the doctor. Dr. Samara excels in both of those areas. After going to many different dentists over the years this is the one you should visit.
In addition to being the «expert», he has a wonderful personality — patient and trustworthy. My wife and I now bring our granddaughter (who lives in Lone Pine) to him when she visits. We trust him that much.

We are new to this office because we just moved to Sendero and we love it. Best cleanings our family has ever had. Office is lovely, staff is friendly and Dr. Santa is great. I’m thrilled we here and my children are very comfortable at this office. My daughter is usually a little nervous and they were great with her– so friendly and kind.

I have been going to this dentist for about 6 years now. I’ve had a lot of work done due to my terrible teeth. I’m also very sensitive. I think I actually have big nerves leading from my teeth to my gums.
He has a careful steady hand and if I’m cringing due to drilling or need more numbing, he’s quick to stop and numb me more. I really like numbing because I feel everything!
The hygenists have been great. The doctor always looks over any work before he lets you go.

Another few visits to this office since my review and I feel the need to bump it up to 5 deserving stars! Excellent care and kids love coming here. No tears, no whining, all smiles after each visit! Dr. Samra and his team are amazing!

Simple the best dentist in the OC!
Dr. Samra has been my one and only dentist for the past 18 years and I will put my pearly whites up against anyone else’s. He is a perfectionist and my smile is an example of his meticulousness.
His staff is also very accommodating and professional.

Dr. Samra has cared for me and my family’s dental health for the last 7 years since we relocated to California. I have had extensive dental work done by Dr. Samra, and I continue to be impressed by his skill/​expertise, as well as his genuine, authentic approach to building client relationships. He and his entire team, are always warm, friendly, smiling, and make you feel like you are the most important client of the day. It’s not easy to find a great dentist, and I’m grateful to have found him. I appreciate his commitment to excellence in his work, and the work speaks for itself. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone needing dental care, from check-​ups to cosmetic dentistry. He has helped my family and I in every aspect, and we remain incredibly loyal to him.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Samra since 2009. They are amazing in his office. Dr. Samra has cleaned my teeth himself and he’s very, very gentle. Their dental hygienists are top notch, very gentle, extremely informative and overall compassionate to every single patient. Erycka is a wonderful office manager. She takes care of you immediately and is very sensitive to understanding people’s fears of dentists.
Dr. Samra took care of years of dental neglect and worked with my insurance and my out-​of-​pocket fees. I really did some damage to my teeth and he took care of my dental health from 2009 – 2013. I was so happy when things finally were taken care of, and all, affordable out of my pocket when my insurance did not kick in.
I just went in for a recent teeth cleaning yesterday and I felt so good to hear, «Good. Good. Good,» whenever he went through my teeth and X-​rays. I never hurt during the cleaning process.
Even when I had some major stuff done, it was comfortable and Dr. Samra always checked in with me.
My daughter, Angilynn, loves Dr. Samra. She’s 10 years old. She always asks when we’re going back for a cleaning.
I’ve referred many of my own patients and friends to their clinic. I recommend them highly and I don’t really think there could possibly be a better team anywhere else in OC.

My husband and I have had nothing but good experiences for the past ten years. Even after moving from Ladera Ranch to Irvine almost 5 years ago, we continue to drive the distance because we are always pleased with everything from the professional and friendly staff to the consistently gentle, thorough, and excellent care we receive for optimum oral health. Highly recommended!

Dr. Samra and his staff are professional, courteous, and extremely warm. I had my teeth whitened by him, and I am constantly told that I have a beautiful smile. I have referred many of my friends to Dr. Samra and they have all come back very satisfied.

Dr. Samra has been my dentist for over a decade. His work has always been excellent and he always has the patient’s needs and comfort in mind. His staff is also very well selected and professional. The hygienists go the extra mile to ensure your teeth are as clean as possible before leaving and always make suggestions in a positive and constructive way. The office is always immaculate and it is a comfortable place to be in. I would not change a thing.

I love Dr Samra and his staff. Very clean office and professional staff. I drive from the Claremont area in the Inland Empire just to see Dr Samra. Every visit has been pleasant and the staff has gone over every detail from the preventative care to helping me understand my insurance coverage and possible out of pocket expenses. They actually went over that prior to the work I needed to ensure I was not getting stuck into a payment I may have not been prepared for. I would and have recommend this dentistry to others.

I have been coming to Dr. Samra for over five years now and I can honestly say he is the absolute best dentist ever! As a child I had a bad experience with a different dentist and as a result I had a lot of anxiety when it came time to see the dentist. For years, I neglected my dental needs and avoided seeing a dentist at all. When I moved to Ladera a friend referred me to Dr. Samra. It took me a while to get enough courage to schedule an appointment but I finally did… and thank goodness! Dr. Samra and his staff were extremely caring, patient, and gentle in all aspects of my visit. They took the time get to know me, walked me through every step of the process, and thoroughly explained everything from my insurance coverage to my follow up care. Over the past five years, they have continued to be just as gentle and caring as they were at my first visit and I can honestly say I feel like they are family! Dr. Samra is not only an outstanding dentist who performs exceptional work but he is also a genuine caring person who wants only the best for his patients. It is without any hesitation at all that I most definitely recommend Dr. Samra to anyone looking for a phenomenal dentist.

I have finally found a dentist that I can truly put my trust in. From basic fillings, to working with my nervous 7 yr old daughter, to changing my entire smile with veneers and crowns, Dr. Samra has done the best job I have ever seen. He always make us feel comfortable, welcome, cared for and his attention to detail is amazing. He really goes the extra mile to ensure that everything is done perfectly.

My phobia about dentistry is pretty extreme, I honestly dread going to the dentist and dealing with dental issues puts my anxiety over the top.
A friend recommend Dr. Samra when I broke a tooth. Dr. Samra is the most gentle dentist I have met in my life. He totally understood my phobias and took the time to explain the best way to treat not just my teeth but my anxiety over the visits as well.
If I could give higher than 5 stars I would, I have told several people at work about Dr. Samra and what a wonderful dentist he is and the excellent service he provided me.
My smile is now 100% improved because of the excellent work Dr. Samra completed on my teeth.
The entire office staff deserves a shout out as well; they treated me with not only kid gloves but were very encouraging and gentle as well. From the minute I walked in the door and met Erycka, I realized this team understands and cares about me and my entire experience.
While i am still stressed about going to the dentist, this wonderful group helps me get through the appointments so I don’t feel like I have to run away and hide from my dental visits.

For me to write a full review says a lot for my experience with Dr. Samra and his amazing staff who make you feel like home when it’s not the most comfortable situation. I am sure there are plenty of people who do not mind dentist visits but for myself it’s a challenge of feeling confident to be in that environment with out wanting to jump out of window. =) This is the first time I felt at ease, and when I came into my second visit I was impressed with how relaxed I was. The professionalism from the front desk to the chair sets the bar high for me.
With that said I recommend anyone who might have issues wanting to find the right Dentist I can assure you they will take great care of you and always have your budget in mind. Their bottom line is customer care and making you feel comfortable as possible. You can not change the fact I will always be uncomfortable being in the Dentist chair, but I can most definitely say I know I am good hands when I need to make my regular visits!!!

My wife and I went to this dentist a couple of times at his Mission Viejo, CA office where Henry’s wholefoods is located. We too have taken our kids and will not longer take our kids. He is not an amicable person. My kids did not like this person. He is not kid friendly.
First of all, this person is not professional. He treats his staff badly and does not love the profession. He fired a girl in the office because she tried to help me lower the cost of a procedure by working with my insurance company.
Second, my wife has several crowns placed. If there is a category for bad workmanship, this dentist wins hands down. My wife had continual bleeding for months due to the crownr being over sized. The size of the crown pushed against my wife’s gums and caused bleeding. We went back a few times and he weaseled his way out of trying to resolve the problem. So we took my wife to another dentist in Rancho Santa Margarita and he thoroughly explained why the implant job was bad.
Dr. Rockey (
) is a top professional and truly knows his craft. The best part of the new examination/​consultation was that a truly excellent professional (Dr. Rockey) in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA recognized the problem. We knew there was a problem, but Samra would not acknowledge. My wife certainly felt better knowing the cause of bleeding and inflammation was the badly placed crown.
Third, Dr. Samra’s wife would come to the office and they would discuss money issues constantly. This was so annoying. I felt the experience was horrible. Send your kids to a real pediatric dentist. Do not waste energy here.
Finally, there are NO BIG Smiles for Samra or this office. I would leave sad, depressed, unmoved, unemotional, and promised to never visit the ‘death valley’ of dentists. If a negative rating existed, this would have been my grade to this ugly practice.

Dr. Samra is hands down the BEST dentist in Orange County! He is always so nice and professional. I get very nervous getting dental procedures done and Dr. Samra and his staff always make me feel comfortable and calm. Every time I go to the office, his staff is so welcoming and warm to me. I would recommend Dr. Samra in a heartbeat!

One visit: 9-​year-​old child with permanent tooth that felt like it was loose. Went to see Dr. Samra for the first and last time. I don’t know how he would have worked out at the end as a dentist, but it doesn’t matter. He and his staff would not allow me into the examination room with my little girl while she was being examined. They said that this is how they work with all kids. I don’t know how other parents can just allow their daughters to be examined by a medical professional in their absence, especially one who is unfamiliar to them. For us, such lack of understanding and common sense is deserving of a 1.
