Roxy is absolutely amazing! Before I met with her I didn’t really know what electrolysis was and now I’m just so happy that it exists. It feels like getting electric shocks to wherever you are getting hair removed except it doesn’t hurt, at least for me personally. Yes, it takes multiple treatments but it does give permanent results and you can see the progression after every treatment. Roxy will make you feel completely comfortable and she is so flexible when it comes to making an appointment. I would 100% recommend Roxy for anyone looking for permanent hair removal.

I have fair skin, dark hair, and a hormone imbalance — which translates into a lot of unwanted and extremely noticeable facial hair. I’ve tried bleaching, tweezing, waxing, and even laser hair removal. None of those hair removal methods are permanent. Electrolysis is.
If you’re like me, you have three big questions about electrolysis:
1) Is it painful?
There’s a little discomfort, but I wouldn’t call the procedure painful. There’s a small prick with the needle insertion and then a warm zap of electricity. That’s it.
2) How long does it take to achieve results?
Roxy has been treating my upper lip, chin, and neck since September. It took a few months to clear all of my hair, but now there’s only sparse growth from a few stubborn hairs between treatments. We started with weekly appointments, then switched to every 10 days, and now I go twice a month. Roxy estimated that it would take about a year to remove all of the hair and so far we’re right on track.
3) How much money are we talking?
Roxy’s prices are very reasonable. An hour of her time is comparable to what you would pay your hair stylist for a cut and color or your esthetician for a facial. The best value is to buy a treatment package, because you’ll get a discounted rate. I’ve been purchasing my sessions 10 hours at a time and will need around 30 hours to achieve the results I want.
Roxy is warm, knowledgeable, and she loves helping people get rid of unwanted hair. Her technique is gentle, skilled, and meticulous. If you’re considering electrolysis, Roxy is your gal.

Okay ladies and gents, let’s talk about unwanted hair! Mine happened to be on my chin and upper lip (why THANK YOU, swarthy Greek ancestors). As I approached 30, it got worse and more noticeable. Then after I had my first child, the hormonal changes made things about 100x worse.
Does this sound familiar? You spend an inordinate amount of time and energy fretting about unwanted hair. A few times a day, you check out your «hairy spots» with the pads of your fingers to make sure nothing new has appeared since the morning. You pluck, you shave, epilate and irritate the heck out of your facial skin to get rid of hair. You stash tweezers in every conceivable spot you might need them (your purse, your nightstand, the car) in case a new hair (or 12) crops up. You have other co-​existing skin issues as a result of the constant touching and trauma to your face.
I did all of these things, for waaaaay too long, until I met Roxy. I started weekly electrolysis treatment in July of 2015.
Yes, it’s pricey, and time-​consuming. But. It. Works. I’ve seen such incredible results in less than a year. It’s the best decision I’ve made (and the best money I’ve spent) in a loooong time.
Here are the things that I’ve learned:
1) Be hydrated (this helps with the treatment), lay off the caffeine beforehand.
2) Invest in some good aloe and good facial sunscreen
3) Be willing to carve out smaller chunks of time but go consistently, at least initially. Nowadays I can go about 10 days to 2 weeks between treatments.
4) Understand that it’s a process, not a quick fix. That’s because hair grows in a cycle. Over time, the hair gets thinner and grows back more slowly. Then, the root dies and the entire follicle gets removed. That’s what makes it permanent (as opposed to other hair removal methods).
5) Most of the «adult» acne that I had been suffering from was actually ingrown hair.
6) Put the damn tweezers down. The more you tweeze, the more damage you are causing to your hair follicles, which makes them harder to remove.
On a personal level, Roxy is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. She can work wonders with her passion, wit, persistence and that amazing little machine. Go see her.

This is a preliminary review because I have only had 3 treatments with Roxy so far, who by the way is a total doll. She’s pretty hip and is really responsive to texts if you have any questions about after care, and by responsive, I mean within minutes usually. Big plus, because everyone reacts differently to electrolysis, and it’s comforting that the person preforming your procedures actually cares about you and how you’re healing.
I would like to come back an update my review as I progress through my treatment, because who am I kidding? That’s what we’re alI here for right?
3 treatments: I was told that I damaged some of my roots due to plucking, so these initial treatments have helped open the roots up for easier clearance by the zap zap. I don’t know what that needle thing is called that jolts you, but trust me, it’s not as bad as the internet makes it seem. I actually have fallen asleep at least once. While I still have a many treatments to go, I have noticed that the hair is starting to grow back thinner and Roxy has even said she is noticing some baldness. FNo matter how slight, progress is progress!

Backstory: I started to get coarse hairs on my chin a few years ago and thought laser would permanently remove these embarrassing hairs. Please read the next part carefully– laser made them WORSE. Not only did I have chin hairs, but I started growing coarse neck hair as well. I was convinced that if I didn’t pluck every day and every night I would actually grow a beard. I started going to Roxy back in May to take care of ear hair from my ear lobe and just inside the ear canal. I wasn’t sure if the inner hair could be treated but Roxy assured me that it could be treated.
When I began my treatment, it took about an hour to treat both ears and a lot of hair on the inside and outside. I then returned about a month later for further treatment. Then about five weeks for my next treatment. Now, about four months later, my treatment visits are up to almost seven weeks and the treatment time has dropped to 30 minutes. The important thing is that most of the ear hair is completely gone. Roxy really takes great care over your treatment. She’s not rushing through your session and she makes sure that she treats the area accurately. I feel that I am on the backend of my treatments and I am confident that I am very close to eliminating external ear hair forever.
So to recap, the time between visits has increased but the treatment time has decreased. That’s because I am getting real results and I am very happy with the service. When you’re treating something like hair removal, you really need to learn the facts before you turn yourself over to treatment. Luckily, I had electrolysis work done on my unibrow years ago to excellent results (it never grew back even almost 20 years later) so I knew the treatment works but you have to find someone who clearly understands modern electrolysis techniques and Roxy really does.

I have been coming here for electrolysis for about 9 months. I tried waxing, laser hair removal, plucking, etc. Nothing lasted. Electrolysis has been a slow process but I have never seen results like it. It has totally been worth the investment and time. Roxy is wonderful! I recently (early 20’s) starting noticing coarse hairs around my chin/​jawline (I’m a blonde) that were growing in very dark and thick and thus looked like blackheads. Oftentimes the hair became ingrown and would cause acne.
After a friend told me electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal, and that laser wouldn’t work on my blonde peach fuzz, I did some research and found Roxy so conveniently near my office.
From day 1 Roxy has been willing to work around my crazy schedule (appointments at lunch, early morning Saturday’s and weekdays.) She is truly a magician; in about 10 hours (persistence is key!) I am 90% hair free and my skin has never been more soft. Roxy is gentle, yet meticulous and is dedicated to providing the best results at a really competitive price.
Edit: About 20 hours completed with Roxy and I have never been more happy or confident. My acne is non existent and I see Roxy for minor touch ups on my chin/​jawline. I have some small red marks (which used to be way worse when I picked and plucked!) but I use vitamin E oil to help. The best part is seeing the results are real and permanent. I can’t wait to start on other areas!

I just wanted to give a nice update. It has been 3 months and I have to say, my results have been amazing. I cannot tell you how nice it is to look in the mirror when I am driving and not be so critical and troubled, and having to be a slave to those hair creams anymore!

Just came in for electrolysis on my face for the first time. Saw Roxy she was fabulous I barely felt anything. I had my entire face done she spent a great amount of time just removing the course horrid hairs I have from years of waxing, threading, laser basically you name it I’ve tried it. My case is pretty intense I’ll be returning weekly until she tells me that the unsightly hairs on my face will be gone for good, that I’ve been battling for years. I’m super self conscious of all my facial hair and can’t wait to be able to for once in my life be confident and not constantly covering my face with my hair. I thought when I had all my laser hair removal sections that my problem was over but it did the complete opposite and made my face like that of a man with thicker courser hairs that came in areas of my face I never had before laser treatment.

So, here are the facts. I started out years ago with laser, and it absolutely damaged me. In fact, my facial hair quadrupled. It was really disappointing because I thought I would be an exception to the fact that everyone says «laser makes your hair grow more.» Of course, it didn’t matter if I went to best place and paid the biggest price; I was no exception. Anyway, I switched to electrolysis. I’m very happy I did. I’ve been doing it for almost three years now and have seen some skilled, and some not very skilled electrologists. I was very hesitant to come see Roxy, as it’s hard to find someone you trust with your face! However, it was a very pleasant experience. Her space is stunning, peaceful, clean, and she is extremely professional. I also enjoy the fact that she’s easy-​going and humble, which made me comfortable. Despite seeing many skilled electrologists in my past who told me the type of machine they use doesn’t make a difference, IT DOES. What they really mean when they say that is that at the end of the day, the hair will come out. This is true. However, technology is updated for a reason, and Roxy has the most up-​to-​date electrolysis machine. It’s the efficiency factor that makes the difference. If you want to do something, do it the right way. Her machine is the path to an efficient, pain-​free experience. I have tried the other machines; they’re quite painful and it takes forever to remove one hair! Take my word for it~ it’s difficult to find a good electrologist. Save yourself the time and risk and go see Roxy. You won’t be disappointed.

UPDATE!!! I’ve been seeing Roxy for about 5 months now. I have gone on several different treatments including laser but electrolysis has been the best! I usually go in weekly for touch ups and so far I have seen amazing results. What people have to understand is if they want to see great results they have to be consistent with their electrolysis appointments. My face use to be covered with hair. Especially around my chin and jawline area. I went through 6 treatments of laser and I saw no improvement. I was just left with some really bad ingrown hairs and scarring. Getting electrolysis by far has been the best decision. Roxy is professional, nice and sociable. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxing that sometimes I fall asleep while she is removing the hair. If you’re in need of permanent hair removal, then I would highly recommend Roxy! I am so thankful to have found her.

If you’re like me, you’ve tried everything possible for hair removal including laser. Nothing worked! I’ve heard of electrolysis 12 years ago but was always afraid that it would hurt worse than laser but today I took the plunge. IT DIDN’T HURT AT ALL! Roxy is amazing, super sweet and my two hours flew by too quick… I could have done 2 more! Her suite is located inside number 9 of Angel’s Beauty Supply and Salon Suites, is very clean and modern, and has such a great energy flow. I know that is because Roxy is such a happy, positive, professional Electrologist. She’s precise and gets each hair from the root. Today was my first session, but I loved it! Will update soon with results.

Roxy is amazing! Before I went in 2 different women told me the pain I would be going through. I braced myself for the worst and got none! The most discomfort I felt was like a tiny static zing at times. I had no signs afterwards except a few tiny bumps which went away after just a few hours and literally 3 microscopic pore size scabs. I recommend her wholeheartedly. She’s very skilled and super sweet. The place is very nice and she plays relaxing music. Loving the lack of hair under my brows!

So excited to write this review and shed some light for my blondes! So, I have some problem areas with hair, so I was looking into doin laser treatment! WELL, did you know laser will not detect blonde or gray hair! The only way for us blondes to do hair removal would to be with ELECTROLYSIS ! So I was referred to Roxy !!!
