Does have a family locker room with 2 restrooms, although both were extremely disgusting — hair all over the floor, used soap and wrappers, not enough trash cans.
The pool had varying temperatures which was nice but the slides looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years — black around the edges. Also the large slide was disappointingly slow, the inflatables in the lazy river were half inflated and the water mushroom feature wasn’t on. Be sure to wash towels and suits after because there is a lot of chlorine.

My family loves this facility on the days that the weather won’t let us play outside. That is because of the incredible indoor pool that they have! My daughter is their BIGGEST fan when it comes to the water slide. She will scurry up the ladder and down the two story twists of the water slide over and over again. Last time we were there I lost count of how much we went up and down — but I will never forget all the fun we had and her laughter! We also love the lazy river. Normally they have a great wading pool for the little kids, but that is closed for construction right now. I hope they open it again in time for winter!

Sadly this used to be an amazing place to work out. It’s convenient and the equipment is really amazing and well maintained. However, the management changed and now it is totally «romper room» this is a place where kids rule, period. The athletes and competent instructors have been forced out and now giant plasma displays and advertising posters wallpaper the place. It feels like a scene from the movie «Idiocracy», with the only maxim being the «almighty dollar». The focus is on making people feel good a-​la-​Chucky Cheese, not healthy and mentored. I would not be surprised to see a slushee machine and hotdogs vendors here soon. So unfortunate!

I live east of Loveland and work in Louisville, so in the past few years I’ve worked out at every Rec center from Greeley to Boulder.
BLB is the best value. There are nicer rec centers (Louisville or Loveland, for example), but they charge more (in the case of Louisville — way more).
Lafayette does a nice job with an older facility. The equipment is always well maintained, up-​to-​date and everything is clean (which is more than some centers can say).

The Bob Burger Rec Center in Lafayette is fantastic! The workout facilities are great, and they offer a variety of good classes. They re-​vamp every year and upgrade some equipment annually, which keeps things fresh.
The youth sports program is the best, with tons of sports for the kiddos to try out every season — soccer, basketball, baseball, flag football, etc. The youth sports philosophy for the younger kids (under 10) is to teach teamwork, skills, and have fun, while keeping score/​competition is secondary.

For the last 23 years, i have not have to pay for a gym membership. 12 of those years, I was an indentured servant to 24 Hour Fitness. I can write this because they no longer have a hold on me. As an employee that is. What’s a girl to do when she finds herself having to, gasp, workout like a normal person? I used to teach 13+ classes a week– that was my workout routine. Now, I drag my ass out of bed at 4:30 every morning and hit it like the normal people do, and… thanks to Bob’s, my «normal «routine consists of riding the 1 out of 4 state of the art Spinning bikes available to every member, on top of smooth cable machines and an abundance of free-​weights., resistance balls, bands, and Bosu balls. Everything this FORMER instructor/​personal trainer could want in a gym. On top of that, you are entering a yummy, happy, «so happy to see you» type of gig! I truly look foward to waking up and coming to Bob’s, even at 4:30 in the morning. Love, love, love it!

I have been going to the rec center since I moved to Lafayette, they are constantly getting new, state of the art, equipment, have friendly staff, have good classes, raquetball, swimming. My only complaint is that I would love to swim in a bigger pool.
