A realtors responsibility is to be honest at the beginning for both parties. I find it interesting he states the Howeowner Assoc was complex yet, he never would respond to my realtors calls inquiring about it. When we met with him, he seemed bothered to be there on his Saturday morning at which time he told us the HOA did not exist. Naturally, he states this after I paid for several inspections putting me out $ 1000 that he can use.

Kurt and his team made purchasing our house in Lafayette as easy as this process can get. They paid attention to what was important to us and what we were looking for and were very flexible to work on our timeline. The first thing I would say about Kurt Piper and his group is that they are so ethical. They will not do anything shady or shifty. They always have your best interest in mind and it is evident in everything that they do. They are attentive, responsive, quickly understand your likes and dislikes when it comes to neighborhoods, houses, pricing etc. They are so wonderful to work with, all such kind and lovely people. Never did my husband or I feel taken advantage of, neglected or like we were being sold a gimmick like some other realtors we had met with. Overall the entire experience from the first moment we met Kurt until we closed on our house and both Kurt and Scott Sans came by to congratulate us and take photos with the SOLD sign (something I really wanted to do) was a truly positive one! We hold Kurt and his entire group in very high esteem and respect their work ethic and their cunning ability to get done what needs to get done for their client!

I would highly recommend Kurt Piper & his team. My husband and I are super busy, full-time working parents and wanted to find a trustworthy, knowledgeable (and efficient!) realtor we could trust to help us buy our first home in California. New to the area, Kurt got us quickly acclimated to the California market (VERY different than Chicago), gave us tours of Lamorinda neighborhoods, and worked with us through thick and thin to find our dream home. As with any major purchase, it was a long process and there were bumps in the road. But through it all, Kurt’s candor, real estate savvy, and sense of humor kept us focused. Most importantly of all, Kurt spent a lot of time getting to know us– not just as clients, but as people. He truly understood what was important to us, and how that translated into the perfect home, within our budget.

Kurt Piper and his associates are experienced and honest realtors. I was the seller of the property that Sylvia and Jim are referring to. While I empathize with their feelings of frustration and disappointment, this was a very unusual and complicated real estate situation. Kurt Piper and Amy Price are first rate Realtors. They get at least 4.5 stars in my book. They are professional, thorough, helpful, friendly, realistic and competent.
Residential Real Estate is far too emotional: for both Buyers and Sellers. Unfortunately, the experience, knowledge and skill level of the average realtor isn’t high, which leads to a lot of wasted time and heartbreak.
Kurt and Amy worked with us on a messy transaction with difficult personalities and their skills and care were critical to the completion of our transaction.
I recommend Kurt and his associates without reservation. If your deal can be successful, Kurt and his group can be instrumental to making it all come together and close. For the $ 800K-$ 1.4M market in Lamorinda, you will find no-one with more knowledge and ability than Kurt Piper and his Associates.
