Sweetwater Hand Car Wash

Use to be a great car wash. Now, not so much. It’s the little things. Exterior wise they do a great job. Its the interior part I have a problem with. I have winter tec mats in my MB wagon. They never take the mats out and vacuum the floor carpet. I even tipped the vacuum guy and extra $ 5 bucks… the guy stiffed me!

Best wash I’ve gotten in California. Service was fast and they did a thorough job. Thanks guys!

This place is the worst. Very poor customer service. Employees are rude. Service was well below standard.

Sweetwater is a great place to get your car washed. The service is always quick and efficient, I’ve been getting my car washed here for years. The waiting area is a nice, comfortable place to return a few emails or read the paper while your car gets washed.

I have been getting my car washed for a couple of years here and service here is always over the top and my car always looks show room new. Appreciate the great service Artemio and team.

In South Laguna with a dirty car decided to stop in and see if SweetWater is still as good as it once was. Happy to provide a good report. Prices were not bad for a the location. Did a nice job getting my car clean and a coat of wax applied. Completed quicker than expected. Gave the guy a tip and drove away to enjoy the remainder of our weekend in a clean car.

I am very pleased to say the least of Sweet Water car wash! This past Monday I rolled in, for a super wash! The shop was very busy and that’s nice to see in our town.
Anyhow, my truck had a rotten rear floor mat that disintegrated after another auto wash placed a scent stick under the mat. I didn’t find out about this until I discovered it two months later, when the rotting mat soaked and attached its self to the permenent carpet of the floor.
I usually leave my vehicle for about an hour and walk around the shops down the street.
Well low and behold I came back, picked up my truck. Very pleased as usual! Left a tip .
Usually when I get home I put my vehicle in order for the next day. I adjusted the mats to notice to my pleasurable surprise the guys took it upon themselves to clean to goo from my rear floor!!! I never asked! They did it and they were swamped ! I called the owner Scott immediantly to let him know how tickled I am with this type of service!
To the people at Sweet Water! thank you and keep up the GREAT work!

Love this place, I’ve had a great experience. I’ve gotten my car washed here about 5 times now and I love it, my foot pedal is squeaky clean every single time I drive out. I’ve gone to a couple other car washes and end up disappointed because I always find something that isn’t clean and end up thinking I wasted my money. This place always surpasses my expectations and I’m very happy with their service!

NOT Happy with this place! The customer service is horrible. They can do a better job but seem to be lazy and not happy where they work. Never coming back to this place.

I took my Truck to have the interior detailed and shampoo the upholstery on July 5^th. I paid $ 100 plus a $ 20 tip. The next morning when I got into my truck I noticed that the seats were soaking wet and the car smelled like mildew. I called Sweetwater and spoke to the owner/​manager? Scott and he told me to bring the truck back and they would dry it. I brought my truck in at 2:30 PM and 10 minutes after I drop the truck off the owner called me to tell me that they have lost my keys. I returned 10 minutes later and gave them my spare key. I was told the truck would not be ready until 5:30 PM and since my fiancé had to leave by 5 PM I couldn’t drive it home so I went at 5:30 PM to pick up the spare key and leave it overnight. I pick the truck up the next morning, Tuesday the 7^th and the upholstery was still soaking wet. When I contacted the Toyota dealership they said it was going to cost $ 200-​$ 300 to replace the key. The owner refused to pay that much and insisted that we wait till next week to copy the key. He chuckled in the phone when I told him that this was unacceptable and had been a huge inconvenience for me and I would like a refund and and a new key right away! He also said «I don’t know why your so upset, you have a spare key» After contacting the better business bureau finally agreed to pay for the key on July 9^th. What a nightmare and such a hassle.

I can honestly say I feel that this place never does a good job on my car. I been here multiple times and I’m always having to correct their work and have them touch up here and there where they miss. Unless make a drastic change I’m never coming back.

Love this car wash! This is my first review ever on Unilocal… I usually just use Unilocal to read other peoples reviews… lol. This place is great, and they work with you on prices! Highly recommend! Very friendly and do an amazing job.

I come here regularly just out of convenience. But the other day I saw something that completely ruined it for me forever. While my car was being washed I watched some guys detailing a car inside of the garage area. One was sitting inside cleaning and took a hairbrush out of the armrest storage, flipped down the vanity mirror and proceeded to joke with his buddy and brush his dirty beard with the car owner’s hairbrush for several minutes. That is beyond unprofessional and revolting.
I told the manager but he obviously didn’t seem to care at all. You should not have to worry about people touching all of your personal items when you leave you car to get an overpriced detail service.

Nothing sweet about it. I have given this place three chances, and every time they did a very poor job washing, vacuuming, and drying the car. The third and final time, I left not noticing the wet shoe prints and dirt on the drivers side carpet; never thought I would pay someone to dirty-​up my car. Hey, at least they are consistent at being bad. Absolute waste of money. Never again.

What a joke. A waste of money. 20 bucks for the worst customer service and wash ever. And I’m 50. I’ve had my cars washed plenty of places. There was soap on the door still, did not get water wiped down and left water spots and did not vacuum the trunk at all. Lame

I had sap on my car. I asked which wash I needed to have it removed. My big thing was just that I wanted the sap removed and they acknowledged that. They said the ~$ 33 super wash. It would also include cleaning the mats, conditioning the interior, special wax on the outside, along with the normal wash, vacuuming, and wiping down.
When my car was ready I immediately noticed the sap globs were all still there. Somewhat annoyed but then got properly upset when I opened the car to find that it had merely been vacuumed and dusted. They’d only done the bare minimum basic wash and vacuum. I let the person at the desk know and his response was «yes we did do what you ordered» to which I was like (thinking «i can’t believe he just so blatantly lied) «The car is right there. It’s not really a debate, it’s easy to see what was and wasnt done.» So he walked over, grabbing a dirty, wet wash rag off the ground along the way. He then changed his tune to «well, it didnt need the super wash.» Dumbfounded. «So why did you charge me for that??» and «What about the sap???» He then opened my car and started wiping the nasty rag around. DUDE! GROSS! He was going back and forth between saying theyd done the wash they were supposed and «we didnt do the wash because it didnt need it.» He kept rummaging in my car for some reason and I finally had to lock it and be firm that I didnt want him in there. He wasn’t cleaning anything it was like he was pointing out to me that my own car was nice enough as is. Uh, thanks for the weak sales pitch?
So he finally half relented and gave me $ 10. I don’t know why that amount. I don’t care. I just wanted to leave the dump. I hadnt asked for any refund but realized I shouldve pushed for a full refund or at the least a refund down to the basic wash amount (meaning a roughly ~$ 20 refund).
If you go ignore their lies and only get the most basic wash. It’s all theyre going to do anyway. Better yet — don’t go there.

Love this little local car wash! It’s nostalgic affordable and convenient. I feel right at home. The do a good job and love the water fountain

They do a great job on the exterior. Interior needs a little extra work. I always ask for an extra vacuum just so they are thorough.
Always fun to watch the koi fish while you wait.

Nasty. Bad wash. Front desk is rude and arrogant.
I went in before closing. The manager finished my car. Did a lousey job. I called the owner. He told me to come back for a free wash. I did. The manager told me never to come back again… NASTY. Rude… who needs this when paying for a service!!! Unacceptable. So much for supporting a local business. Keep away unless you, the customer, plans not ever right and the manager deems himself king… just BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and sad this is a local business.

Paid $ 31 for the managers car wash with «extra detail» there were many guys working on it and it still took an hour.
They really did do a great job! Looks like I just got a detail!
So good I tipped $ 10 on a $ 30 wash.
My DEFINITE go to spot for a good wash!
