I am basing my review on reading the owner’s own response to a complaint that he backed out of a plan to floor their home at the last minute. His response: «Just like any customer is qualifying me, I am qualifying them,» is so obstinate, I can barely stand it. The whole tone of his message blows my mind, considering the intensely competitive nature of his industry. Unreal. SO glad I got this window into what it might very well be like to work with him, straight from the asses’ mouth. Pass.

I selected California Flooring Service based on the Unilocal reviews and competitive quote. The crew showed up promptly and worked diligently every day. The project was completed in the time promised, even though I threw in a few spur of the moment jobs, such as installing new toilets, a new vanity, and ventilation fan. Everyone was always polite and professional and made sure I was satisfied with their work. Great company, great people, I will definitely use them again when the need arises. I highly recommend this company!

Our toilet had a slow leak at the seal which subsequently damaged the laminate wood flooring. A quick call to Jason at California Flooring Services solved the problem. I had the toilet out to assist with the room prep. Once his one-​man talented installer arrived, it didn’t take more than 10 minutes to have the old floor demo’d and removed. Within 30 minutes he was cutting and fitting tile. After approximately 3 hours the bathroom was tiled with grout applied and it looks absolutely stunning. Thank you so much to Jason and his awesome team for helping solve our floor problem! We will no doubt continue to rely on California Flooring Services for future flooring and interior renovation needs.

Amazing from customer service to the baseboards. Jason suggested a wood that highlighted the red tones in my mahogany furniture. His crew were highly skilled craftsmen, having worked with Jason for several years. The men paid attention to details, cleaned the areas, and were courteous. Jason may be more expensive than «Home Improvement» stores, but you gain quality and assurance that Jason will personally attend to your concerns and your floors.

We used California Flooring Service to Install all new floors (wood, carpet, and tile) in our new home in San Clemente and couldn’t be happier with their level of service, efficiency and craftsmanship. California Flooring put in 6,000 square feet of flooring in my new home and I am extremely happy with the results. Jason and his Team are reliable and their experience shows in their work which is exceptional. I met with several flooring service companies before meeting with Jason, and now that the project is complete I am 100% confident I picked the best man for the job. I would highly recommend Jason and his team as they are easy to work with, reasonable, provide excellent customer service… and most importantly have excellent workmanship.

I needed to find a person who takes pride in the work of himself and his crew. After doing some checking and meeting with Jason, I was satisfied enough to have him install hardwood floors in my home. I appreciate that he met me when we said we would meet, the crew arrived on time and finished early. They were helpful and professional. The floor is beautiful and my dogs are learning how to deal with it instead of carpet!

We were very impressed with the price and service provided. Jason came out and gave us a fair price quote well below lowes and Home Depot. The installers came on a Saturday and completed the install professionally and cleaned up after the job. Jason came and inspected the work after the project. It was a great experience.

Jason gave me a written proposal for a flooring project, which I accepted in November, and we scheduled a date about 8 weeks later to begin. I had surgery planned for January 6 and so wanted the work to be done while I would be home recuperating. On January 5 — the day before my surgery and one week before the floor was supposed to be done — Jason sends me an email: «After further review and consideration I will have to respectfully decline your project. I feel we may not be the best contractor for your project at this time.»
I give them 1 star for unreliability, the stress and delay their last-​minute cancellation caused me, and the unpaid time I had to take off work since it wasn’t done while I was home on sickleave. I give them 5 stars for the courtesy to suggest I contact Royal Flooring in Mission Viejo for the project instead, who did a great job for lower cost. So, their average = 3 stars.

We found California Flooring Service when we started looking for a flooring company and chose Jason’s company based on all the online positive reviews. We started off with wood floors installation only, then decided to add on a bunch of other work since we saw what a GREAT job his crew did on our floors. We then added on stairway carpeting, powder room accent wall tiling, kitchen and bath counter tops replacement in our home, We are EXTREMELY HAPPY with all of Jason’s crew. They did outstanding work, and Jason has set the bar very high for another company to match his professionalism! His communications with us during our remodel was EXCELLENT! Jason made some recommendations here and there and all of it came out better than we could have done it ourselves. Now that all the work is completed, we can honestly say that CA. Jason Ramsey and his crew are great! They did an excellent job on our wood tile flooring and baseboards! They showed up on time everyday and cleaned up before they left each day. I would highly recommend them and we will be using them for any of our future flooring needs!

With Jason and California flooring is more than good service, it is an incredible experience. I don’t buy on price alone but it is unlikely you will beat Jason’s prices and no haggling is required. At every step of the process Jason under-​promised and over-​delivered. He said the carpet should be in within 7 days of ordering and three days later he called to say it was in and two days later it was installed. The installers showed up ten minutes early of the scheduled time and finished two hours early of their projected time. All the furniture was put back exactly in the right places and carpet vacuumed to perfection. Being in a service industry I have high expectations and Jason far exceeded them. California Flooring Service-​you rock!

Years ago we used California Flooring to install our granite countertops. It was such a great experience, we decided to use them again when we recently carpeted. Once again, their service was phenomenal. Jason always offers top-​notch service. He under promises and over delivers at every step of the way. We were thrilled with the finished product. I chose California Flooring Service because all of my communications with Jason, by phone, email, and in-​person, were the most satisfying and made me feel very confident about working with him. I got all my questions answered in full. No pressure or attitude. Just clarity and honesty.
Fortunately, my confidence was well placed. Jason and his crew did a fantastic job. I was totally satisfied with the flooring material, the work, the price, and the service. Jason stayed on top of the job throughout the process. He is easy to contact and responds quickly. He is honest, strait forward, and earned my trust. Integrity all the way.
Now that my beautiful new hardwood floors are installed I plan to call Jason back to do some tile and counter work in my kitchen and bath and put in a new shower for me.

We bought a townhouse that needed EVERTYTHING. Floors; kitchen; paint; bathrooms; tiling; granite. Jason and his crew worked wonders. All was done in less than a month and our townhouse looks fabulous. We get so many compliments on our place.

Built a loft and wanted to put in hardwood flooring. The project started with hardwood floor for my loft/​hallway. I was so impressed with the quality of work that I included the staircase. Then had them strip/​refinish the downstairs hardwood so it would match. It is absolutely beautiful! I look forward to the next project so I can work with them again! :)
