Maui on the Fly

I can’t recommend this service enough. We looked at a few baby rental places but ended up going with MOTF because they were easy to reach and they were able to accommodate us last-​minute. We rented a Rock ‘n’ Play and a beach tent for a week, and it only cost $ 55, including (free) delivery and pickup.
They’re also super friendly and easy to work with. If you’re taking a family to Maui, don’t think twice about using this service!

This was our second time using this great service and we neglected to review them last time.
We can’t recommend them enough. We always rent a jogging stroller for our Hawaii beach trips & this business has been a find for us.
The pricing is reasonable, the service & communication great and the convenience of free hotel drop-​off & pick-​up is perfect for travelers like us who don’t like to lug our toddler’s gear across country.

This place was Godsend after having a horrible experience with Hertz rental car, who gave us flimsy and expired car seats for my 6 month old and 3 year old. Maui on the Fly supplied us with better quality, up to date equipment. An establishment like this could easily gouge the tourists but their prices are super reasonable. They were very flexible, easy to reach by phone even offered to pick up the car seat from our rental condo if needs be. Only regret is that I wish I left the pack’n play at home and rented one from this place.

We loved Maui on the Fly — their customer service and products were on point! This was our first time traveling with out 8 month old, and I heard horror stories on having to lug around so much stuff, loosing items… Communication with Nicki and Brandie was easy and friendly from the first email.
We went with the Honi and the Lio Kai bundle, along with some indoor toys (they were perfect items for our 8 month old). The items were waiting for us at our condo upon our arrival — what a treat!
We appreciated that they traded a few items for other items in our bundles. Each time we saw other family’s at the beach they loved the beach wagon that made everything so easy to haul around.
Going through Maui on the Fly made our trip more pleasurable. We highly recommend Maui on the Fly, they are top notch!

Great service. the equipment was waiting there at the hotel When I arrived. Only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating was the cooler did not have the plug on it so it leaked all the time. Also there was only one stake for the beach cabana but that’s really not a big deal since the winds were not very strong and when you put your things in the cabana it wasn’t going anywhere. Finally I was charged a $ 10 delivery fee which didn’t really bug me that much until my wife said that it was suppose to be free delivery. All that being said I will use this service again.

What a great company! It was our first time traveling with our 8 week old and one of my friends told me about renting baby equipment rather than lugging it through the airport. Being a first time mom, I had no idea this type of service. The concierge for our trip recommended Maui on the fly. Their customer service was top notch! We arrived to Maui late and the pack n play was already set up ready for use. The equipment was clean and in great condition! I will definitely use them again and refer my friends as well.

After not receiving the crib and high chair we had rented with another company, I called Maui on the Fly in a panic 10 minutes before their closing time. Brandie is a lifesaver! She said she’d have the crib and high chair over to the condo we were staying at within the hour. She personally delivered the items to us (which were in wonderful condition and very clean).
I would highly recommend Maui on the Fly. Don’t even waste your time calling anyone else!

Super easy to book. Great communication. Loved all the products worked out perfectly for us. We upgraded to a standard crib with a high chair toys and stroller. Our little one loved the toys. Everything was in great condition. I was so happy we decided to rent through this company.

Maui on the fly was awesome! I am so glad we chose this company over the competition. Everything we rented was waiting for us at our hotel. All the items were in excellent condition. They came and picked up everything right on time before we left for the airport! We will definitely use them again!

Definitely recommend using Maui On The Fly! We just got back home from our recent trip to Maui and it was our first time traveling with our 8 month old baby boy. We used MOTF for our baby gear rentals and it was a true life saver! We rented an executive crib which came with a crib mattress and two sheets, a jumperoo, a high chair, diaper pail, and night light. The products were quality stuff. Jumperoo was Baby Einstein brand and our little guy loved it! The Highchair was Joovy brand (Joovy Nook I think it’s called) and was really nice! The diaper pail was a Diaper Genie and worked wonderfully. (Actually kind of like it more than our Diaper Dekor at home. There was zero stink in the baby’s room.) It also came with an extra set of bags, which we definitely used!
I was surprised at how nice the items were. I mean you imagine baby gear being rented out all the time could get pretty gnarly, but all the items we received were in great shape!
The customer service was awesome as well. In the middle of our trip I realized I may need more items. I called the phone number on our receipt and spoke with Brandie (sp?) one of the owners. She was very accommodating and was even going to open her shop in order to get me the items we needed! By a lucky coincidence it turned out we found suitable items at the house we were staying in and didn’t end up needing more items from MOTF, but I was so impressed with how willing they were to get us the needed items right away.
On our final day in Maui we had the airport shuttle picking us up at 8:30 am, and so I needed our baby gear items picked up before we left. Brandie answered my email by saying they’d send the pick up driver first thing in the morning. Perfect timing! The driver picked up our baby gear about 10 min before our airport shuttle!
Awesome service! We will definitely use Maui On The Fly again!

Brandi was a lifesaver on our trip to maui when we needed a carseat!!! I originally rented a carseat from the car rental company and it suuucccckkkked… it was close to expiration and you couldnt cinch it down so it moved around in the car! I did NOT feel safe with my daughter in that driving around! The next day mybwife found Maui on the Fly and we immediately called Brandi and booked a convertable car seat.
Brandi catered to our schedule and metbus at hwr storefront and rented the carseat to us right away!
She even allowed for a scheduled pickup of the carseat for us at the airport (for a fee, but it was WORTH it and still cheaper than the car rental place!!!) on our departure day!
She emailed me and kept in communication with us as my schedule was a bit screwey, but worked with us to rent and return the car seat!
The car seat was clean and worked! In fact everything in her store looked clean and well maintained! i would definately go to her again!

Clean and On Time!
We rented a high chair, walker, and standard crib. Everything was very clean and in great condition, even more clean than my personal items I keep at my home!
We called the afternoon before we arrived and everything was booked very easily. Once we spoke with them on the phone, I filled out the online form with what we would like to rent, and wa-​la… when we arrived at the condo the next afternoon, every item was already in our room waiting for us. just like magic! We told our condo association that Maui on the Fly would be arriving in the morning to drop off the items, that way they could get a key to drop the items off in the room.
They were extremely friendly and very easy to work with. We LOVED that everything was delivered on time. it was SUPER easy. I also needed to extend the rental for one additional day, so I emailed Maui on the Fly, and they quickly emailed and called me back to confirm that it was ok.
I did call another rental company first, but I used Maui on the Fly because the cost was cheaper and I liked the welcoming service I received on my initial phone call.

Would highly recommend. The pack’n’play and beach umbrella were in perfect condition and were there waiting for us at our condo when we arrived. We will be back and will use Maui on the Fly again!

Delivered the BOB stroller right to the Whaler and then picked it up for me as well. Do yourself a favor and make your vacation simple! I’ve found its best to not get the cheapest or best deal on everything… Just do what gives you the least amount of headache. Great rental company and easy transaction. Baby had a great first vacation!

Maui on the fly rentals was so worth it!!! Traveling with babies is already stressful, why add more stress by lugging all our baby essentials through the airport. Nikki and everyone that works with her are amazing and so accommodating. I would hands down use them again, they are awesome! Thank you thank you Maui on the fly for making our vacation pleasant and relaxing:)

Easy to book. Items were in great condition. Awesome customer service. Easy to reach when we had to delay our trip due to a sick baby. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
We ordered 2 bundles with cribs, highchair/​booster seat, toys and added sand toys. All were very clean.
The «standard» crib was smaller than I expected, but it worked and my 2yo fit well in it. My sister-​in-​law had a tricky time putting her son in/​taking him out of the highchair, but he also has chunky thighs.

I rented an activity mat, swing, bath tub, co-​sleeper, and bumbo.
My reason for 4 stars:
1. The activity mat they provided was cheap (not similar at all to the one featured on their site). My guy bopped himself in the face multiple times with the foam bar because of the Velcro footings. I did email them and they planned on replacing similar models to upgrades mats. It did its purpose and we ended up safety pinning it to its base (probably not a parental win)
2. The cosleeper was not put together properly. Since I was not familiar with the model I emailed them the 2^nd day we were there and they raced out and replaced it with a model I was more comfortable with. This was a great relief and showed excellent customer service
3. I would make sure you let them know the age and weight of the child when reserving items. We just squeezed into the bathtub and the swing struggled with my 17lb guy. I am sure they would have directed me to an upgraded swing and bath.
The best thing about them is the price, ease of rental, customer experience and helpfulness with adapting little ones to their home for a bit. I also loved the fact they take items like extra diapers, formula, baby food etc and donate to a woman’s shelter. I would use them again!

This was year #2 using Maui on the Fly Baby & Beach Gear Rentals​and they never disappoint. Next year can’t come soon enough! Thank you

We traveled with our 11 months old for the first time to Maui and booked a crib, booster seat, beach tent, and hiking backpack from Maui on the Fly. Booking was super easy with a simple form online, which was acknowledged right away. A quick phone call to give my payment information and Nicki and Brandie got it all set up for us. Our stuff got delivered to our condo and pick up was also hassle-​free.
All the equipment was super clean and in great condition. The hiking backpack was awesome to have for the few hikes we took on the road to Hana. The mattress that came with the standard crib was a bit on the flimsy side, next time we would pay a little extra for the deluxe crib.
We would use them again in a heartbeat when we travel to Maui. In fact, we would rent even more stuff like stroller and carseat! We learned this time around that you really don’t need to bring all the gear from home and risk damaging them.

Used Maui on the Fly recently when we came to Maui. Nicki and Brandie were super easy to set things up with and when I changed my order a half dozen times ordering more things they just kept up with it. I got everything I asked for and at a great price! Things were already in our condo at Honua Kai when we arrived and they came to pick up the things right before we left the unit.
I ended up renting a crib, high chair, toys, books, sleep noise machine, baby beach tent, standing activity center (I have a 10 month old son) and a baby gate. I def ordered more than I needed, I never ended up using the tent (my baby loathed the ocean and beach with a passion) or high chair but I’m still glad I had them in case I had used them. The toys they brought out were EXCELLENT, I was happy they weren’t things I had brought with me or had at home already. I was a little disappointed by the books because in the picture of them on the website they show a cloth book so I wrongly assumed they send all cloth books. They did send one cloth book but the other were standard board books… I could have easily brought those myself. Just thought I’d mention that for other moms of babies deciding if they want to get books or not.
Also, one other thing worth mentioning is the crib mattress they send is not really baby safe if you have really little ones with no neck support. My guy is a monster who is already walking so I didn’t worry if the mattress was too soft and a breathing hazard for him because I know he can roll just fine but I was thinking if I had a really little one, the mattress they sent would have had me freaking out. Perhaps they send really firm mattresses to people with smaller babies? I hope so. If you are ordering a crib it’s something I’d confirm with them.
All in all I would totally use this company again! They have great prices and a good selection and they are A+ with service!
