I have lived in Lahaina for 35 years and Village Galleries has always been my first stop for any type of gift giving. Not only does owner Lynn Shue carry amazing art by the best local artists but there are great finds in every price point. From original art to framed prints, artisan jewelry, hand thrown pottery, blown glass, hand carved koa and mango wood bowls. Literally something for everyone. Prices are fair and not inflated like some of the other galleries on Front street. Highly recommend !

An unexpected find while walking around. Janice, the art consultant, was full of information about the art and the artists. The gallery is larger than it looks with hidden nooks of art that draw you in as you browse through. There is a variety of 2D and 3D fine art and jewelry. Take the time to appreciate the skill and delightful tropical subjects of the art here. It was especially wonderful to talk with Janice about the amazing artistry of master carver Keola Sequeira. The building w was once a school and was converted in the mid to late 60s as a gallery. This is a must stop place for original art that honors the native culture. Ladies… hold your wallets because the jewelry will call to you like an enchanting sirens’ song. :-)

Village Galleries on Dickinson Street in Lahaina is a gem. Owner Lynn Shue has built a great reparation amongst both clients and artists. She represents a large array of local Maui artists and has been doing so for 43 years. This gallery should be on the top of the list of «must visit first while in Lahaina».

This gallery has 3 locations in Lahaina, all within a couple blocks of each other. If you’re going to do Friday Night Art Night, come here for sure. Many of the galleries have generic or mass produced art; gyclee’s are really pushed around here.(hint; its still a «print», don’t spend more than $ 300 for it!) Village Gallery has a more homey feel, most of the art is original and not«typical». Where most galleries have the typical«beach landscape», here they carry different perspectives and some fresh pieces. They have a bit of jewelry as well, and some smaller, more affordable pieces. Some ceramics too. The sales staff are always extremely friendly as well, we will always buy some art here!
