I am not very familiar with all the quick-service options available at Animal Kingdom, but this was an OK spot to hit up if you are close by and very hungry. The chicken sandwich was kind of bland, but the teriyaki beef bowl and the pork egg roll are solid choices. Just be careful because there is a Yak and Yeti table service restaurant, and this review is for the quick-service option at lunch. There is also plenty of seating close by to pull up a chair and enjoy your meal.

I made the awful mistake of ordering the Asian Chicken sandwich first. I expected grilled chicken but got deli sliced chicken with soggy bread and lettuce. Just don’t order it. After one bite of that I immediately informed the server that I didn’t like it and was able to replace for an alternate entrée of my choice no problem. The honey chicken was yummy!!! Between the food save and the great customer service, it was well worth it!

Quick service dining that offers an array of Asian cuisine: Chinese, Indian, East-Asian influence(Korean/Japanese/Thai), etc. It’s a cheap and decent option for those finishing Expedition Everest or the Rapids ride(but don’t go before those or you may Yak!) I tried the sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork and also the yellow curry. The quality is slightly above frozen dinners but below panda express. The rice was pretty good — the rest of the meats and food were average but that’s what you can expect at a quick service. Lots of covered seating around the entire area and not a bad option if you’re hungry around the big ticket rides.

I was disappointed that they no longer serve Lo Mein at the fast food area of this restaurant. We almost walked away in search of another lunch option, but then we noticed Chicken Fried Rice on the«sides menu». It was a bit on the salty side… and could have had more chicken and veggies in it. Still, at $ 3.99 for a good sized container, it was a filling and fairly tasty lunch option.

We had a choice between the Yak and Yeti restaurant and the local foods café and opted for the café. It was quick and perfect for on the go! I ordered the beef teriyaki. I enjoyed it a lot! It Came with vegetables: mushrooms and snapeas to name a couple. Those are my favorites! Portions were small. Maybe this place is meant for people who are watching their figure? MOREMEAT, RICEANDVEGGIESPLEASE!!! The price is a bit much but what do you expect from theme park prices?

This is a quick service style food booth, just outside of the actual restaurant. It is not a part of the Yak and Yeti sit down, but located next door. This serves a nice selection of Asian inspired goodies such as noodle dishes, chicken and veggies in a nice teriyaki sauce, egg rolls etc. They also serve a basket of fries, which seemed out of place but was ordered frequently during our meal by those eating around us. You order at a cashier, grab your food from the window then find a table just around the corner. The tables are outside but most are covered so it is still a great option if there is a rain shower or if you’re looking for shade on a hot day. Food was pretty tasty for theme park fast food fare, and I would say comparable to Panda Express if you have one of those near you, then its of the same quality in my opinion.

Yak & Meh Overall: 2.25 Stars There is nothing impressive about this quick dine and dash(not right term but meh) fast foodish eatery at Animal Kingdom. Centered around Asian cuisine you are offered dishes gears to the tourist in you. These include egg rolls, lo mein, fried rice and French fries. The Asian Chicken Sandwich is bland and needs a lot of mayonnaise to give it any bit of taste. At least the sodas are gigantic. It is one of the cheaper options and close to many major attractions including, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids and Maharajah Jungle Trek.

IFYOUAREATANIMALKINGDOMANDLOVEVEGGIES… then you will probably like this place. I personally loved it, and Bob said«it’s ok, but there isn’t enough.» So be aware that compared to your average burger and fried stuff counter service place? Portions are small — hence you need to order sides. Sides available are fries or chicken fried rice and egg rolls. Fries and fried rice are only 3.99, Egg rolls are 3 bucks and change for one, 5.99 for two. They are good sized egg rolls. HOWEVER…you get way more vegetables in an entrée than at a typical counter service place. We had never been here, so we ended up ordering 2 beef teriyaki bowls(for us) and 2 Korean BBQ bowls(for the kids — since they like my Korean BBQ/Bulgoki). Kids ended up liking the beef in the teriyaki bowl, but not the chicken(it wasn’t like my MY Bulgoki chicken, so that’s kind of a compliment?) It tasted like a «not too horribly sweet» version of a sweet and sour chicken, with lots of crisp tender peppers, onions, snow peas, and thinly sliced carrots, and pineapple. The beef teriyaki bowl had the same — just no pineapple. Naturally, the kids rejected all the vegetables, which was fine — I figured I would eat them, and give them my chunks o’ protein. Bob anticipated that this might happen, too and figured there might be more veggies than protein(which rarely happens at Disney, but did THIS time!) so we bought two orders of fries too. So I ended up donating all of my beef from my meal to the kids, and Bob did the same. He got the chicken and some of the kids vegetables and one of the egg rolls, I got the lions share of the kids vegetables, MY vegetables, an egg roll, and my rice plus some leftover rice. The kids ate the beef, and most of their rice, and a bunch of fries. My youngest had one of the Frozen Lemonade cups. She has a big healthy appetite, and could only finish half of it. This is a good dessert, but there is enough in one of these to satisfy two school age kids. Heck, probably enough for two adults. All in all, it worked out, and probably the healthiest option available to me in pretty much any of the quick service places. Disney has good food, but it’s tough to get enough vegetables at a quick service place. We all got out of there full. They also have honey chicken, which I have been told is super mild, and an Asian chicken sandwich. We didn’t try them. I saw someone else get the honey chicken and the chicken fried rice — both looked good. However, I think we will probably end up at Restarauntosaurous next time. Bigger portions, so you don’t have to order sides to bulk it out. Restarauntosaurous has a veggie burger now, so that’s fine. For most families with kids who are too old for the kid menu(they have cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and Uncrustables) and don’t LOVE vegetables? The kids aren’t going to be happy. However, if you don’t need huge portions, and like getting a LOT of vegetables? This is the place for you. Seating is outside, with not a lot of shade. We came in November, so no problem. If you come in the summer? You are going to broil.

Highly recommend this place. I just recently became a vegetarian and they had plenty of options to choose from, from vegetarian to vegan. I ordered the roasted vegetable couscous wrap; I must admit it was delicious, however it did not have many vegetables. The wrap has the word VEGETABLE in it, so I only expected that it would be filled with veggies, but sadly it wasn’t. All together it was delicious.

Customer service great– food not very good. Had roasted vegetable and couscous wrap and honey checked and rice. Pita wrap tasted old, veggies inside not very tasty. Honey chicken not crunchy and not flavorful tasted baked, which is okay but the coating was sticky wet. Portions were small. Bother low quality. Cost over $ 20 with no drinks. Won’t eat there again.

I liked our meal. The whole family enjoyed. It wasn’t the typical amusement fare of burgers, dogs, or tenders. Could it have been better? Yes. Could the portions have been larger? Yes. Was it bad? No. We ordered: 2 pork egg rolls Beef bowl Orange chicken Curry chicken Coconut pineapple cake The egg rolls weren’t stuffed with cabbage and carrots like at other fast food Chinese places. Hubby said there was a good amount of beef in his bowl. There were large hunks of chicken in the orange chicken, and the curry had good flavor although it was lacking in any chicken. All main dishes came with a large scoop of rice. The coconut pineapple cake was decent. Again, I enjoyed that there were lots of options that were NOT the typical amusement fare for the adults. In fact, all of animal kingdom had options that aren’t the norm from the rest of the Disney resorts, and I so appreciated it!

Don’t worry — there’s lots of seating in the back! We ate here for lunch on our day at Animal Kingdom. The lines were long, but they moved fast and we managed to find a table for the five of us. I forgot what I had(we went this past October), but I’m pretty sure I was satisfied!

I wanted to like my meal today, but I just couldn’t I had the salad with shrimp, which looked appetizing, but was drowned in a dressing that had way too much ginger for my palate. The shrimp were tiny, but tasted o.k. There really weren’t that many of them for the price — shrimp are really quite cheap these days. We were a largish family group and some of there entrees were o.k., but that’s the best I would I could give them. I’m afraid I won’t go back the next time we’re in this park.

There is a vegetarian offering that can be veganized, the roasted vegetable lavash wrap with cous cous. Instead of the yogurt sauce, you can get a balsamic vinaigrette. The wrap was pretty tasty for what it was, but was lacking. The name is not fitting. The amount of vegetables that you actually get are tiny, barely there, slithers. It is quite disappointing. I recommend ordering a side salad to stuff the lavash if you plan on getting it. The sit in restaurant has more vegan options to choose from. I must say the staff is so friendly and the chefs at any food place in the park are very accommodating. All you have to do is ask. This is a fast food type place and they still had a chef come out to accommodate my needs. So awesome.

So here’s the thing that irks me about Disney: they know you are going to eat at the park so what do they do? Make the cheap food look so unappetizing that you almost are forced to go to the $$ places. I wanted to be somewhat healthy so I got a chicken salad. As you can see from the picture I barely got any chicken in my salad. For $ 10 I feel like I should at least get a handful of chicken, I mean romaine lettuce doesn’t cost that much. I hoped the saving grace was going to be the dressing… boy was I wrong. It had no flavor and there was not even enough to cover my entire salad. My bf got the Korean BBQ chicken dish with white rice and it was another total bust. Small portions and no flavor. To top it all off when we go our food from the window, a good 20% of my coke was on my tray. Did they refill my $ 4 drink? Nope. Just put some napkins on my tray and said«make sure you’re carrful while walking». I’m sorry Disney you have to do better. I’m paying good money to have that«magical» experience and I feel like Mickey’s just took a dump on me.

Are you interested in paying Disney prices for Lean Cuisine-level Asian fare? Then look no further! Service was quick at the counter but the Asian dishes are very plain and reminded me of the microwave dishes you can get at the supermarket. Same sauce on different meat and veggies. Honey Chicken was blah. The Korean beef was better but still had that plain flavor. I’ll check out other options in AK next time.

The Good Wife and I got the Korean Chicken which was basically sweet and sour and the honey chicken which reminded me of Costco garlic chicken. Both were fine for a counter service on the dining plan. Also, got an egg role that was ok. The reason for the good was it is better than Panda and fried burgers. Dessert was a banana pudding and chocolate mousse. Both were creamy with a decent flavor. The Bad Sauce was pretty sweet. The Ugly No Ugly when your in Disney on dining plan.

Holy YUM. Yak & Yeti totally surpassed my expectations(just to clarify, this is the quick service restaurant which is right next door to the full service sit down). We were STARVING and wanted something more than just snack food, but certainly didn’t want BBQ and have already had pizza 3 times :) We wandered over to the sit down Yak & Yeti and were unimpressed by the prices, but then saw this place next door. I ordered the honey chicken and the husband ordered the beef lo mein. We also got a side of the egg rolls. The food was awesome. I really liked my honey chicken(it reminded me of a similar dish at P.F. Chang’s), but the husband’s beef lo mein was INCREDIBLE. It was so good. I ate way more of his dish than he wanted me to, but I would order this hands down next time. The eggrolls were decent, but not worth it. On the side of the quick service restaurant, they also have a beverage counter. Here they have a drink called the Yak Attack which is frozen and alcoholic and just awesome. I would order these all day if I was by a pool! Refreshing! Definitely stop by Yak and Yeti when in Animal Kingdom. Surprisingly great food… not super authentic. I liken it to a Panda Express, but stupid delicious nonetheless.

What do you expect? It’s the equivalent of fast food inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Honestly, it met my expectations– food was OK, and very much over priced. Limited menu to choose from, and all the food is pre made– sweet and sour chicken, honey chicken, beef lo mien, a Chinese sandwich and a salad make up the entire menu. Drinks and deserts are also available, and way entrée runs about $ 10 – 12, plus drink. Hubs and I ate lunch(2 drinks 2 entrees and 1 dessert) for $ 32. Condiments and silverware are located in carts nearby, kind if odd but easy enough to find. Be sure to ask for a straw at the window when you pick up your food, they aren’t available at the carts! Overall, quick delivery of mediocre food at a theme-park price = what I expected.

This is the first meal we have had in the Disney parks. As expected, it was pricey which should not have been a problem had the food been delicious. Sadly, the food was just mediocre. We ordered the Asian chicken sandwich with garlic fries. It really was just chicken salad sandwich with a very slight hint of sesame oil. The fries were too salty that I found myself drinking with almost every bite. Also, the souvenir tumbler I ordered with my soda fell apart once we got to our hotel, so I would advice against that. The bright spot is that Yak & Yeti was near the place where they were doing some Bollywood dancing. But if you could be bothered to look for another place to buy food from, I would suggest you do that instead.
