Established in 1999.

The Joint is a rapidly growing franchise whose story first began in 1999. Back then The Joint set out to promote and deliver the health benefits of routine chiropractic care because at the time, a rapidly changing chiropractic industry left providers searching for an alternate means to meeting the needs of patients in an otherwise conventional healthcare structure. On a mission to meet the needs of both patient and chiropractor, The Joint set out to transform the traditional and often misunderstood practice of chiropractic care into a strong, simple and valuable business.

Dr. Gary W.

Manager

Dr. Gary Baker, D.C., Q.M.E., C.C.R.S. graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College Kansas City, MO in 1981. While at CCKC he traveled to Mount Horeb WI every other month to train at the Gonstead Clinic becoming proficient in the technique. Following graduation he practiced in San Jacinto, CA. After one year he moved to France to practice. After practicing in France he returned to CA to teach technique at CCLA. He started a practice in his home town of Hermosa Beach, CA. He practiced in Hermosa for over 30 years. During that time he became a Q.M.E. and a certified rehab specialist. He opened 5 rehab clinics using MEDX technology. Following a extended time in solo practice he became a doctor for the Joint.

My son sees Dr. Flodious. As an RN i love his bedside manner and geniune care for kids. My son had debilating headaches from a car crash. He went from multiple meds for pain to nothing. I highly recommend him!!!

This is an update to my last review: I’ve been coming back here for a few months now and it’s actually pretty great. I’ve gotten to know the doctors a little bit with more visits and the convenience is great. I bought a six month plan and it’s been working wonders. I drop in about once per week to get realigned and it makes me feel so much better. Stress, pain, tension gone. I’m in and out of there within 15 minutes on my lunch break.
I would definitely recommend coming to the joint if you’re looking to get some chiropractic care. It’s super convenient, a great value, and it works!

I have been seen several times at the Lake Forest location and love the regular chiropractor, Dr. Stuart. He is a very good chiropractor.
In general, the Joint is a great deal for those who need on-​going chiropractic care. Some of the chiropractors are better than others. I recommend keeping track of the chiropractors you like and calling to see who is working before you go in. It is so nice to walk in 7 days a week without an appointment and be seen when needed!
The chiropractors will admit this is not the place to go for an acute injury. They do not have x-​ray machines and are not equipped to do anything other than a quick adjustment. If that is what you need, this is the place to go. I higly recommend the monthly plan.

If you don’t have major issues, and need a simple adjustment often, like a neck crack or a quick back adjustment frequently like I did for maintenance, this is the place to go!
If you’ve had MAJOR surgery or car accident or anything major in the past, then I would not suggest this… Just because it could cause more damage if you’re not careful… I would see a place under your insurance provider that has your medical history for that…
I just sleep wrong and cannot get it right sometimes and need an adjustment in my neck and sometimes my lower back… And it was AWESOME!
Unfortunately i moved out of state and we don’t have one near by, I do miss this place… My neck misses it too!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I pinched a nerve in my neck and called to come in since my Chiropractor couldn’t get me in until later that afternoon and I was leaving town at 130 so I needed an appointment earlier.
The receptionist was very sweet and helpful, however my «Dr» or «chiropractor was terrible. His name was Ryan, his bedside manner baffled me. First he started off rudely asking me why didn’t you go to your regular chiropractor? I explained my situation. And by the way why does it matter??? It’s always nice to have options so shouldn’t you try to win me over with your business? Then he said «ok I’ll just adjust your neck. I had to ask to get my back adjusted too because the pain was also going down my back. He just looked at me like «fine». He did my adjustments and then said ok you’re done… I looked at him waiting for some kind of aftercare instructions and he looked at me like «WHAT???» I then ask him should I ice it? Apply heat? Lots of fluids? I told him that my other chiropractor usually will tell me or show me some kind of stretches or after area instructions and then He paused, looked at me like I was stupid and said Um yeah do all of those.
It was such a terrible experience! I called later and ask to speak to a manager and was told they don’t have one. They said they would call the area manager since they can’t give out her info and later called me back and said you can email her. REALLY??? not even enough common courtesy to call me! I will never go here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This was my first visit to The Joint. The service at the front desk was okay. It was a little awkward because it was the guy’s first day (He was filling in).
I have been to chiropractic care before, and I am already a believer. I was just looking to get a lower back issue resolved because I’ve been feeling a little discomfort recently. I used their $ 19 introductory offer. Dr. Ryan seems like he knows what he’s doing. He asked me a few questions about my chiro and exercise history to get a feel for the issues I’ve been having. He adjusted me super quick and focused on the area that was giving me the most discomfort.
The adjustment was pretty good from my experience.
At the end, Edward (front desk) tried to convince me to go with one of the packages which I had previously explored online before going in so I wasn’t in the mood to hear them. And I wasn’t in the mood to listen to his personal stories of how chiropractic works the more you get adjusted and what not. I already understand and Dr. Ryan already explained it all. It was just redundant. After that, it took Ed nearly 10 minutes to figure out how to charge my credit card in the system. Lol. He seemed a little flustered but I don’t blame him. I get it.
My first impression is the place seems very efficient but maybe not too personable. The adjustments are so quick, it may not feel like you’re getting the attention you desire.
Anyways, I’m probably going to go back and get a monthly plan. In my opinion and experience they have some of the best deals around for care packages. So we’ll see how this pans out next time.

Fast check in with a Barcode scanner, and no need to make an appointment. These guys are low pressure chiropractor with pricing being close to $ 20 per visit. Wait is minimal and it is very helpful.

You are paying $ 30 for 45 second service that dose nothing and doesn’t even help you. They didn’t even asked me where do i feel pain. That was my last time and i wouldn’t recommend this place to others. You can find better place with better service

I have been waiting for the day I created a Unilocal account for me to write this review.
In terms of the chiropractors /​check-​in /​effectiveness, I would give this business 4.5 stars! They were kind and efficient.
However, when I had to cancel my plan last year, things got painful. When I put in my 30 days notice that I would have to cancel my plan (as I was moving to a new city an hour away), I verified with two receptionists that I would be able to use my final four visits. They both assured me I could. I went for the first one– no problem. The second time a third receptionist insisted I pay the «reduced» membership price ($ 15 I think?) before going in. Because I twisted my back earlier that day, I tried fighting it, but caved in order to get my back fixed. A few days later, I noticed a charge for $ 60 on my credit card account– apparently the last time she charged me for the reduced visit, she made a mistake and restarted my membership. I spent thirty minutes trying to get her to negate the whole charge (as I had most definitely not authorized that) before a different receptionist walked in and eventually made it all go away. The original receptionist then made it clear I was not going to get my final two visits as promised and sent me on my way.
So… the whole membership makes me leery of recommending them as wholeheartedly as I would have prior to trying to leave. Just make sure you get any promises in writing!!!

We were a little skeptical at first but now we are glad we went. Consider this a quick and easy fix. The best part of it is the fast check-​in, quick adjustment and out versus the traditional chiropractor office. Please be advised, this is not a doctor’s office, just a quick repeated «adjustment» visit after visit.
Catch: In order to take advantage of the $ 8.75 per adjustment, you must sign up for a 6-​month (4 visits a month) membership to lock in the rate of $ 35 a person billed monthly for a total of $ 210 for 6 months.

The service on front desk is bad I cancelled my membership 3 months ago now I got new charges on my card I call and ask why the answer was we only freeze your account in case you want to come back I never ask to freeze it I needed to cancel.
Well just pay this month to get it cancelled I all ready did that why I have to do it again?

I was a little skeptical at first but this place proved to be great. I’ve had some lower back pain for a while because I work construction but my weekly visits have basically removed that pain! I always make sure to come in every week. It’s well worth the price. I highly recommend this place!

I absolutely love the Joint and recommend them without hesitation.
I have been benefiting from chiropractic care for 5 years and have seen a handful of chiropractors. With that being said, I have also spent a lot of money on corrective, preventive and maintenance care for my body. Normally, one visit runs $ 30-​$ 50; at the Joint you get 4 visits for $ 50.
This was a game changer for my budget and my body. Don’t be fooled by the price. The Joint gives outstanding care with great customer service.
Dr. Manuel «the wizard» (who works Friday-​Sunday) is the MAN. Go see him! He has some interesting techniques that can best be described as MAGIC. He spends extra time making sure your body is aligned in all the right places and shows extra care and attention to each individual. Of all my chiropractors, he is the best, most talented and caring.
I have had such a wonderful experience with the entire staff and always look forward to my next visit!

Now, many people may feel skeptical regarding chiropractic care at $ 49/​month for 4 visits. After my experience of 2 months as a member, I can honestly say that it is absolutely the same/​similar care of what you would find at a conventional clinic.
I strongly recommend going in on Fridays to see Dr. Manuel. My co-​worker and I call him «The Wizard». Go to him and ask for «The Magic». He gives extra special care where he works other areas outside of what most have experienced. For instance, he tests strengths within your legs, arms, and shoulders. After testing your strengths in these areas, Dr. Manuel does his «Magic» and enhances your strength in those problem areas. Dr. Manuel, especially, is the best Chiropractor in not just The Joint, but at any Chiropractor I have ever been to.

Came in as a walk-​in and left as a member. Professional, warm, friendly and thorough — Dr. Manuel and the team are great! Great concept, clean environment and excellent chiropractic care at an affordable price really can’t be beat. Dr. Manuel took his time to learn my history and provided top-​notch care. I am not «cured» but I feel significantly better than when I arrived and am looking forward to further visits to help alleviate my neck, back and hip pain. Great location and great people!

This place does not even merit 1 star this the worst place to go if you have any pain associated with the spine. I went in because I had gotten a pretty nasty pinched nerve that was getting to the point that I would cry in pain during practices because I could not run or jump without falling to the ground in pain. When I went in all they did was crack my back that’s it and it made the pinched nerve 100 times worse. I could barely stand let alone walk after the visit. I am furious with their claims of «relieving» pain as well as their policy of coming in 3 times a week for a month a 20 bucks a pop. This is disgrace and I will be going to a «real certified» chiropractor from now on.

I’m pretty stoked on this place. $ 49/​month for four adjustments per month. If I sign up a direct family member or a roommate, their 4 adjustments/​month costs only $ 39. If I sign up a third person, theirs is $ 29. A 4th person is $ 19. I don’t have to be financially responsible for these other people, that’s just the price they get for me signing them up. They take care of their own billing.
It would be cool if I got some discount of my own for signing them up, however, I really like this pay-​it-​forward concept. It’s generous and it’s very forward thinking…
I used to pay $ 49 for just one adjustment, years ago. Now I get to have one ever week. No appointment needed. Walk in any time. Hundreds of convenient locations.
My adjustment today was great. No waiting. The chiropractor was kind, clear, informative, and good at what he does. The sales girl was sweet. No gimmicks. No sales pressure.
My body feels loose and light. My shoulders have dropped. My neck is not hurting. My posture feels balanced. A+

I am so glad that me and my boyfriend found this place! I have previous injuries from car accidents and am always on my feet as a hair dresser so this has been a blessing for me. Its like a weekly massage for my joints. We go every Tuesday afternoon and rarely see a line, we also see the same doctor every time because he is our favorite. I wish I knew his name but he is awesome! Always asks if there is any specific area bothering me, takes his time, and makes sure everything feels better.
That being said I do have to note that this is not the place to go if you are looking for private one on ones with full x rays and such. This is a place to go if you already know what is wrong and have already had x rays, or if your just looking for basic chiropractic care. I have already had treatment for my major injuries and only need weekly maintenance. There are no private rooms but that is OK with me. Definitely look into it before so you know what your spending money on, which to me is common sense.

Great concept. I have a great chiropractor that I have been a patient of for a number of years. I travel a lot and have a very hectic work schedule which it makes it impossible to schedule and keep an appointment.
I’ll admit I was very skeptical of this concept. Having someone making adjustments on my body is not something I take lightly. My first adjustment was preformed by Dr. Tobias who was very professional, took the time to listen to me, explained my diagnosis, and then prescribed a reasonable on-​going regimen. My second visit was with someone who was by appearance a new chiropractor, but this isn’t anything I haven’t experienced at a PT clinic, GP office, dentist, etc. She did a great job. She reviewed Dr. Tobias’s notes and did adjustments according to his diagnosis. It’s a team of chiropractors working together.
The Joint is super convienant. You walk in, get your adjustment, and you’re on your way. You know what else is super great about The Joint? Open on Saturday and Sunday with awesome hours! And, the price – less than medical co-​pay and for someone like me whose insurance doesn’t cover such care a BIG savings!
I committed to 6-​months, $ 49 a month, 4-​adjustments, and $ 12 for each additional adjustment. You just can’t beat that!

Although it’s affordable it does not mean is for everyone. Honesty is something you can’t buy this is why I’m giving them 3 stars since they didn’t treat me but they told me why they couldn’t and send me to find a physical therapist. The chiropractor explained I would be in greater pain if anyone tried to adjust me. They are a walk in clinic and there is no X-​rays, no massage it’s basically for people that been to chiro and need an adjustment without the hassle of going to a chiro clinic that takes forever to be seen let’s be honest. It’s worth the try

Affordable chiropractic care — hallelujah!
I found The Joint through Groupon, and got a fantastic deal for four visits (had to be used within 30 days).
I was seeing a chiropractor through my insurance twice a week at $ 40 a pop. Yuck. The Joint has visits at $ 29 per time OR two package options. The basic package works out best if you are going to definitely go once per week.
For the month I went, I saw the same doctor every time — and I came on different days at different times. Liked that.
Should my neck and back become uncooperative again, I’ll be back.
