The Boat Brokers & RV

We took our boat to the boat broker to see what they would pay for it. We were offered less than half of what we sold it for a few days later.

Great location, lots of inventory. Sales staff is very friendly and knowledgable.

Yeah not such a good experience. .all they care about it making sales… dont go trying to trade something for a down payment you wont be happy i promise you that

When buying a used boat from The Boat Brokers they were very nice and helpful. HOWEVER, when selling the same boat through them 2 years later their attitude changed 180 degrees. The General Manager, Scott Buchannan was the rudest individual I have ever dealt with. After 3 months with no interested buyers at the ridiculous price they were asking we questioned why it was being marketed so high. When I asked him to lower the price to get it sold, he literally put the phone receiver down on his desk while I was talking, then came back and asked, «Are you done? I will park the boat out on the street and you can come pick it up.»
He would also lie each time we told him we were coming to pick it up. After six months, he told us he had a buyer but just waiting for credit approval. The buyer was off by only 1 credit point of qualifying. Same story after 9 months. Ironically, they were both off by one point. Hmm, what are the odds?
When we finally waited long enough we went to pick up the boat only to find they never put the boat inside as promised, nor did they cover it. The entire interior was DESTROYED! It cost thousands to repair the interior and to get the oxidation out of the gel coat. Coincidentally, once it was fixed I sold it myself within a month.
Bottom line, if you are buying a boat I am sure they will treat you well. But if you are selling yours go somewhere else unless you want to be treated like sh*t !!
