We use Sun Tracker Pontoons, Bayliner Ski Boats, Avalon Pontoons, Mb Sport Boats, Honda Aqua Trax Jet Skis.

New to the Fall season is our Off Road Equipment Rentals, we will be adding Rhinos Utv Rentals and Atvs.

History

Established in 2007.

We got started when we had our own personal boat break down and had to rent a boat. What a horrible experience. We were looking for a new business to get into at the time and what a great idea for us. We had 20+ years boating experience and loved being near the water. With many months of preparation and looking into we where off and running. At the end of 2009 we decided it was time to make the move to Lake Havasu the heart of boat Renting. In March of 2010 we opened our new place of business: Sandbar Powersports.

Been on boats since the day I was born. My parents use to find me sleeping in my grandfathers boat in the front yard.

Grew up in California

Moved to Las Vegas in 2004 with my wife Polly and son Terrance.

We started Sandbar Watersports at the end of the 2007 season.

Second year in a row renting a boat from Sandbar. We rented for 4 days and never had a problem with the boat or staff. We will be back next year too. We brought the boat back and had a couple small issues that were clearly our fault. They handled it in a clear and professional matter. The last day was windy and they were very helpful in getting the boat off the water but that was everyday. I think we will be out to give a RZR rent. Thanks again Sandbar.

This was an absolutely waist of money the owner was nice in the beginning but but the time we got out of the water she was rude and demanding she was the worst businesses owner and a very rude person she will do anything to get the deposit back she accused us of scratching a door we never even went by take your business some were else she even used profanity with us

We called at the last minute to see about renting a jet ski. They were very nice and rented us a brand new jet ski for the day. We had a great day, rode up to Pirates Cove for lunch, it was awesome. Obviously the brand new jet ski was perfect. Fast and fun! Every person who we encountered, from the phone call, to the rental desk, to the drop off and pick up, was awesome. I will definitely use them EVERY time we go to Havasu. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to rent watercraft!

Avoid this place like the plague no matter what you’re not getting your deposit back you could treat that boat like it’s royalty but they will still swear up and down u made a scratch meanwhile calling u dumb and being entirely disrespectful trust me there’s many other places to rent from I’m sure any other place would better if you’re reading this I just saved you money

We had a blast renting the Glastron boat today, 6÷16÷16. The staff were kind, helpful and asked us questions about our amazing day. We received a map of the lake and had a thorough explaination of all the areas and details of how to operate the boat and dock it. The wind was strong, the waves were crazy fun!!! We have rented from Sandbar Powersports multiple times (ATV and jetski types) and they are absolutely the best equipment. We got a brand new jet ski! They have great prices and the best launch service, are timely and fair and great instructions. Will come back to them again. Reserve early because they get busy but they process quickly.

We have rented many boats in the area and this was by far the best experience we have had. Very professional, helpful, and fun staff. Quick and easy process for reservation and rental when we arrived at the office. Was in and out of the office and in the water in no time.
We rented a Chaparral Deck Boat, it ran like new, had plenty of storage, and was a blast overall.
We will definitely be back to rent again! Thank you guys again for the fun time!

My husband and I rented the Glastron for the weekend and had a great time! We love Lake Havasu and since we don’t have a boat right now decided to rent one. We had never rented before but we both have plenty of boating experience and we were just excited to get back out on the water.
The staff at Sandbar Powersports was very good about answering all my questions during the booking process (all over the phone). I only wish she would have explained keeping the boat overnight process a little better. She made it sound like it would be a pain for us but we saw ads for $ 25 overnight mooring. We didn’t like having to be back at the launch by 4:30 but now we know.
The boat itself was fine. No major complaints.
I am giving them 4 stars because we could tell they have been burned by renters before. They treated us like they expected us to ruin their boat before we even took it out. When they picked us up at the launch on the last day they were finally nice to us and thanked us for taking good care of their boat. Ok… not sure if that excuses their grouchy attitude throughout the rest of the weekend.

Horrible service!!! The boat we rented shut off on us about 5 – 6 times. We called the office to pick us up because we wanted to leave after we managed to turn on the boat. It literally took over 1 hour to pick us up. The ladies were super rude. There was another guy in there that was called a dumbshit lol. Don’t recommend this spot.

I rented their 2015 twelve person Pontoon boat. The boat was extremely clean and ready to go. They drove us to the lake and launched it for us. They even took care of putting it back on the trailer when we were done for the day. We had a great time. The customer service was stellar. No worries, no complaints. The boat performed flawlessly. My grandkids had a blast on the Big Mable tube. Perfect for little ones. My 4 year old granddaughter kept telling me to go faster. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.

Tracy was very knowledgeable and kind. The men who loaded and unloaded the boat were also personable and knowledgeable and made sure all of our needs were met. They loaded the boat with all of our stuff and loaded/​unloaded the boat itself, plus helped us in the boat. After calling several locations, Traci was the only one that was kind, patient and took the time to give us our options and prices over the phone. Once arriving, their selection was plentiful and prices were comparable to other locations. We rented a tritoon which was very nice, worked perfectly, and comfortable. Great experience overall!

Everyone was extremely helpful. They drove us to the boat launch, launched the boat for us, then at the end of it picked us back up from the launch. Their boats were in fantastic condition and we had no mechanical problems while on the water. Prices were fair and there were no hidden fees or other nonsense like that. I would definitely recommend using them.

Dont do it. These guys will take any opportunity to steal your security deposit and more. They claimed some bogus damage on our rental, and without even contacting me with an invoice or details TRIED to hit my card for a ridiculous ammount. That is so shady and questionably criminal. This clown Jason is an amateur business owner at best. He has this nasty habit of blaming his customers despite any circumstance. Read the reviews and see for yourself. His Unilocal is full of complaints like mine. Wish I would have checked here first. No doubt he will be responding to this review with his trashy demeanor, blaming me, and anything he can but himself and his shoddy equipment because that’s his M.O.

These people are great! Rented a SeaDoo at the last minute for my girlfriend and I to ride for a half day. Staff was super easy to work with and very friendly. Had tons of tips for activities for us to do on the river. We were trucked down and picked-​up at a nearby launch — just took a few minutes in either direction. SeaDoo was almost new and performed wicked fast — like you’d expect.
Will definitely be renting again when we’re back in Havasu! Thank you!

I don’t really have time to get in some immature Unilocal battle with you, but since you decided to take the low road and attack my friends and I on a personal level I just wanted to make sure the rest of the Unilocal community is made aware of just how LOW CLASS you and your company is. We happen to know very well, where there’s smoke there’s fire, and seeing how I’m not the only one that has given you a low quality rating, I’m confidently going to go ahead and stand behind the fact that your business practices are inexcusably horrendous and many others on here would more than likely agree. So go on ahead and take a long close look in the mirror Mr. Sandbar… if anyone should feel ashamed, you sir deserve all the credit!

My husband was celebrating his birthday this week so I told him anything he wants to do, we will do. We have never been out to lake havasu so we thought it would be a nice trip out there. We live in Vegas, so definitely no hotel stay on the strip. We wanted to do something we can have our two young daughter take part in.
My husband, Paul, found a nice hotel not too far from Sandbar. He kept calling asking for rates and different rental options. This one had the best service&price around town! He made his decision on the Bayliner 18ft cruiser. After seeing the amount of stuff we had brought, they offered us a nice pontoon boat at a great rate.
I would definitely recommend this company to any friends/​family/​fellow Unilocalers. We will be back to check out this awesome vacation spot and cruise the lake.
