Description

Specialties

We serve clients aged anywhere from 14 to 70+. From executives, students, new mothers, free spirits, entrepreneurs, avid cyclists, Portland visitors, and many fitness first timers, the BurnCycle customer base is very diverse. BurnCycle clients enter the studio, sign in, put on special clip-in cleats, then enter the dark candle lit room and get ready for their ride while DJ remixes and top 40 hits are blasting through the speakers. When the class begins the BurnCycle certified instructor leads the 45 riders through a series of movements and exercises targeting the lower body, upper body, obliques and core, all to the beat of the music. Instructors guide the riders through the cardio interval training, while layering in motivational and reflective guidance rooted in gratitude. A high resistance «Heavy Hill» mid-way through the class exists to remind riders to take a second and mentally recalibrate and to focus on staying present. BurnCycle is often described as «the best dance club in Portland — with a life coach».

History

Established in 2014.

After over a year of rapid growth, classes filling up, adding more bikes, and consistently growing demand at their flagship studio in Portland’s Pearl District, BurnCycle opened their second studio in Lake Oswego in May 2015.

Meet the Business Owner

Jessi D.

Business Owner

Jessi D. set out to change something. Not the world. Not global economics. Not the healthcare system. Your day.

She believed in the profound impact of the ripple effect and positive energy. If she could help you change your day, maybe you could change your week, which would change your month, and that could change your year. All it takes is one good day to be a better parent, a better boss, a better partner. A better version of yourself. Jessi believed that to change your day would change the game.

So she set out to create a space to make that happen.

A heart space and a head space. A place where the most hardworking, positive people in Portland would find each other and sweat, smile, encourage, inspire and connect. Somewhere people could come tap into the boundless positive energy that she would infuse into every aspect of the studio.

An avid spinner, she built a place with everything she craved: intensity, inspiration, and a community of hard workers getting a killer workout.
