Price: Extremely reasonable. Service: Friendly, professional, fast. Haircut: Turned out great, despite my poor instruction :) Will I return?: Definitely!

Reliable, consistent and clean. What more can you ask for. When I first moved to the area quite some time ago, it was difficult to find all of the above. After some trial and poor haircuts, I found Don’s and have settled into Joe’s chair ever since. The conversation is good but the haircut is always gets center attention. Appointments are essential. Best in town.

Great barbershop with 4 barbers to choose from. I’ve been going to Joe Weber for nearly 20 years(which is scary to say). Prices are pretty standard for a haircut, about $ 16. The raw wood interior is homey and creates a warm, pleasant, casual atmosphere. Each barber has his own booth, divided from the others so you feel like the only one in the place, getting fabulous attention. Whether from Joe or another barber on the rare occasions he’s busy, I’ve always been happy with my haircut. The waiting area is spacious, comfortable, and stocked with current issues of news, sports, and outdoor magazines. Appointments are strongly recommended, as drop-in slots are rarely available. However, I’m almost always able to get an appointment within a few days. The location is easy to reach, being in a small strip mall at the intersection of two major roads and only a mile or so from I-5. Trivia: Barbering is an ancient trade, mentioned explicitly in the bible and evidenced by straight razors found in Bronze Age(c.3500BCE) archaeological digs, back when barbers were also the local surgeon/dentist. In fact, the red-and-white barber pole is a relic of that time, in addition to being the oldest known symbol of a profession. During surgery(typically just blood-letting) barbers used a white cloth, which they then rinsed and hung to dry out front. The hanging red-and-white cloth evolved into the spiraling glass cylinder still common today.
