Lake is a family. A family that reaches out.. . seeks to draw others into a right relationship with God.. . to share in the joy and fulfillment found in knowing and serving His Son, Jesus Christ. Lake people are real, down-to-earth. It’s a family that likes excellence, but more than anything, it loves authenticity.
We are a God-centered people and seek to discover what pleases God and do it. Our vision is to be mega impact church. Rather than trying to get bigger, we want to be better: Better people in our relationships, better disciples in all our decision-making and better witnesses for Jesus Christ in a world which offers no true direction.
That is the summit, the apex, the pinnacle of our desire. We hope you’ll join us.

Meet the Manager
Senior Pastor Jim A.
Manager
After graduating seminary, Jim served for 7 years at a small church in West Virginia. The next 21 years he spent teaching at Western Bible College (Denver) and Western Seminary (Portland) before being appointed as Senior Pastor to Lake Bible in 1990.
Though some think of Jim as a cerebral preacher, he’s not your typical academic. True to his down-to-earth «country roots,» he brings a dead-on, tell-it-like-it-is, prophetic style that never hesitates to go toe-to-toe with the conscience. He strives to «herd biblical truth and the issues of life into violent collision at the intersections of the mind and heart.»
Jim models that old adage that sees the preacher’s job as «comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable.» He candidly explains that his ministry is not for «navel gazers, but for star gazers.»
«This pulpit,» he emphasizes, «is for those who are seeking to look up, to study God, to know Him, to understand His ways and His will… and then to do it.»
