Beautiful temple, surrounded by forest. Quite small compared to other LDS temples, but very beautiful Loved their fountain and the detail on their exterior. It is truly a beautiful place.
The visitor center might need to expand soon, it seemed a bit tight.
Still, great grounds.

One of my most favorite places to be. So so beautiful. So peaceful. So calm. If you need a place to go and think, to pray or ponder, this is the place. If you want to feel close to God, come visit the Temple. I Love it here.

What a gorgeous majestic building with beautiful colorful and manicured grounds, water fountains, flowers, perfectly mowed grass, large private parking, etc.
The missionaries at the visitor center are always willing to help you, guide you and educate you on the history and scriptures.
The Portland Temple is worth visiting!
Everybody inside the temple or at the visitor center is nice, kind and very helpful.

This is a gorgeous building and beyond the beautiful flowers and incredible architecture there’s a peace that must come from the fact that people come here are trying their best to live the Christain values they profess to believe. I always have an incredible experience here and leave feeling greater peace, more grounded, and better able to handle the craziness of every day life.

The Portland temple is the most beautiful, peaceful, and spiritual place. The architecture is truly amazing. There is also a very nice visitors center here where everyone is welcome! Whether you are religious or not, it’s definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

I was in Portland on business for a day and decided to stop by during some extra time before my flight home. Best thing I did all day. I hadn’t been to a place so peaceful in a very long time. The beauty of the site as well as the messages shared by the volunteers at the visitors center helped me reflect and put things into perspective in an important time of my life. Make sure to stop by if you’re in town.

This is a beautiful Mormon temple. There are fountains and gardens that surround the outside. The temple is made of pure white marble that almost sparkles in the sunlight.
The inside of the temple is equally as beautiful, including an atrium in the lobby. In order to view further into the temple, you must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-​Day Saints.
There is a visitors center where you can learn more about the temple and the church. All of which is free. Inside the visitors center you will find a beautiful statue of Christ along with videos and other materials.
Highly recommended to come and walk and enjoy the peaceful setting of this religious building.

This is a review of the building itself, not of the religion.
This is the Portland-​area Temple for what non-​LDS members (including me) call «Mormons.» Back after its initial construction, before it was consecrated, they had a public viewing. Pretty much anyone from the general public, Mormon or not, was invited to come have a look-​see at the building. My family, being generally curious about things, went to take a gander.
It’s not as big of a place as I thought it would be. It is big, it’s just not enormous. It’s also not really ornate — it’s relatively spartan, and the paintings they had in it were sort of the sort that hang as prints in just about any Sunday school in the country. The tours were loosely guided — there were groups, and you couldn’t wander off too far on your own, but you weren’t herded around with sheepdogs nipping at your heels either.
It wasn’t really that different from any other church building. A little nicer, a little more formal, a bigger baptismal, additional office space. Rumor had it there would be other things added after the public viewing was over, but some of that was just rumor I’m sure.
At any rate, for all you atheist goths out there looking for a spooky place to break into to see weird rituals, I’m not sure this is really worth the effort. Probably less exciting than even a Masonic lodge.
