Great quality food at solid prices! I would highly recommend the lamb shawarma sandwich. The lamb was well trimmed, flavorful, and tasted of good quality. The Greek fries were also good. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area!

I grew up on middle eastern food and am very picky. I love their food. I wish the portions were a little bigger, but the food is so good they don’t loose a star for it. They have hot tea from the Persian market. Owners are very kind.

These are among the best gyros I’ve had. And I love how eagerly they create my food and their service is excellent. Definitely a favorite!

I ate here when it very first opened as have since returns and I FELLINLOVE and I keep falling in love! The only decent Greek restaurants are all down in Seattle, but Gryo Heroes is to die for! Definitely going back and you should DEFINITELY eat here for a classic gyro with lamb!

Have eaten here twice and it’s fantastic! Both times I’ve ordered the hummus plate with chicken schwarma and seasoned fries on the side. Love both! What really makes the place great is the people! These men are so friendly and really care about providing a good experience with the food. I appreciate that kind of service these days.

I give this a neutral rating because I went in for food and it was hot with door open and nobody even noticed. So we left.

Food so good, you’ll want to go again the next day! That’s exactly what I did! A little place in little Lake Stevens! Located in Frontier Village, nestled between a hair cutting place and a nail salon, it’s a well-known hidden gem that’s worth exploring. Inside is bright, clean and open. The menu is posted right above the counter where all the action occurs. The gentlemen at the counter are friendly and accommodating, answering any questions you may have. I ordered the mixed veggie sandwich, which comes with fried cauliflower — yes, cauliflower is placed in the deep fryer like French fries, but I’ll get to that later — falafel and veggies like tomato, cucumber, and amazing spreads and sauces. In addition, I ordered the Greek fries, while my boyfriend ordered the lamb Schwarma and Greek fries. Okay, so I promised to talk about the fried cauliflower, so here goes! I was a bit skeptical about the notion of deep frying this particular veggie, but they just take the naked flower, throw it in the deep fryer until it cooks to a beautiful golden brown. The flavor is so amazing — it has an almost caramel flavor with a tender crisp texture. Combine that with the stellar falafel and sauces along with the oh so tender pita and you have this amazing bundle of foodgasm that will make you do a Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally, only you won’t be faking it! But, as you are basking in the afterglow from this wonderful sandwich, you mustn’t forget about the Greek Fries — heartily seasoned with garlic sauce, feta cheese and a whole lotta love! These things are delicious and filling. There’s plenty to share! One of these days, I’m going to try their dessert — that is, if I can stop myself from stuffing full of the amazing entrees they serve. With the amazing service, perfect food and casual atmosphere, I’ll be back many times. You should give it a try! Your taste buds and tummy will thank you!

By far the best gyros I’ve ever had! Tons of meat and they mix the meat with onions and a sauce. It’s amazing. The regular gyro and beef shawarma are what we normally order. Oh and a side of falafel because they’re great too! We come here at least once a week. The guys who run it are really nice too. This place will ruin you on gyros from other restaurants, trust me. We recently went back to what had been our favorite gyro place in Lynnwood and it paled in comparison.

I’m giving all 5 stars because the food was good enough that I will become a regular here. The price is about what I would expect and the service is friendly enough. We got the falafel sandwich and Greek and sweet potato fries, both very fresh and delicious!

Chicken schwarma — deliciously spiced! Gyro meat — flavorful! Seasoned fries — THESETHINGSAREAMAZING. Like another reviewer mentioned, these did not survive the trip back home after picking up my order. The store was fairly busy on the Friday night that I went in, but all the employees were friendly and attentive. I’ll be back soon for more fries.

People will think I’ve gone off the deep end. I’m giving Gyro Heroes a 3 star rating. I’m always on the lookout for cheap, popular gyro or Greek places to try. Lake Stevens is a community in Snohomish County, the northernmost county in the Seattle-Everett-Tacoma metro area. I knew Lake Stevens existed and that there was really a lake there. When I lived in Seattle, it was always in the real estate throw-away publications for cheaper and newer housing because it was further out and not as in demand as, for example, the Eastside proper. In more recent years, Lake Stevens has become more fleshed out. Because it’s just off I-5 a little ways north of Everett, Gyro Heroes was on the bucket list for any trip to Vancouver BC. Not only that, my mouth was watering based on seeing all the 5 star reviews, but not quite like the hydrophobia, or rabies, in Stephen King’s «Cujo.» Upon entering, I knew it would not be a 5 star event. The restaurant is bright and clean, their options are varied and cover all the bases, and the employees work quickly and are very pleasant. In a perfect world, those would be the beginnings of a 5 star event, right? Well, two things ratcheted it down. First, Greek or Mediterranean food varies according to how it’s seasoned. I remember ordering a combo plate with lamb-beef gyro with a pita, a salad, and rice, a small piece of baklava, and a soft drink. The gyro was indeed good, landing at about 4 stars. The salad and the baklava came in at about 3 stars. However, I did not care for the«saffron-y,» yellowish rice that came with the platter. I have had delicious rice in Greek/gyro platters many times. Second, the price, with Washington state sales taxes and the tip, was a «little» bit more than I was expecting for being a Subway styled set-up. I think I had expected it to make about the same impression that Mr. Gyros on Seattle’s north side(Greenwood) made. It did not. If not a local and merely transiting on the highly trafficked I-5 corridor through this lengthy north-south metro area, Mr. Gyros on Greenwood is the«gold standard» for me, even though it’s in a smaller place and the area is more congested. If a Snohomish County local or are hanging out in Everett or nearby towns, then sure … try Gyro Heroes. You might like it. Three stars is a decent rating.

At first I was skeptical of this place, I was very familiar with the gyro restaurant that occupied it beforehand and was hesitant to try something new. After caving and deciding to give it a shot, I can safely say that I will be coming back for seconds. Though their menu isn’t as extensive as other gyro places in the area, they offer a decent selection of meat and vegetarian options. Their«pay when the food is brought to you» concept is also a little foreign, but the customer service is great and the employees are very friendly.

This place is really good and really busy. We came in for dinner on Saturday and the place was packed with people waiting for food. You order, then sit. They will call your order out, go get it and then pay. I had just a regular gyro with feta, they forgot to put the feta on it though. Not a huge deal but a little disappointing. Had Greek fry’s too. I wasn’t expecting the sauce on them but they put them on there. No biggy. The portions are big and the food is good. They are fast and friendly.

A slice of Mediterranean heaven in a sea of fast food! Real shaved meat, off the spit, grilled on the flat top with onions and peppers. A sandwich as big as yer head! All condiments and sides are made in-house and everything is fresh, as you order it. I hope they will someday offer the spit-shaved meat, without the additional grilling, as the traditional street vendors do, but this is such a great alternative to the dull culinary fare that permeates Lake Stevens. $ 6.99 for a sandwich that will stuff you most comfortably. It’s also wonderful to see such a well-maintained shop. Cleanliness is very high on my list of dining priorities. One tip, if you want the real flavor to shine through, skip the sprinkle of spices on top. I found them just a bit too much… otherwise, I am a fan!

YUM!!! I am brave enough to admit I stumbled upon this place simply because my daughter was truly in need of the ever-famous(or is that«infamous»?) «McDonald’s cheeseburgers-no pickle-no onions», and well, sometimes a gal just needs what she needs. But wait!!! Lo and behold! There, quietly sitting there facing the golden arches was… GYROHEROES! Oh, hello! Hurray! Yum! Go through the drive through and dash over to a better«happy land»! Let’s review, shall we? Quality of food: Pretty amazing! The Greek fries will never, ever make it back to Snohomish in one piece, just saying… Craig, I love you, but you are on your own if you don’t drive there with me. Price: Yeah, Seriously? Compare it to your McD’s/Qdoba receipt and you will see the bargain to be gained by this place, and that doesn’t even compare difference in quality! Customer Service: Can I just adopt all of the employees(which include the owners who work incredibly hard) and bring them home? This is why you can always tell the difference between personally owned and not. They live and breath this place, and it shows. Having owned our own business for many years, I get it, You will, too. Cleanliness, Etc: Yep. Added Bonus: SNEAKATTACK! Fine, go for McD’s for the kids, live on the edge, be the renegade, and then BUYFOODYOUWILLENJOY, TOO! I know, I know, this is the kind of thing they don’t tell you in parenting classes, but it’s true, compromise is not so bad sometimes. Come on, try it, you’ll like it.

I’ve passed this place for months and finally gave it a try. It is SOOOOGOOD! Gyro, chicken, Greek fries and BAKLAVA! Omg it was so good. And so fresh! Actually, it was too good. I ate more than I should… but who cares. Live a little! Not only was the food great, the customer service was fantastic! The guys working were so sweet. They where so friendly and attentive. Not sure if they are the owners, but they act like it. We will definitely come back. Seems like a great spot for quick takeout too! Nommmmmm

Thank you Unilocalers for this find! Clean and friendly place with a legit«Greek guy» behind the counter. Had the $ 6.99 Gyro sandwich style and was really impressed — plenty of fresh ingredients and a very generous helping of their Greek beef-lamb meat. I really liked that they chopped the vegetables up small enough that every bite had all of the fixings. I should have ordered mine with extra sauce — really good! I also ordered the garlic Greek fries — drenched in sauce, covered in feta cheese — and plenty of garlic. Really great! Between the hefty gyro and the heavy fries, I couldn’t clean my plate — but left the place completely satisfied and very happy. Looking for something new and definitely different than a burger — check this place out.

We came here looking for the original gyro restaurant, decided to stay(since we are all really here) and give them a try. It was good but not great. Not really sure what would have made it great either. Because the staff was friendly(actually it was the original staff from the previous restaurant). Bathrooms were clean too. What I didn’t really like was seeing the original restaurants signage«ripped» off the wall(you could see the rips too). They put their own signage on the spot… but it was smaller and looked so tacky. I was hoping for something when we came here. However when we got back into our vehicle, we felt like it was a waste of time and money. Sighhhhh back to the drawing board.
