Staff is rude and thoroughly uneducated about their job, ordered a cookie jar blizzard(Oreos and cookie dough) one month and get charged correctly for one large blizzard, no additional charges, next month I have explain to the cashier what a cookie jar is and even state that it’s double the goodies without the additional charge and they still charge me the extra money, not only that, but everytime my girlfriend orders the chocolate extreme, the only thing extreme about it is the time they take to make two blizzards.

I have been a loyal Dairy Queen customer for many years. I am consistently disappointed by both the quality of service and food here. Almost everytime I go to Dairy Queen at this location, they screw up my order. I am feed up with this place I spent close to $ 17.00 on 8-26-2015. I have spent alot of money at this location. They were going to replace it for free, but it would probably be the wrong order anyway I will not set foot in this location ever again and that I would discourage others from going to this location. The staffed are incompotent. Who is going to pay for my gas going back an forth to replace my gas. My friend told me not to go back and get my new order it is not worth the gas. The old staff were friendly and efficient I miss them. I am so pissed off I think that if it was there money they wouldn’t be happy either. I am going to start going to Cold Stone Creamery. You lost a good customer.

That one star will go up to five if you bring back the cotton candy blizzard! And so will your sales

Ordered blizzards twice at the Lakeside DQ. The first time the blizzards were soupy in consistency and not thick at all. I hoped it was a fluke and ordered a blizzard at another visit. The second visit blizzards were the same thin soupy consistency :(I guess that’s why they never flipped them over here. I will drive over to the Tierrasanta location next time I need my blizzard fix.

Nice people working here. So nice that a family ice place stays open until 10:00 during the week and 10:30 Friday’s and Saturdays. We appreciate being able to have a family treat after the events of the day. We usually are getting ice cream and the employees here do a great job of getting you what you ask for. Excellent all around. Thank you!

Dairy Queen is underrated. There. I said it. Since Lakeside is the only DQ with a full menu, I found myself in Lakeside. Lol. This location is a walk up to order almost like a concession booth. Then there is a small picnic like area to the left of the store itself. An outside collection of tables and benches to sit. It does have a roof over it. Service? Don’t count on it. You may get it but it looks like a little overworked underpaid typical fast food situation. You usually have a little bit of a wait no matter how busy they are. True to fashion I get the #1 Grillburger with any of their smoothies and I USED to get a cherry Dilly bar until they discontinued them :-(I’ll never get over that. They have chocolate and butterscotch still. Their chili dogs are really good too. I should say don’t like hot dogs so I get the bread and chili no dog. Sometimes this is relayed correctly, sometimes I have a hot dog Idk what to do with. So maybe it’s only their chili I can recommend? Once I came all the way down to be greeted by a sign that said that the grill was broken and there would be no burgers or anything grilled. I was pretty upset as I come for the GrillBurger(you can get the other stuff at the other locations in SD. Other than that and the Dilly bar they haven’t let me down. If you’re interested in good old fashioned food, DQ is the way to go. I only wish the SD locations had a full menu.

Hooray ice cream! Even though they completely messed up my order the girl at the serving window was so nice and friendly. She fixed it right away!

There are a lot better DQ’s out there than the one in Lakeside. Very young non-friendly staff, food is «ok»(fries/onion rings tend to be burned a lot)… ice cream is ok. I miss the ones in Texas… SOMUCHBETTER.

Hey. It’s a Dairy Queen. Normally an automatic 5, but yesterday(and today) it was(is) 100 million degrees in the shade. so stay out of the shade you say. good idea. anyway. at 9PM they have 20 people in the queue and only 2 employees. this is in the middle of a week long heat wave in SD. Should have scheduled more help. other than that, I got the strawberry and peanut butter cup frosty, YUMMY!

You cannot tell by driving by that they have food. maybe because of the menu placement or the cone, heck i don’t know. but this dairy queen has food! nuff said. the gals weren’t busy so it didn’t take, too, long. i felt like the staff was friendly. i am just so happy that i can get a chicken and gravy basket again!

Within just an hour my stomach is in knots! I would have been safer at a taco cart in TJ. Disgusting! Never again!

The most sketched out area to eat ice cream in! Came for the ice cream, left with a lemonade ice drink. Wasn’t in the mood for ice cream after waiting in line half an hour. This place was packed and I don’t know why but the service was slow. The girls that worked there were too busy singing songs and apparently don’t know what multi tasking means! I wouldn’t go back.

I give this place 1 star only because of the convenience of how close it is to where I live. I just moved to Cali a few weeks ago and was so excited to see a dairy queen after being overseas for the last two yrs. I never buy food from any diary queen I always get a small blizzard. The girl at the window didn’t seem friendly and even came off as having an attitude but I ordered my small Oreo blizzard and when I finally got it was utterly disappointed. There were only a few crumbs of Oreos on top and in the center about two whole cookies and that was it… Needless to say I won’t be going to this place again.

I looked up this Dairy Queen on the Internet to see what there menu was but I was unable to because it said that I need to upgrade my adobe flash and my P.O.S. computer won’t let me. I did notice though that it did say that there was a drive though at this location. So I drove down there only to find out there is no drive though. In fact there is no inside at all. You have to walk up to an outside window and place your order and pick it up at another. When I placed my order the girl behind the counter she was giving me a bunch of attitude. I like Dairy Queen but if you’re going to get some ice cream in Lakeside my recommendation is that you go a block down the street and go to Yogurt Barn. They are just as good maybe even better and you can get you order with out all the attitude.

How much can you say about an Ice cream place. They serve ice cream in a cup with a straw, Ice cream in a cup with a spoon, in a bowl with a spoon, ooo ahhh. They serve food such as burgers and fries but honestly if thats what I am craving I’d rather hit up a ralleys or something. Prices can be high and lines very long at times. I honestly would rather hit up Cups and cones just down the street or yogurt mill in El Cajon for large cheaper portions.
