The buffalo rib eye was seriously great. And you don’t feel gross and bloated like you do after eating a cow steak. The fat is a little different, and the meat was oh-so-tender. The onion rings were crispy and well-seasoned. Kansas strip is good, but the rib eye is more of a New York Steak– a thick slab of meat. Get it without the butter. I don’t know if butter comes on it bc I didn’t read the menu well, but you don’t need it at all. The service was very sweet. And we were entertained by the little bird that perched on my chair. Fantastic experience. We need to find one like it in LA.

We’ve been here before and loved it. This time not so much. It took forever to get our meal and when it finally came it was cold, not just one plate but all 4. I had the Bison Delmonico Rib Eye, it was my favorite, not anymore! It was on the small side had fat and gristle, strange for Bison. The asparagus was skinny and stringy and had no flavor. The onion rings were great. Had to ask for ketchup for the rings and butter for the bread, by the time we got everything we needed, the food was really cold. Won’t be back, I’ll cook my own birthday meal next year. Bob

I found Ted’s after doing a Unilocal search for hormone free steak in the Lakewood area. After viewing the menu and website it appears that only their bison(not beef) is hormone free. I went for dinner and ordered a bison fillet. The atmosphere and music is country. I’m not a country fan but will eat there occasionally for the food. I loved the fact that the fillet had very little fat. I personally prefer the taste of beef to bison. I hope one day they add natural certified angus to the menu. The baked potato was large and had a very good flavor. The downside was I ordered medium well and it was undercooked, somewhat rare in the middle. I know to order well done next time. I didn’t care for the kale because it had a lot of dressing on it which tasted very strong — similar to french dressing. I’ll go for a different veggie next time. I’d give my experience 3 stars but see the potential for 4 stars next time around. I’ll update my rating if I’m right.

I love Ted’s and I think I’ve reviewed other locations but this one is near my new office so I stopped by for lunch with a friend yesterday. The food always tastes so fresh and flavorful to me, I absolutely love the bison chili and the soup/salad combo is perfect for lunch. Our service at this location was a little slow which is always a bit annoying when you’re trying to get in and out in an hour but that would be my only complaint. I’m sure I’ll be back!

Unilocal challenge 2016(56⁄100) You all should know I like my Filets… So I got a Bison Filet(medium rare). It was so easy to cut through and soooooo tender! I was skeptical about trying bison, but it is pretty much tastes like beef wth less fat. I also compared the Beef and Bison Ribeye(from my family of course). I’d definitely go with the bison. The Bison Nachos and the Bison Ribeye were also good choices. I guess the only downside from this experience was that it looked like it was cooked more rare than medium rare. Though I didn’t complain and still ate and enjoyed it!

Had our work holiday party here, it wasn’t even that busy between 2:30 and 3pm and our group was small, yet it took forever for things to come together. In the meantime we only had the super salty pickled cucumbers to munch on. I think I downed 2 glasses of water while snacking on them… My order was for The«Skinny Dip»(bunless burger) because of the kale salad. Even without buns, the patty was not moist. At best, this was an average dish. And it didn’t seem like my co-workers’ dishes were raving either. Overall, this was a meh experience. I used to be curious about Ted’s every time I past by it at Belmar, now I just wince.

Anyone who is searching for a dining experience that is NOT disappointing but romantic, Ted’s Montana Grill in Belmar of Lakewood in Colorado will be your go to restaurant. This location is has left me speechless. Everyone made us feel absolutely welcomed and on top of the pyramids. We had Beka guide us to our seats, where we sat by a lovely window. We ended up moving tables and sat next to a mellow and dim lighted seat where it was absolutely private and romantic. Jeff was our server and by God, he was a grand server! Anyone who gets assisted there by Jeff or anyone else there is lucky. Because the dining experience was rich and satisfying. We had some delicious mini complimentary bowl of cucumber and pickle with vinegar oil that was superb and kept us warming up for our main dish. We ordered the Avalon burger with a 50⁄50 side of fries and onion rings. It has a choice of steak and Bison. Choose the Bison and Jeff will take good care of you. We also ordered a plate of Red Roasted Chicken with mashed potatoes, broccoli and pepper on top. For dessert, we had the Kailua Chocolate brownie drenched in fudge. It was sanguine! Anne was also very attentive and this place left pride in my stomach. Thank you, Ted’s Montana Grill.

Tried my first bison-anything at Ted’s. I ordered the Avalon burger(Gruyère, Blue Cheese, bacon caramelized onions, roasted garlic aioli, baby arugula), and although the description is «mouthwateringly good,» the experience left a lot to be desired. I use a food scale when I cook at home, so I’m pretty good at gauging weight. I’d say my bison patty was about 3 ounces, at most. The toppings were lacking in flavor, which is truly amazing. How do you extract the flavor from blue cheese, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli? I have no idea, but Ted’s succeeded on that front. The fries were completely unseasoned. I left most of them untouched, then threw them out when I got home. For all that money, I expect a lot more.

Well let’s just say the customer service here is excellent. This was the first time to try this place. We came on a weeknight and they were unusually busy. Which let’s be honest happens from time to time. They weren’t staffed for the rush they got. Our waiter was excellent, he was friendly, and on top of things. My wife and I waited about 45 minutes for our meal, when the manager came out to explain our steaks had been over cooked, but they would throw some new ones on. I was extremely impressed on how proactive the manager was. They made everything right and were up front and honest. Since moving to Colorado this is literally the best service I have experienced. When we did get our food, it was excellent. Definitely worth the extra wait.

Just had a fantastic meal here today. Salt and pepper trout was delicious — just melted in your mouth. Onion rings as a side was great — not greasy. Had a side salad which was fresh and had a great variety of vegetables. Service was fantastic too. Highly recommend dining at this location! Bön appetit!

We love Ted’s! If you ask our children if they want a steak, they will tell you they want to go to the buffalo place! LOL! Ted’s has a wonderful atmosphere with very courteous staff. We never feel like our children(who have their moments) are an issue. The food is always great! Our wait time for our meal is never very long. We love the«old fashioned» style pickles and are always getting more while there! We highly recommend Ted’s to everyone we know and take our out of town relatives there when they come to visit!

Buffalo burger was pretty good! Took a while to get the food out to us. The waitress also spoiled our friends birthday surprise! We asked her to keep it secret and she came right to the table and asked if it was his birthday! Oh well, I’d go back.

A chain restaurant, though I did not know that before I looked them up. I am fairly new to Colorado, and we did not have these in Texas. I think this place is great. The food is delicious and the décor is very pleasant and made me think of Montana… which I am guessing is the reason it was designed this way.

Staff is attentive and friendly, everything came out of the kitchen quickly and the food itself was overall mediocre. Hubby had the buffalo chili nachos, which unfortunately had too many chips and not enough goodies for the necessary chip-to-goodie ratio so essential to enjoying every bite. I had a bison rib eye with two veggie sides. I would have sung my praises to the heavens over this cut of meat had it not been oversalted almost to inedibility. I am a salt fiend, so if it is too salty for me, I’m willing to bet at least 30% of you would not have been able to eat it. My veggie sides were great — crisp tender green beans and asparagus, and my merlot was not bad given it was the cheapest choice on the menu.

Staff is good, drinks are really good, and the location is pretty nice as well. I have had some great meals here, and some mediocre ones as well. Steaks are pretty good, but are nowhere near the best in town. For a decent quality meal, not a bad option.

My cousin, his wife and I enjoyed dinner at Ted’s. The staff was prompt and knowledgeable. Great nostalgia, from secluded booths to table top maps of the Midwest. This establishment reminds me of a visit to Montana. The food was fresh and prompt. I enjoyed a bison filet w/a kale salad and broccoli Parmesan cheese for $ 33. My cousin and his wife both enjoyed their burgers #11 w/bison. Great farm to market experience. They are very eco friendly. Thanks Ted Turner
