History

Established in 1993.

Affordable Tree Service opened for business in 1993 with 3 workers and one tree trimming truck. Since then we have grown leaps and bounds to 7 complete trucks and 24 employees. We have proudly added tree removal and ornamental trimming to our extensive list of tree services. The owner Eric Callahan will personally answer the phone and guide you through our friendly services. We always offer free estimates.

I grew up in Las Vegas and majored in business management at UNLV. At age 19 I started Affordable Tree Service. I have extensive knowledge in tree trimming and tree removal. My enjoyment comes from arborist classes at the community college. My 3 sons will also be on 1 of the 7 tree service crews that might service your yard. On the weekends, when I am free, I enjoy hiking at Red Rock and running at Sunset Park. I take pride in making the Las Vegas Valley beautiful 1 tree at a time!

These guys are the best. I had two huge trees in my yard, (eucalyptus and palo verde), and they were removed and the area was cleaned up perfectly within 90 minutes! I highly recommend these guys!

Both me and my wife work non stop between my law job which is really two jobs and my wife finishing her masters degree and working at a public school. We also have a 4 year old daughter whom we would like to hang out with. We have zero time to do anything. Enter Affordable Tree Service.
We had a palm tree that was planted in just a HORRIBLE place in a garden bed beside a wall next to my neighbor’s yard. It was damaging the garden bed/​wall and also was now too high to prune properly. It needed to go. The ease with which I was able to set up a tree removal was insane. I sent an email. Five minutes later they sent a return email scheduling an appointment to inspect the tree and provide a quote. The next day I received a quote and 5 days later the tree was gone. Affordable Tree Service made it so easy to do business with them with my busy schedule. It was nice, because alot of contractors seem to want you to do things around their schedule but Affordable Tree Service did things around your schedule. Also they did a bang up job. I have used tree services before that have damaged some of the surrounding infrastructure when removing tree, but these guys took extreme care to make sure they were removing a tree and that was all they were doing.

This company is great to work with. I had a big job and they managed to squeeze me in prior to the holidays so the place could look good for visitors. The guys that trimmed the trees did an excellent job at shaping them, and there was a large crew to help clean it all up. This was the second time I’ve used them and both times I’ve been impressed. I highly recommend this company.

Our constant challenge is getting work done on our vacation home while we are in town. Affordable Tree Service was a pleasant surprise. They came to the house and provided a bid, but could not perform the work for nearly 30 days. They agreed to bill us after completion.
We returned to the house some weeks later and found that they had completed the work and it looked beautiful. It even looked like they did a couple of little things we hadn’t asked them to do, and that was much appreciated.
You may wait a while for them to get to you on their schedule, but it’s worth it. We will be going back to them the next time we need anything done.

The trees at my house hadn’t been trimmed in awhile and were hanging onto the roof. I had them come out to trim them as well as remove a cactus from the yard. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again!

My use of the service was to have a couple (one small, one tall) palm trees trimmed of dead branches. Also, I had a lime tree pruned.
Everything went as planned from initial contact and home visit for estimate to billing. Internet scheduling and billing is used and worked well.
The bill seemed high, but I only had one other comparison, of gardening work, to base this on now. The good part is that there was no hassle and the results made the trees much easier to look at. I’m sure my neighbor and the HOA were happy to see those brown fronds taken away by the company.

Contacted several tree services, but Affordable Tree Service was the most professional. First, Affordable sent a ‘Estimator’ who determined how much the job would be. Told us on the spot how much it would cost. Then sent an email estimate. I called to set up an appointment. It took about 30 days until they came out. I was really happy with the cut and clean up. Palm Tree cut and clean $ 190.00 for my palm.

After we had bad experience with this landscape company, Eric reached out to me personally and made up for it.
I really don’t know exactly what happened at first place thou Eric showed us his effort to make sure we didn’t left with bad taste in mouth. He offered to plant tree for free and executed as he promised. His crew were very friendly and nice. Came here on time as well. We are very grateful for Eric’s gesture and we will consider to use his company again in future. Thanks Eric.

Got an estimate from Jeremy sent to my email and when the day for my tree removal came, everything was on schedule and super quick.

This is the ONLY tree service I would use in NV. They have the best prices and English/​Spanish speaking employees. When they come out to give you an estimate it’s not about how they can gorge you. It’s about what you really need done. In the best most cost effective manner. They really do set the standard for others to follow. Five stars all the way.

No response to their webform nor do they return calls.

Update: Called them back. It was an honest mistake… still.
Crew did show up and perform work. I did have to explain more than once what «cut tree back from house please» meant. It does not mean leave branches touching the wall. Overall about my typical experience with a business in Las Vegas, i.e. not great. Still eventually they did show up which is better than others. And they didn’t jack up the price after. So overall ok.

We’ve used Affordable for 2 projects now. The most recent project was for heavy trimming at a new house. Upon visiting our property, our 4-​year-​old daughter found a bird nesting in a tree outside her window. The bird happened to be in a tree that needed trimming. I asked the guys to be extra careful with the nesting bird, but I know that the job had to get done, regardless of nature! Not only were they extremely careful, but the momma bird flew right back after the trimming was done! The rest of the yard turned out beautiful.
The guys showed up on time, listened to what we needed and were all super nice and professional. I highly recommend Affordable Tree Service.

I typically do not review companies however, after I have had this company come out to grind away my stumps people need to know more about this company. Although this company may have a bit of an issue with showing up during the time they quote you (yes it has annoyed me) they always go above and beyond.
I had a bunch of Palm trees in flower beds around my pool, the trees were getting too big and destroying my concrete and I started getting concerned about my retaining walls. They had planned on using a stump grinder to remove the stumps and unfortunately the equipment did not fit. Without a complaint they manually removed the multiple stumps with a chain saw an an axe.
They are one of the best priced services and will do the job you hire them for. I have been using this company for quite a few years and will continue to use them in the future. Hopefully I can just schedule them when I’m not home next time :)

Could not have been better. I called and spoke to a gentleman who actually pulled up my house on Google Earth as we spoke.
He gave me an accurate assessment of what it would take to remove an enormous pine tree that had pulled up the plumbing.
He actually down sold his job and told me I didn’t need what I was prepared to pay him for.
He removed the tree, ground down the stump, cleaned up the mess, and left a spotless front yard.
Then sent me an accurate reduced bill by email. No hassle, no demand for upfront payment, just excellent no fuss service.

The crew just left after doing a stellar job of saving what I thought was an unsaveable Mesquite in our backyard. They propped it up, carefully removed the heaviest limbs that were bending the tree nearly horizontal to the ground. It looks naked now, but at least I don’t have to worry about it falling over and taking out the block fence shared with the neighbor. And the part that’s left still shades the koi and turtle pond. I am SO relieved and so satisfied with their work!
They stacked up the bigger logs for firewood for me, and cleaned up every tiny piece of branch and leaf, and had me come out and check it before they left. Fast, efficient, thorough and extremely professional. I would definitely recommend them! The price was also VERY fair!
