Alchemist Pool Service

This company is by far the shadiest and worst company to work with. They will send out their «technicians» on behalf of fidelity warranty and then provide the same service that I did on the filter 2 days before they arrived at my residence. Then so they are not forced to fix things they will lie to the warranty company and say that the suction line in my pool is in no way attached to my pool filter. So unless I have a guy at the other end of the tube sucking in air for 8 hours a day how is this not part of the filtration system? Even if I didn’t use fidelity I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to deal with alchemist. Tommy, you are by far the worst pool person I have ever dealt with. You need to be either coached or fired on how to do your job. And since your company says you’re the «best» I fear how bad the other service people actually are.

Avoid this company. I got stuck with them from my home warranty. They clearly don’t like what they do for a living and make as little effort as possible with customer service and technical repairs. Unprofessional, unreliable and incompetent –just no.

Less than impressed with this company! The pool technician left all the pool motor debris stuffed behind the bushes and the motor leaks after replacement. I’ve called the company to notify and its been 2 weeks and no return call. Seriously what type of company is this?

This company came out to work on our pool and they started out doing a good job. Showed up when they said they would be here, quickly found the problems and repaired the issues we were having. Except for the issues we had with our pool heater. The tech said our pool heater was bad and he would send it to our home warranty company. The next day I received an email saying it was not covered due to low gas pressure. I called them to find out how they came to this conclusion and a man not the tech but a administrative person said it was low gas pressure even though he could not explain how they came to this conclusion since they did not check the pressure but he wanted to make it clear that there was no way I was going to get him to say that it was not the low gas pressure. My husband called him back and he told my husband to have a plumber come out and check. The next day we had a plumber come out. He verified that there is plenty of presure and the problem is with the heater. My home warranty company called them and they still say they are STANDING by their assessment of low gas presure which they never checked and refuse to do the work. Do not use this company because if you question what they are doing or saying they will just refuse to do the work.
I will also be filing complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Awful. I do not recommend. They were assigned to do a pool valve repair by my home warranty company. They said it was not covered by my warranty. I have spent hours on the phone, been given the run around, and even laughed at by them. My warranty company has agreed to cover the repair, but Alchemist has refused to do the work.

Mike came through home warranty company. He was ontime, courteous and took care of the problem. He also found some exposed wires and fixed them. Would recommend them.

Matt from alchemist came out today on a service call from my home warranty company and did a fabulous job. He was thorough professional and very polite. I’m so impressed with this company that I plan to switch my monthly service to them.

Beware of the nut job driving a grey truck… almost killed my family on the road. There are other people on the road man, NOT JUST YOU !!! wake up

My home warranty company assigned this company to my problem. Alchemist phoned me the following day and we made an appointment. The technician, Matt, phoned during the allotted time window to say he was on his way and duly arrived 15 minutes later. He diagnosed the issue as a faulty filter motor. Unfortunately, they did not have the model of motor in stock. Two business days later, they scheduled a time window when Matt would install the new motor.
Matt called us to say he was running a little late and apologized but arrived shortly thereafter. He installed the new motor and everything is back to normal.
I found scheduling to be accurate and professonal, and Matt to be polite, knowledgable, and helpful. Had they had a motor in stock, my rating would have been 5 stars.
I recommend this company for pool equipment repair.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had this company come out and assess a leak in my pool. The leak had been so bad that the water level sunk about a foot and well below the skimmer, so the equipment was turned off. The guy came out and told me that he couldn’t check the equipment because the water level was below the skimmer, and acted like it was an absolute impossibility to check anything else with my pool that could attribute to a leak that bad. I was given no options, he acted like I was a bother to him and he talked to me like I was an idiot. If you need pool service or repair, especially if you go through your warranty company, keep looking.

They do not deserve one star. They are the worst and worst customer service and we called a few times. The receptionist hung up the phone on us. Cause we told her what is the problem was

Our home warranty (First American) referred us to Alchemist Pool Service to have our timer replaced. Alchemist called us immediately to schedule an appointment. They were able to fit us in within a couple of days. They texted us the day before to confirm the time of our appointment. The gentlemen who came out was extremely friendly and professional. He was very knowledgeable and answered some questions we had. We were very pleased with Alchemist. Will definitely request to use them again, should we need pool service.

Worst pool service company with poor customer service. Technician left cover off of heater with wires exposed. When I called the supervisor he told me that it wasn’t an issue and just to lean the cover against it. I explained I has a 13 month old along with 2 other kids and felt it was a safety issue. He said he would call back but never did.

Not a great company to do business with. What a bummer.
They did quickly install a new pump and heater. Once the thousands of dollars in new equipment was installed, the lead installer was in a rush and left without providing even minimal operation instructions. He said he would be back the next day. After a week of not returning, I called to ask for the promised instruction. Again a no-​show. I called again and someone came for less than ten minutes on how to operate my new equipment. I was then charged $ 80 for «pool school».
The owner, Rick, claimed that I was charged by mistake. He made a lot of excuses and never took responsibility for his companies shortcomings.
They at no time offered to make things right. I had to allude that I would take legal action to get my $ 80 returned. He did relent and say he would not charge my CC for the supposed pool– school.
I would recommend choosing another company for any of your pool needs.
I do hope the equipment never needs servicing or I may have to file BBB complaints.

I called this company when I bought a house, in Oct 2014, because they were listed as the existing pool servicer. I spoke to Rick, and told him i wanted to drain the pool and have it cleaned out before I refill. I asked how long I could leave it empty and he said it would be fine over the colder months. I said that would be great since I didnt plan to use it till the spring anyhow. Come this early spring weather I started shopping for pool repair companies that could bid a cleanup and restart, every single one asked why the pool was left empty for more than a few days as it was very damaging to the pool. I now have cracks and chips due to lack of water.
So I call Alchemist to share the info and ask for MNGR/​OWNER, Syd said she and Rick are the owners. I told her I am really upset by the advice I was given by Rick, which has now damaged my pool. She gets nothing but defensive and asks «what are you getting at and what do you want»…“im not gonna be responsible for your pool”. I tell her that its poor service and management. She has Rick call me back. Who claims he doesnt remember and that I have nothing in writing so he wont be liable.
Im contacting my attorney who will determine the liability and pursue accordingly. The conversations were recorded, and at the very least its HORRIBLE advice and business practice. And as an aside, the pool plaster was stained from prior poor chemical balance, so it seems they werent doing ANYTHING right.
If you want a company that has any integrity or good service… look elsewhere. Im obviously not alone based on their other Unilocal reviews.
AVOID.

I had a leak as a result of an incomplete job from another service company sent to me by my home maintenance insurance company. The person came on schedule and promptly knew what to fix. He immediately left to get the replacement part for my pool filter. It was promptly installed, the leak fixed in a matter of a few minutes. The filter had to be broken down for the new components to be installed. Although not a complex repair the serviceperson was professional and also answered a number of pool related maintenance questions that I had.

Always leary of pool companies, our home warranty company suggested Alchemist after the motor and pump went-​out.
After talking w/​Rick, the owner, who was VERY knowledgeable, set-​up our appt. only 2 days later. Josh did an excellent and professional installation of the variable speed/​pump. Josh also took time explaining how the new pump worked, etc.
We are so pleased with Alchemist Pool Service and will use their services again.

We have been using Alchemist for almost 6 uears now, when we first moved to Las Vegas we had several pool companies «clean» or «maintain» our pool until it became such a nightmare we had to replace several parts of the system.
That’s when we met Alchemist through oir insurance & what a blessing in disguise. We have used them ever since. The got our pool up & runnibg correctly again & at the time they didn’t offer weekly maintenance in our area so for 3 years we just cleaned it ourselves refusing to undo what they had done for us & they handled the yearly maintenance.
They now service our area weekly and our pool looks like one in a resort every week. Its so crystal clear

Worst pool service ever. Not accommodating, horrible customer service, and disrespectful staff. I would never recommend these guys to anyone!
