Peak Pool Plastering

I found Peak very professional with great workmanship. Everyone knows their stuff and comes right in and does their job, from the beginning of this process for me to the end, two and a half weeks. Believe me, if things don’t go right, people hear from me just as much, if not more. That was definitely not the case here. Thank you Peak for making a big job and process for me as good as it can possibly be. A good experience all round. –Lorraine

We were very disappointed with the service we received from Peak for three reasons. First, when they came to remove the old plaster from our pool they turned off all of the outside irrigation to our home, without telling us. The sprinklers (which are fixed by timer to come on late at night) didn’t come on for several days and we didn’t know Peak had turned them off until our grass started dying and the flowers in our flower bed died. Second, Peak dragged chlorine/​chemical-​drenched cables across our lawn, killing another part of our grass. Third, Peak sent us a tentative schedule of when they would be able to plaster our pool, but they failed to come on that date and failed to come until another 2 – 3 weeks had passed. We told them we were trying to put our home on the market and needed the job done in order to do so. But they continued to put us on the figurative back-​burner without explanation. A delay of a day or two or even several days would have been understandable. But they shouldn’t give people an estimated schedule for completing a job when that estimated schedule is so far removed from reality. We told the office staff and the owner about our concerns/​complaints but nothing was done to resolve them or compensate us for the damage to our property. Because the office staff did call us periodically and was friendly, we give Peak a «two star» rating instead of a «one star» rating. But we cannot recommend them to anyone. There are surely better options out there.

You will see many reviews of Peak on the web and I tend to agree with the vast majority of them. You will find the office & sales staff great (5 stars). The quote that I received from Peak was also the most reasonable which is why I selected them as our contractor.
We chose a light blue pebble plaster. The out come in my estimation was horrible, the color is streaked and blotchy and varies from completely white to dark blue (I have posted pictures on Google review) When I questioned them Tony, the construction foreman, told me that «this is a perfectly normal out come» and «to be expect in any color plaster». When I pushed back on this response John (the owner), changed the story and said it was my fault and «the chemistry is causing some discoloration»
So if everything goes OK Peak gets 5 stars… if anything goes wrong «your on your own»… Zero Stars

We had a couple of quotes and went with Peak due to their deal on quartz. Peak were professional and very polite to deal with. The pool was completed one day ahead of schedule, and we are very pleased with the results. The company left the property as clean as it was found, and the supervisor regularly came to the property to check on progress. I would use this company again!

We had three estimates for having our pool /​spa replastered and decided to use peak as they had a November white quarts for same price as regular white plaster ‘special’
We have large dogs and needed a hard schedule, this would be our only complaint, don’t take it as a total negative though they communicated with us daily, emails, phone calls, stopped by in person on some days where we had weather delays, but they would not commit to a schedule and we had a few frustrating delays getting started
Once they started they chipped the old plaster down first day, cleaned and fixed grout on tile second day, final cleaned third day and replastered fourth day, not consecutive days, we had rain and strong winds a few days in the middle obviously not Peaks fault
We used our spa tonight for first time since having the work done and it is so smooth it’s wonderful and the white quarts plaster is very elegant (it was grey and we almost went back to grey) and really put the new look back into our yard and pool /​spa
If we stay in our house (we are thinking of moving after 22 years) I will update this as the plaster ages since that really seems to be where companies show the biggest flaw. Warranty
