Horrible. The tech (Jace) who came to our house twice to fix our washer was lazy and not knowledgeable. He didn’t want to do anything to try to understand or fix the problem and he insisted my husband help him move the appliances too. He just called Whirlpool tech on the phone and pressed buttons, running through the same diagnostic tests my husband had already done. He claimed he could not find the problem so I suggested that he wash a load and watch the washer. He refused to spend the time to do that — to actually witness the problem. He didn’t even write up an estimate like, «I can work for X hours at Y rate to try to diagnose the problem» he just flat our refused to do anything to try to figure out or fix the problem. The washer is still broken.
Oh and he did show up at the beginning of the appt. «window» — but he showed up earlier than the window and then I got a call from the office complaining that no one was home. At least he didn’t charge us anything.

Late and not professional on the phone. Seemed like he wasn’t going to get the job done. So I cancelled my appointment.

Our freezer stopped working and after a month of a miserable experience with All Desert Appliance contracted through American Home Service. I contacted Appliance Rescue through their web page. I received a call back to set an apt. Almost immediately. We scheduled an apt. They called that morning as promised, called a half hour before arrival as promised and arrived on time as promised.
Nel, (tech826) was friendly and very knowledgable. He diagnosed the problem quickly and expertly. He asked for the manual and read the warranty section. (I assumed it was out of warranty and the repair would be my expense). Nel determined that the repair was covered under the warranty and the repair was free.
He had the parts needed on his truck and after a short time completed the repair cleanly. Our freezer was working in about an hour.
What a great experience. A recommend this company with no reservations

I will start out with my first experience with this company which left me unsure, but then lead to a positive experience…
My Samsung refrigerator went out a week ago, the first experience was with a technician lowe’s sent out to fix my fridge, he gave me False information on what I could do with my fridge, he told me the compressor was out and since the fridge was only 45 days old I could refuse service and lowe’s would just give a new one, and he also said there was 70−80% chance the compressor would go out again, AND if I chose to fix it, it would take 1 – 2 weeks just to order the new part… leaving me frustrated and of course just wanting a new fridge, so I called lowes and that wasn’t the case. They said I couldn’t refuse service, they don’t replace major appliances after 30 days. Repair man had already left, lowes told me they wouldn’t reimburse my food loss without receipt faxed to them… Who keeps grocery receipt !?! And I would have to call back the following day to make sure the service tech (appliance rescue) ordered the part… Really?
So what ended up happening, was my husband (who is deployed) called lowes and raised all hell. Which expedited the ordering of the part. Then they made an appointment to come service the fridge the following Monday, then called that day and cancelled 30min before having to be at my house, when I had to arrange someone to be there while I was at work… So I rescheduled for 2 days after.
They sent a guy named Jace to fix my fridge. He was very nice and understanding of my situation/​frustration. And reassured me it would all be ok. He was very knowledgable and good at his job, and my review was mostly for him, I would highly recommend him, and try to request him again if I ever need anything. Thank you Jace! For finally fixing my fridge!

The spin cycle on our washer stopped working. Major bummer. The laundry is piling up. You all know how that goes.
We went to
to schedule a repair. Within just a couple of hours, I received a phone call from a woman at this office to schedule the repair.
They said «between 8 and 1, but we’ll call you the day of to narrow it down.»
This morning, I received a call at about 10 minutes to 8. She narrowed the time down to between 9&11.
Ryan F. #818 showed up right on time. He was incredibly polite and kind and explained what was going on with the washer and the estimate for what it would cost to fix it. He was very thorough in explaining what the problem was and the cost to repair it and the parts necessary to get the job done. My husband and I both appreciated his thoroughness.
BONUS: As a female, I’m used to repair men being rude or dismissive of me. He treated me like an adult who could understand what he was talking about. You can’t put a star rating or price on that kind of treatment and service. More of these contractors need to realize that many of us women actually understand what they are talking about. Ryan did this, and I sincerely appreciate it.
If anything breaks, call these guys. They were great!

Called into Whirlpool to have our fridge serviced because of a clog in the drain. It was assigned to Appliance Rescue who called me within 2hrs to schedule an appt for about 5 days out. I then received another call from them confirming about 24hrs prior and yet another call the day of narrowing down my service window from Half the day down to within a 2 hr window. 3 Calls about one job? I found that to be amazing! When Joel #816 arrived, he was very friendly, and got right to the job. Kept everything nice and professional and even clean! Showed me the part that was poorly engineered the replacement that was going in its place. I found this to be a great service experience, and would be more than happy to call them if I need any other appliances serviced.

Honestly, I would give zero stars if I could. I was assigned to Appliance Rescue /​800 Appliance by Whirlpool for a check on my new washer. It’s been 10 days and I still haven’t even received SERVICE. They reschedule without approval, don’t come when they promise and then LOST the rescheduled appointment. This has costs me significant time and money and yet their manager, Anthony, who is based in California barely had the decency to apologize. If you value your time, do NOT do business with this company! They cannot appropriately manage their schedule, communicate with customers or even keep an appointment.

I replaced my old oven/​range with this new one about 8 months ago after a horrible experience with a different company. Since the range was under warranty, I called Whirlpool directly. They set the appt with Appliance Rescue and Joel #816 was fabulous! Such a pleasant change from my previous experience with the other company (also reviewed on Unilocal). Joel knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it in just a few minutes. He was also careful about keeping my house clean, wearing booties inside and even using a towel under oven just in case any food particles fell out. He was pleasant and knowledgeable and I am so thrilled to have found someone competent and honest in the repair business. The company set a 2 hour window and Joel called before coming to the house. All in all, a VERY good experience!!! I will use this company and Joel #816 exclusively in the future!

Great service from them and I was so happy with Romuel C. He was able to fix and diagnose our freezer’s issue in 30 minutes and he was very clean. Romuel C. respected our home and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely call them and request for Romuel again!

Eddie notified us of the more specific time window which was nice, when he arrived he listened to the issues we saw, looked over our fridge and then Contacted Whirlpool to advise the on the issue and verify what they recommended doing, this is good so if we have any more issues its documented what he saw, and what he was authorized to do.
He had the parts he needed in his truck and estimated 1 hour to complete, and he was right! Very friendly guy, I hope nothing else breaks with our appliances, but if it does well call and ask for Eddie E #820.

Eddie #820 who is a Tech with Appliance Rescue did a great job. He knew what he was doing and was friendly. Will only want to do business with them here on out.

So if you didn’t think it could get worse it did. They said my part came I thought thank god. They can put it in and I can be done. Then I get a text from the technician Saturday morning saying it is the wrong color. So they have to reorder and I need to schedule again. So I have rearranged a schedule twice so they could come to then be told I need to schedule again. I think its time to see if maytag can help me out.

My Whirlpool stovetop grill top had lost the rubber feet and scratched the Stainless steel cook top. I call support and they sent out Appliance Rescue. Joel #816 showed up and evaluated the problem. He stayed on the phone with Whirlpool support, at times strongly convincing the person on the other line, until he was able to get the entire stainless steel top replaced as well as the grills.
I believe Joel #816 went over and above to get my problem solved to MY satisfaction. Job well done!

Romuel from appliance rescue came at my desired time and fixed my dryer. Quick and excellent service. He had the exact parts I needed for the repairs. Will definitely recommend this company and technician!

My whirlpool microwave hasn’t been working correctly for about a year now. After having 2 other repair companies come out, not find the problem, and wash their hands of it as quickly as possible, Appliance Rescue finally fixed it. The tech’s name was Joel. He was friendly, professional, and best of all, he fixed my microwave! Thanks Joel and Appliance Rescue. I can finally heat things for longer than a couple minutes!

Cornelio (tech 826) arrived right on time and worked quickly and efficiently to find the problem with our refrigerator. We’re very satisfied with the service he provided and very happy to once again have a cold refrigerator!

Joel came today and did a wonderful job fixing our microwave! Very friendly and quick service. He came two days ago and had to order the part. My husband told him please come back quick I need my microwave. He told us Monday and he could see our disappointment. He came today on a Holiday and was in and out. Very thankful and if needed we will use this company again!

My wife and I recently bought a Samsung refrigerator freezer. The freezer was accumulating quite a bit of ice condensation and Rom was sent out to diagnose and correct the problem. He was prompt and arrived in the stated time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and mad adjustments to the freezer door’s seal. He gave us advice on what to watch for and maintenance tips. He was extremely professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this company and specifically Rom.

We had our ice maker go out on our Maytag fridge, I called RC Willey and the fridge was still under warranty, they gave me the number to call Maytag and Maytag was the one that contacted Appliance Rescue. I was able to get an appt the very next day, they gave me a time period they would be here and they called again in the morning to narrow the time. They showed up as promised, fixed the ice maker (actually they had to replace it) and once again we have ice. The technicians name was Romuel, and he was awesome, he fixed it right away and he was done in under 30 min. Thank you so much! I would recommend them.

Usually, if I don’t find the business on Unilocal,I don’t take the time to add them. Yet, I received the worst service from this business I took time out of my morning to add and review them so others won’t be so unfortunate to encounter this headache.
I called Whirlpool to have my washer fixed. It’s a Cabrio my husband and I bought brand new in 2006. There has been a known issue with an error code «F 51.» About an hour after my call ended with Whirlpool, Appliance Rescue called to confirm my appointment and ask further questions about my Cabrio washer. I explained in detail and they did not understand that Whirlpool would be covering the cost of the parts because Whirlpool did not send a 3 digit code to them telling them so and they refused to call Whirlpool. So I spent 3 hours calling back and forth between Appliance Rescue and Whirlpool to finally get an answer, «The technician will just have to call Whirlpool when he gets to your home for the approval code.» I was also told that their labor fees were not hourly and were based on difficulty, and that the price would be in the range from 60 $ to $ 120.
I waited almost a week, the technician came. He came with the wrong part, a fast talking mouth, and a misunderstanding that I know nothing about my washing machine. I told him, in detail, what was wrong with the washer, the error codes, I even had to run the diagnostics test for him, and then I hung back and watched him. He continued to insist that the error code I gave him was the wrong one, even though it was flashing on the washing machine, and that we also needed the (wrong & more expensive) part that was not covered by Whirlpool (i’m guessing to make up for the loss of getting the wrong part), until I had to flat out tell the guy to just replace the part that is on the work order. When it came time for him to call Whirlpool to get his approval code, it was like pulling teeth to get him to call. He finally did, and had a Whirlpool tech on speaker. The customer service tech from Whirlpool, to my surprise, said the parts AND labor were covered as this has been a known issue for this model Cabrio. When the Appliance Rescue tech got off the phone, he wrote up the work order and told me that labor would be $ 160, to which I promptly reminded him parts AND labor were covered. He kept insisting it wasn’t, so I had him call Whirlpool back. After a 2^nd confirmation from Whirlpool, he then called his office and gave them the approval code and they confirmed it as well.
An hour after this shoddy tech left, I received a call from Appliance Rescue telling me that there was a misunderstanding and that the labor would not be covered. At this point, I felt that continuing service with a company that gives me this much difficulty over replacing a part was not worth the headache and I also had a bad feeling the tech would continue to insist we needed the other part we do not need (if I can’t trust a technician, there is no business). So I told Appliance Rescue to cancel all my business with them and I called Whirlpool, explained my grievances, and they expedited my service with another company — who is super fantastic and much more professional/​organized, had no issues confirming the information Whirlpool sent them, and more concerned about getting my washer fixed ASAP than questioning the legitimacy of Whirlpool paying for the part.
