Buy-Rite Appliances

Terrible.
They do not answer phones during business hours and have no message machine. We had an appointment scheduled 5 days in advance for Monday morning. I tried calling Thursday, Friday and Saturday during normal business hours to reschedule and there was no answer. They do not have a message machine — really? Needless to say they marked us for a no-​show on Monday morning. I called them on Monday and rescheduled for Tuesday 10 – 2. They said they would not reschedule again if the Tuesday appointment didn’t go through — fair enough. It’s 215PM on Tuesday and I just finished a phone call with a rude man who said we were never rescheduled and we now have to call Samsung for our warranty work. I told him I was dissatisfied with their business and it was consistent with their Google/​Yelp reviews. He said «they are all a bunch of cry babies». That’s you folks! He’s calling his customers cry babies. Could you imagine a legitimate and quality service provider calling you that? Those of you who are referred to this company by your warranty center should deny and ask for a different service provider. BBB is my next step if I have issues. Also, if you read the only positive ratings of this business you will quickly realize they are illegitimate unnamed «customers» and I suspect they are friends, family or employees of the business.
Beware!!! Shady, disorganized, rude and I suspect incompetent. Good luck!

As of today I have experienced everything in one way or another from this company. I find the young lady/​woman who answers the phone to be rude and obnoxious. My Samsung washer, now 96 days old, should have been assigned to another local service center since this is the second time they have looked at my washer. Samsung should take a close look at Unilocal reviews and give us a respectable and responsible company to honor warranty issues. I regret buying my washer and drier at Lowes and the fact that they contract to this company. Honestly, they give Samsung a bad name. I’m going to update later, I have to call them to hind out if parts are in yet.

That is not the problem. The water tastes fine.
Per Samsung, things can be done. Your tech did nothing when he was at my home except check the temperature of the fridge, freezer, and drink drawer. Samsung is sending someone else to address the issue, and indicated that they did not/​should not have advised you nothing can be done… or that other odors from my house is causing a smell in the ice maker different from any other smell in my house.
Further, after contacting Samsung, they determined that a service visit was appropriate. Unfortunately it was the same company to call to set it up, Buy-​Rite. Upon recognizing it was me, the owner advised that nothing could be done and cancelled all further service appointments for me. Luckily Samsung is having a specialist call me, because they believe this is an issue, and that it warrants actual service. They also advised that we should not consume the ice until the problem is resolved as it may not be safe for consumption.

This company is horrible! The customer service is the worst I have ever seen. My microwave had a slightly loose panel and now it’s extremely loose due to the technician pulling it aside to take pictures of the panel. He did this twice plus had to pull the microwave out of the cabinet area and put it back in which made the panel looser as well. I called the company to let them know that they made it worse but they could care less! I was treated rudely by multiple office people there. These people should not be in business with this horrible customer service. Maybe they should learn that customers are the reason that they have jobs! I will never ever give them my business again!

After having just bought a refrigerator from RC Willey we experienced a problem with it «squealing» when the ice maker ran. Called RC Willey and they apparently contract out to these jokers. Took over a week to come out, the gentlemen listens and said «it’s your water valve» he says he’ll order and leaves. Over a week later I have to call only to be told the part has been there (no one called or scheduled to come out) and they could schedule me for another appointment. That appointment comes and the technician messed with it for almost 40mins, still making noise. He doesn’t know if it’s a bad water valve or has something to do with the RO system or pressure. He tells me, and I quote «we will order a new valve and see if it’s a bad valve if it does the same thing then it may be your RO or your pressure» now almost another week later I call to find out again what is happening and I’m now being told that the technician said it’s the RO system (mind you he even wrote on the bottom of the receipt it could be a faulty valve) and now they are refusing to do anything else. I asked that the technician be sent back out to undo whatever it was he did at the minimum because he made it worse. I was told that I would have to pay a service call. These people are shady, do not know how to treat customers and I hope they lose their Samsung contract. I would avoid them at all cost.

Thanks for comment back but if that was the case then why was your technician not aware of this? Aren’t you an «official» Samsung repair business? That aside, that does not, in any way, excuse being told it «might be the RO, it might be the pressure, it might be the valve and we will order a new one and rule out the valve» I was told this by Chris your technician. Then to be told, «ya there’s nothing more we can do» He made it worse, the noise is longer and louder now, i can’t even use my ice maker because the noise is so bad, he did that, not me, not the fridge, him. And when I ask to have him sent back to undo what he did at least I’m told I’d be charged a service call? That’s horrible customer service, that fact that I had to call twice to check on when the part and person would be out just to find out it was there, horrible customer service. It’s great you want to comment back on Unilocal about manuals and all but how about we address the actual problems? Horrible customer service is what it comes down to.

Here is my response to your posting:
I never raised my voice during our short conversation and at no time did I disrespect you by saying to shut-​up. When you initially called, your tone of voice was highly agitated because I complained to Sam Sung about your service and you know that Buy Rite Appliances has several complaints that were made and not resolved by others at Las Vegas BBB. During our conversation, you continued to keep speaking without leting me get a word in the one sided conversation. I asked you politely if I could say somting and then you abruptly hung up on me.
How you run your Buy Rite Appliances is your business but people will read the things I have written and make a choice to either use your service or not to. I believe and hope they don’t use Buy Rite Appliances. For one main thing, that you, I believe, are a person who is not truthful and your business practices are not even slightly good. So, people, will sort through all these postings by me and others and make their choice of Craig’s Buy Rite Appliances.
Also, when I mentioned to your tech that you were rude to me on the phone, he replied «Craig has a terrible temper».

In Feb 2014 we purchased a Samsung washing machine from Home Depot. Like any other major store they will push their «protection plan» down your throat in case anything happens you have the piece of mind that it will be fixed. I have now been without a washing machine for 8+ weeks (and have toddlers), having Home Depot’s warranty company giving up on fixing the washer.
First, Buy-​Rites receptionist sat and talked trash about the 1^st company Home Depot had sent out, saying they are not an authorized repairer of Samsung products and there is no way that they would ever be able to get any fixes approved by the warranty company. Buy-​rite is the only approved Samsung repairer in the Las Vegas valley.
Second, they misdiagnosed the issue with the washer, ordered parts that took 3 weeks to arrive, came an «installed» said parts, having their 2^nd technician then tell me, that the 1^st technician didnt order all the correct parts and it would be another 3+ weeks.
Fast forward a month or so, we decide to contact another company to look at the washer on our own dime, the new companies tech said there are different parts (outside of the parts the 2^nd technician said was needed).
Since the technician had told me he replaced a «board», one of the parts the 3^rd company stated needed to be replaced, I called to ask buy-​rite what part was already replaced as their technician said he replaced something, and I heard him working on the washer. Buy-rite’s RUDE receptionist that nothing was ever replaced, and since the ticket was closed out they are unable to look and see what was done, which I FIND VERY HARD TO BELIEVE with the technology and tracking we have this day in age.
It looks like I am not the only one who fills this way based on the other reviews I have been reading.

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from RC Willey and was having some problems with it. RC Willey sent Buy-​Rite Appliances to us to see if it could be repaired. They were terrible to work with and had the rudest employees — including the office manager and the owner. We had an issue with the service tech that came to do the repair and called the office to notify them. They basically told us we were lying about their employee. They are definitely not concerned about customer service or making sure the customer is happy. It’s NOT about the customer with this company. I’ve contacted RC Willey and Frigidaire to let them know about how terrible this company is — if I were them I would not want my brand affiliated with them for any reason.

I purchased a washer and dryer from RC Willey 6 – 2015. The newest LG to hit the market. I also purchased the extended warranty plan as well. 2 weeks after installation, I started to have issues with the washer, I notified RC Willey and they told me that the LG warranty would be the first warranty I would have to use due to the INSTANT problem I’m having. LG then told me they would contact thier people who take care of warranty issues and they will be in touch. Two weeks later… BUY RITE contacts me and makes the appointment with me on a Saturday to come take a look at my washer. The Technician came out and stated it needed a new motor and a new rotor… «possibly a factory defect?» He says. hmmm… smartest guy they had I guess.. He said that he would order the parts and get it fixed. Fast forward almost 30 days later, Buy Right Appliance office calls and states, «we have your part and need to make an appointment with you to install it.» I asked her if it was one «part» or was it both parts that was supposed to be ordered? She says, «aaaahh… I don’t know, hold on.» she comes back to the phone and says, «ok, so when would you like to make that appointment? «I answered, «when you have all the parts together, and can install them at once, how about tomorrow at 3pm? «she says, «I don’t know about all the parts and we don’t make appointments for 3pm or later cause it gets to be too late.» After calming myself briefly, I said, «then just make it for 8 or 9 am on Saturday, I’ll be home all day, and won’t have to miss any work to accommodate your service hours of operation. «now get ready for this… she says, «I don’t work Saturday’s. «I, once again refrained from using cuss words and said, «well. how about the technician that came out to diagnose the washer the first time? He came out on Saturday, I don’t think he needs you here to help him does he?!» «try sending him out here and you stay home, does it have to be the office staff that comes out to do the repair? Or can it be the technician?» NASAs missing rocket scientist says, «no…when do you want to make the appointment? «I have learned in life that are certain things you just can’t do. One of the top 3 itemsis, YOU JUST CAN’T FIX STUPID. So after yelling at RC Willey over the phone and threatening to drop the piece of garbage off on thier doorstep, they will be replacing the entire washer and hopefully BUY WRONG APPLIANCE stops holding job fares at Barnum And Bailey. All they need are some little dogs jumping through hoola hoops, cotton candy, and popcorn… because they already have a bunch of clowns. good for them they live off warranty work, they would NEVER survive a real customer based business.

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. Been two weeks they were contracted to fix Samsung fridge by home warranty company. After «repairman» comes over to check it, says he’s going to order part, they were supposed to install it on 7/​14, they never show or contact us. Then were supposed to install it today, when called they lie and state they had part since Tuesday and were supposed to install it this afternoon, then lie again and state my wife cancelled the installation. Then lie again to my home warranty company when they call and state UPS had just delivered the part this morning and they were on the way to install it but that they were «cussed out» by my wife so they cancelled the service call. What a crock of BS. Craig the owner is a scammer and very rude, avoid this company at all costs. Oh but the gladly accepted the $ 75 service charge upon inspection. Will sue to get the money back.

It’s better to go with a landscape company, than use this joke of a company to repair your appliance. My home warranty company set up the repair. The tech came out to troubleshoot the non-​heating of my dryer. Tech left while I was on phone, neither my washer or dryer will work. I haven’t been able to contact them since. Why he messed with the washer, I don’t know. Neither appliance is old, both HE 4 by Kenmore. I have no idea what tech did, now must pay another repair company. Stay away, far, far away from this company.

Update 1 week later…
They wanted to schedule an appt to come out Wednesday between 8 and 11. The woman on the other end kept putting me on hold as I was telling her «your company said you wouldn’t come back out,» then she wanted to know if we had cleaned the vents, then she wanted to know who did it and if we had receipts, then when she said I needed to have the receipts ready for when they come out (which I had not said they could). I told her I wasn’t interested in having them back out b/​c the two repair guys had said two different things, they had given us the run around, I couldn’t find evidence of their business license, she put me on hold again and somehow, I was disconnected. Hmm.
UNABLE TO VERIFY BUSINESS LICENSE ON NV BUSINESS ENTITY SEARCH.
Based on other reviews, my story is not that different. Our Samsung dryer has not been working correctly and apparently, Samsung uses these bozos for warranty issues.
The first technician said two things were wrong with the dryer and said they would schedule the follow-​up.
Nine days later, they come out and the new technician wants to ask his own questions and do his own diagnostics. He says there is nothing wrong with the dryer, it’s the exhaust/​venting system in the wall. Okay, then why have two of you said different things?
Fast forward 5 days and the dryer, which is no longer hooked up to the exhaust (and has pantyhose on it so we can dry clothes until we get our exhaust looked at) is no longer drying our clothes. I call and after being placed on hold for 10 mins, Mark (who is not the brightest or most polite bulb) says «My boss says we’re not coming back out b/​c we won’t get paid for it.» He asserted that we must have broken the dryer since they were here last, when all it’s doing is what it’s been doing for 3+ months – not working.
We called Samsung to let them know of the circumstances and that this company is so poorly rated. They gave us… surprise…another 1-​star company with a revoked business license.
I can see this is going to be an uphill battle.

I wish there was a negative 17,000 stars I could give these jerks. RC Willey, for some ungodknown reason, uses them for extended warranty work. Yesterday, the tech that came out was friendly enough… said he’d order me a part and call me in a couple days. This morning I get a call at SEVEN FIFTY AM, telling me that «I need to have my maids take a paper clip and clean out the intake valve (or whatever it was… it was 7:50am.) and I’m not ordering a new part for you.» He proceeded to tell me that they are not a cleaning service and I need to rinse off my dishes better. I countered with «RC Willey is paying you to fix my dishwasher that is not cleaning the top rack. And if it’s a clog that is preventing it, then you should be unclogging it.» He tells me again they are not a cleaning service. I tell him I’m not a dishwasher repair person. And guess what? If the tech had said «you need to clean this out… I can’t do it, but here is what you need to do…» That would’ve been ok! But I was told «I’m ordering you a part… I’ll fix it in a couple days.» End of story, no tutorial on how to clean an intake valve, nothing. RC Willey is sending out another company… thank you for that… but please, if you’re a non-​extended warranty person looking for a repairman, DO NOT CALL these guys. And if RC Willey refers you to them, ask for another company.

This place is a joke! Horrible customer service and they LIE like it’s second nature.
My Viking refrigerator ice maker has been broken for 6 weeks. They sent Hector out to fix it and he told me what was wrong with it and was going to order a part and it would take 1 week. After 10 days, I called. The incredibly rude man that handles the calls and scheduling, makes up a story about the part not being the right one and they need to speak to a supervisor at Viking. The refrigerator is under warranty and they are trying to get Viking to pay money for repairs that are not needed etc.
The worst company, from the owner, Craig to the rude, obviously dishonest old man answering the phone, these guys can not be believed.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Worst company to do business with! We were referred to this company through RC Willey’s extended warranty department and they came out to look at our broken washer door. The guy that came to do the quote was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing, took notes, got my signature, and left. A couple days later I got a call stating that they needed to send a New technician as the first one didn’t know what he was doing or didn’t take the right notes.
I had to take time off of work not once but TWICE to meet this company only to have to track them down later and find out that it would not be covered under warranty due to «excessive door damage».
Frustrated, and wanting our washer to work– I said just to please do the work and we would pay out of pocket. The person we talked to said they are too busy to do it for us. They can’t take the work because they have too much of it and so they would not be able to repair the washer.
They didn’t say «Could you wait two weeks? Do you want to be on a cancellation list? We’ll do whatever we can to see if someone can get out there” — just plain and simple: Sorry we can’t do it because we are just too busy right now.
WOWWWWW. I’ve never been turned down trying to Pay for a service.

This company is a joke. Overcharging for simple repairs, said it would take 3 weeks to get a refrigerator water line. Unacceptable. Made a call to GE who fixed it in 10 minutes with no surprise charges. I’m thinking that buy rite has a contract with Protective plan we got thru HOA. Canceled the protective plan as well.

I could write a BOOK about this one but I will spare you all the details. If I could give them NEGATIVE stars, I would. I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life. 1. The technician was BEYOND rude after I asked him if we could test what HE suggested, which was unhooking the vent that was clogged. He said, «LOOK LADY, I’ve been doing this 20 years, I know what I’m talking about.»
When he presented me with his $ 115 service call, I told him I was quoted $ 99. He said, it’s $ 115. I called, talked to dispatch, they confirmed I was quoted $ 99.
Went to pay, they only take check or cash. I only had credit card. I called dispatch again, to tell them I only had a credit card and could I mail a check? Dispatch called the tech and I heard the guy say, «She’s being a real bitch.»
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I called them back to call them and of course, they didn’t know what I was talking about, their tech must have been talking to someone else.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY BUY/​RITE APPLIANCE (service-​company)
I am a Las Vegas Realtor for more then 20 years and i have never experienced such a useless company. Why is this company still in business? Please read my story …
I recently had my dishwasher and my wash machine stop working. It’s just me and my son living in my home (at Spanish trail)…I had made 2 claim order with HWA (home warranty of America) and specified that I needed a repair specialist that knows how to repair Kitchen Aid appliances. HWA requested Buy/​Rite appliance service company to repair my appliances. i had to wait for over a week and a half after being told that only one of their service men knew how to fix kitchen Aid appliance… On May 20, 2014 Jim the service person from buy/​rite appliance walked into my home looked at my appliances, first the kitchen aid 2 drawer dish washer and said that the kitchen aid rotator just needed to be replaced and it would be easy to fix.(I got the impression that he did not know anything about kitchen Aid) He would order the parts and it wasn’t a big deal…(never ran the dishwasher) Next Jim looked at my wash-​machine, a Cabrio whirlpool which is approximately a little over 2 years old… Jim just moved the inside tub around and said that the two tubs were stuck together… he then proceeded to run the washer. The washer ran but made funny noises, he told me it was because there was no water or wet clothes in the spin cycle … Jim then told me a story about his personal experience with Cabrio whirlpool wash machines and how they commonly have this problem with the two tubs getting stuck together. He got rid of his own machine because of this common problem. Jim did not open anything, not even the computerized board to see if it had any other problems! He basically barely touched the machines and after 10 minutes if that, he tried to collect $ 120.00 for the service fee. Very dishonest company even after we had discussed the fee as HWA had told them it would be $ 60 for both appliances (same service call cost) Two days later HWA tells me that buy/​rite appliances is claiming that I abused the wash machine, that it’s leaking, that the computer board is not working, which is all false… The computer board is working… I’m not a appliance service or an expert but I can tell you that the computer board is working as Jim was able to run the wash machine!!! As for my Kitchen Aid dishwasher the same company said I did not maintain it because there is a little dishwasher gel dried up in the soap dispenser. well yes of course a little gel dried up as I could not run the machine. I’ve enclosed pictures of my «so called abused and non maintained machines» that look almost new to me and quite well maintained. I have never abused or not maintained any of my appliances as I have paid a pretty high price for them… I can not believe that this can happen to me as a Realtor in Las Vegas who refers HWA to my Real Estate clients! I am extremely disappointed and angry that Buy/​Rite appliances is making false reports & they are dishonest… their company doesn’t fix anything, the service guy barely touched anything… he did not do a proper service call… Yet HWA doesn’t seem to question the company or want to fix my appliances… there is no such thing as abusing a machine just by using it to wash clothes or dishes. I am taking this to social media so people can see my pictures of what buy/​rite appliances and HWA are calling abused or non maintained machines… companies like this are taking advantage of people and this needs to stop… If they had minus 10 stars, that’s what i would rate them. PEOPLE BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM.

Where do I begin? Well my washing machine is under warranty through Home Depot … NEVER AGAIN will I get an appliance from them, but that is another story. As for Buy Rite, the third time my machine broke, the warranty called them out instead of the repair place I had the first two times. Buy-​Rite came out and looked at my machine for a whole 5 minutes and diagnosed it. Waited a full week without a working machine before the repair company came back with a part, fixed it and tried to leave before testing the machine. I had them run a cycle and wouldn’t you know the machine did the same thing I initially called about.
I was told they’d have to go through the warranty for approval of the part (this was 3−19−14). It’s now the 28^th and there has been no updates until I called them. I was told they’re still waiting for approval for the part. I call my warranty and they confirm — still waiting on approval. The kicker is, I was told the approval should only take two business days.
The story gets better!
Once approval is made. it will take 18 – 21 days to get the part. I understand Buy-​Rite cannot be responsible for the warranty company claims department, but I can’t help but wonder 1) when they turned in the claim and 2) when someone was going to call and give me an ETA of when my machine was going to be fixed.
In the mean time I will be out of a washer for a good month and a half before the part will even arrive.
Based on the LACK of communication and the (quickness) amount of time they spend with the machine «figuring out» what is wrong … I would never call this place on my own for service of any appliance.
If I didn’t have my machine under warranty, I’d assume by a new one through sears and than go through this again.

I would not use this company for anything, but especially NOT REPAIRS! They sent a service man to my home to repair our appliance. He did not bring any parts with him, saying he had to order the part. I showed him specifically what was broken, actually handed him the part and when he returned to fix it, he had ordered the WRONG PART! So when I called the office to complain, I was told he would not even be able to order the right part that day, and that if I kept running my mouth, they would delay ordering the part. NEVER BEEN SO OFFENDED! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!
