Bahama Bucks

Used to be my favorite place to go until tonight. I went there to get my favorite coffee drink (the Mahalo Mocha) and the small brunette girl who took our order was probably the most unfriendly, uncaring person I’ve dealt with in a café/​restaurant. She never said hi to anyone, she never smiled, made our drinks wrong (tasted like just straight milk), and clearly looked like she didn’t care about her job. I will never understand why someone brings their personal problems to work. Life is short. Make yourself happy.

Great place for refreshing shaved ice! Fun place for kids and adults!!! It carries sugar free syrups which I must have! Birthday cake flavor is awesome!!! I will be returning to try many more fun flavor so. The baby size is huge for ever an adult. It’s a cute, great place to cool off on hot days, or even just enjoy a treat. Highly recommend, prices are great too.

I love it. It makes me want to move to Hawaii.

Amazing best shaved ice ive had in my life the cashier was amazingly nice, and the price is great the little umbrellas on the shaved ice is cool I LOVE BUCKS!

I went in the other day and was helped by Matt. He was super nice and energetic. His presence was very welcoming. I’ve only been in a few times so it was awesome that Matt was able to help me with his expertise. Also it was very clean unlike most places! Definitely recommending to friends and family!

First time visit to the Bucks, I have never had anything like it. The staff were energetic and fun which went with the theme. Very helpful had an enjoyable desert. I will be back wish it could be sooner.

After passing this place for months now, my wife and I finally stopped by. Such a good idea!
It’s like the shaved ice stands my mom used to take me to when I was a kid, with air-​conditioning, a dining room with tables, coffee, and an overwhelming selection of syrup flavors.
I tried the super sour green apple. The shaved ice was shaved so fine it almost had the consistency of ice cream when I dug my spoon into it for the first bite. I’ve never had such a well-​done frozen treat! Finally, a sour apple as flavorful and sour as the snow cone stand where I grew up.
I suppose this will have to be a regular stop on shopping day from now on

Been dying to come in here… sorry to say I was not impressed.
Upon entrance the entire room smelled like… smoke? Location looks squeaky clean though, lots of flavors to choose from and they’re organized beautifully.
I didn’t actually order a shave ice, I came in with a friend, who is also from Hawaii and I guess we have our own local expectations, we decided to get the iced coffee instead. so can’t say much on that.
There were a few things however that rubbed me the wrong way, besides the smell. For one, I believe it was the owner who was in the shop re-​stocking brochures and tidying things up? Whatever he was, he was rude. He gave off a horrible vibe and made my friend and I feel extremely uncomfortable, not even a smile. Buddy — If you own this place… don’t you want customers to feel welcome and appreciated? Definitely not the way we show Aloha in Hawaii.
There was only one staff member working. Service was slow because of that, but it wasn’t her fault.
I have no intention of coming back unfortunately :(

Awesome service and flavors. Remained consistent and the young man by the name of Matt helped out a lot at the register. And Preston and the shavers did an awesome job. Definitely coming back for more.

Definitely a place to cool off during no these hot summer months. For just under $ 5.00 you can enjoy authentic shaved ice just like they do it in Hawaii on every corner near the beach. Lots of choices in flavors and they offer shakes n smoothies as well.
Usually I’ll eat at Chili’s or Sammy’s Wood Fired Pizza first then come here for dessert. I’m giving them a kudos five star review because they offer catering and a to go party style type offering. Friends of ours brought this for a 4^th of July party and it was a huge hit! Highly recommend if you’re on this side of town or just need to cool down!

Ahhh! Im in love with Bahama Bucks and their many sugar free options. Usually, sugar free options are either scant or disgusting tasting but Bahama Bucks has neither.
They offer so many sugar free options (wedding cake, vanilla, birthday cake, strawberry cheesecake, Jamaican punch, blue coconut, toasted coconut, just simply coconut… omg need I say more?)
also, i bet you’re thinking, at this point, «are these flavors even good? Or will they be as gross as those cake flavored vodkas?» No fret my friend. I tried many of the nonfruity sugar free options and they surprised me pleasantly! Will it beat a strawberry cheesecake? Uh… no of course… but with reasonable expectations, this place will not disappoint.
Price: cheap! Especially if you check-​in with Unilocal and get a free size upgrade :)
Parking: ample!
Distance from strip: 15 – 20 mins? Worth the drive though, especially when vegas is 115 degrees out!!!

Delicious, friendly, and amazingly priced! Perfect for those 110 degree Vegas summer days. Great place to bring the kids! Their sno cones with ice cream are the bees knees.
Can’t wait to come back!

Omg! Found my new fave dessert place for the summer.
The menu can be a bit overwhelming since there are so many flavors and coffee options and smoothies.
This first time I tried Piña colada with strawberry daiquiri with a scoop of ice creamm at the bottom.
I never thought of having shaved ice with ice cream but it is so freaking good!
Can’t wait to come back and try more flavors!

Great place to stop by and grab a frosty dessert in summer. The prices are great and you get a free size upgrade with Unilocal check in. I’d highly recommend getting Mango Tango smoothie. Also get a scoope of their vanilla ice cream with their shaved ice, its delicious.

Vegas is a desert. It was a REALLY hot week in Vegas, and the A/​C in the car was busted. How could Bahama Bucks be a bad idea?!? They have a Unilocal deal for a free upgrade to your drink size with a check-​in, which is a pretty sweeeet deal (literally). You can get a scoop of ice cream if you’d like for $ 1 more I believe. I got strawberry and passion fruit. I don’t know if they even gave me passion fruit bc I thought passion fruit is usually yellow, and my shaved ice was completely pink. Either way, I didn’t ask/​complain because it was still tasty. Strawberry cheesecake is also really good.
They also make sugar-​free shaved ice, but I’m sure they’re filled with those fake sweeteners, so I avoided them. If shaved ice isn’t your thing, there are smoothies and coffee drinks, too.
They have some games, too, so we played some Connect 4 while we were eating.

The service is A-​May-​Zing!!! The girls are super friendly and helpful… Just ask if you have questions.
The only problem you have is deciding what to order, they have so many flavors to choose from. If you want to take to another level get some ice cream on the bottom of your shaved ice creation!!!

I’ve been to this place twice and I absolutely love it. Coming from an island, I used to have snow cones quite a bit as a kid and since moving to Vegas I haven’t had any in awhile, which is why I’m glad I found this place.
The environment is very relaxing, the colors of the establishing are vibrant and give you an «island vibe» and the presentation of the product is very picture worthy.
My first time there I got tigers blood, blue raspberry and cotton candy. The Tigers blood wasn’t as good as I was expecting it to be but still add a nice touch to my order. (I ordered a regular with 3 flavors)
Second time around I got blue raspberry, birthday cake and cotton candy which was absolutely delicious and decadent!
Only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because in the 2 times I’ve been there they always forget to put the crème on my order (you pay extra for it, so it’s disappointing when I’ve already left and I realize that I basically paid for nothing)

I’d heard the rumors about how awesome Bahama Bucks is when I lived in Texas, but never made it out to Lubbock. Never knew there was a location here in Vegas until a friend checked in! The product is awesome, prices are good, and the service is friendly.
Great place to hit up during the ungodly-​hot days of summer, wish it were a bit closer to me but it’s clear across town. The paper umbrellas and color-​changing spoons are a nice touch. They also have a freezer of pints to purchase and take home.

I have been on a number of occasions since my initial review and I can’t say I’m as enthralled with them as I once was. The service is still great and the texture of the sno is spot on, but their flavors are just so awful, very artificial. I almost always give up on my cup after a few bites or so. Luckily I usually only come with a coupon so I’m not out too much.
There are so many other great local shave ice places around during the summer that I would rather go to.
