Big’s Furniture

One of the worst furniture stores I’ve ever purchased from. We bought an original set of Ashley couches that ended up being defective and we were given a reselection. We even upgraded to what we thought were better couches that ended up wearing out completely after 6 months of normal use. After numerous calls and waiting over 2 weeks, Ashley furniture and Bigs have stated I was out of warranty even though it was a completely different set of couches. So now I’m basically out $ 900 worth of crap couches that I’ll basically need to trash. Do yourself a favor and shop at walker or RC Wiley.

Thought this place was good because they have nice-​ish furniture for good prices and their employees are nice. Problem is we ordered a bed set a MONTH ago and ²⁄₃ of it are still not delivered and still not even in the warehouse.
Also, a part of the actual bed broke the first day we got it. Another part broke a few days later, called to ask for it to be fixed considering it was a problem with the delivery guys (they put the bed together very carelessly), they said they will come out and look at it because it’s still under the 20 day warranty. 20 days? Not 90, or even 60? 20? Okay. Anyway, if it was out of the 20 day warranty it would cost $ 40. Makes no sense. They say our bed set will be here in a few days but I guess we’ll see.
Apart from all of this, they do have good furniture and a great selection.

This place is terrible. The manager was extremely unprofessional. We bought the couch and were told we could pick it up that night. When we got there they told us the warehouse guys left so they couldn’t get it to us. The manager comes out after 15 minutes of waiting, doesn’t apologize and says «can we just deliver it tomorrow?» And that was it. SO unprofessional I laughed when he spoke. How can someone be a manager without even saying I’m sorry for the inconvenience?
They have nice furniture but the customer service is TERRIBLE. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I made the mistake of dealing with this store. HUGE mistake! TERRIBLE customer service. I made an impromptu visit (I will always read Unilocal reviews in the future!) and made a purchase. The sales team was attentive until the credit card was charged and then they simply did not care. Like others, they did not call or provide any follow up. It was always, «Talon will call you within the hour.» Never happened. After 7 days, we stopped in the store. We were promised the living room set would be DELIVERED by the following Saturday, which would be exactly 14 days, not including the day of purchase). So, on Saturday, as soon as they opened, we tried to talk with our salesman. Around 2pm (and after several calls), we finally got him on the phone to cancel the order. He wanted to charge a 15% restocking fee even though they breached the contract. The new manager, Cameron, would not allow us to cancel without charging us. They do not honor their word. Get EVERYTHING in writing. In the future, I will drive past this building. They have lost a customer.

I had just moved to Vegas and needed to furnish my first apartment. I wanted to only buy a couch and a bed. The prices were very reasonable and I ended up buying all the furniture from them. I spent roughly 2500 on a couch, bed, mattress, dinning room table and coffee table. Some of these were on sale so I could save some cash and still have nice furniture. Paula was the person that helped me with my purchases. She was awesome and didn’t push me to buy things out of my budget.
It was available for delivery a week later and installed for free. Very quick set up and friendly people.

DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS PLACE! It takes forever to get to you and then it arrives damaged and no one can tell you when the rest will be delivered. Customer service is AWFUL. I called trying to get some answers and have been on hold with them for more than 30 minutes and no answers. Very dissapointing. If it would let me give them no stars that’s what they would get.

Bought a leather couch there, shitty shitty shitty couch. Low end furniture and they rape you, but you live and learn I bought for $ 900 and sold to a sucker for $ 1,600. The couch was like sitting on a bad piece of wood to say the least, they join a lot of Las Vegas low end garbage stores. I made out on the deal at least :)

RUDE. We ordered a simple couch on 7÷8÷15 they told us it would take 10 – 14 days to come in and they would call us to schedule a delivery as soon as it got there. Day 15 we called asking the status and it wasn’t there yet. Then they call us 7÷25÷15 saying it was there and that they could deliver it that Monday. Here we are 7÷31÷15 Thursday and finally got our couch. On top of that they said we were number one on the list of delivery for today in the bracket of 8AM — 12PM… They showed up at 11AM. How does that make us «first» .
The delivery men hardly spoke a lick of English. Then were very rude to me. I was trying to help from keeping things falling on them while they moved the couch and one very rudely said «EXCUSE ME» after I signed the receipt of furniture he then said «That’s it?» I said «yup» and he said «are you sure?»… He was expecting a tip!!! Omg. I have lived in Vegas all my life and honey we earn our tips around here.
Never ever buying from Big’s again.

Wow, do not buy furniture here if you want it delivered in your lifetime. We were told 10 – 14 days and it ended up being 9 – 10 weeks for delivery! Of course on the receipt it says delivery can take a minimum of 4 weeks for ‘special orders’. Every time I called (abt once per week) I talked to a different person who had no idea what was up with our order and they told me they would call back with more information which never happened! They also refused to give a refund. The lack of customer service is outstandingly abysmal. They have no concept of treating customers with respect. If they had told me from the start delivery would take several weeks this review would be different. It’s that easy! I am happy with the bedroom set we bought for the price but I should’ve spent more at a more respected furniture store. Very bad job, Bigs!

Bought a loveseat from them took 2 weeks to arrive. Polite delivery guys set it up. A++

I read the reviews for Big’s and most talked about their sales experience not being the best. I felt comfortable going forward, because the truth is I didn’t want crappy furniture more than I cared about if the person was nice to me. So I listened to my own instinct and lucked out with both. Talen Guzman, my sales rep at the location on Tenaya was not only attentive, but suggestive and helpful as a sales person could ever be! He helped with matching ideas and he walked with me when I needed him to, but let me wander when I wanted to. There was no long drawn out paper work and he helped out with a few discounts here and there based on the amount of furniture I was purchasing all at once. He was great! I had a long day and stopped there after work thinking I’m going to be wandering for hours and tired and pick any old thing and regret it, but he helped move things along and I really appreciate him.
The delivery didn’t take very long, they always called and followed up and were very courteous. And the quality of the furniture is what I really love! It’s good quality strong furniture. The dining room set is amazing and the chairs are sturdy and level. The table is beautiful (see my other furniture store review — eh). So sorry others didn’t experience what myself and Stan G experienced but I will be going back for more!

We ordered a chest and a sectional with an estimated delivery date in about 2 weeks. It took around 3 for all 5 pieces to arrive and get delivered. We didn’t have any issues in the store except for the fact they claimed to have free delivery and would take our old couches. Day of delivery the «box wasn’t checked for pickup of old couches» so they wouldn’t take them. I called to see wth happened and I was told it would be $ 100. Outside of that single issue, everything was great. Couches are in working order and still have found any hidden damages yet.

This location is horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We ordered our kids furniture here and I must say, our salesperson should get 5 stars but there’s no way I can separate that rating. Once our furniture made it to Big’s they set up delivery. Delivery day came, my time slot passed. I called Bigs. Turns out, the truck my furniture was on broke down and they didn’t even call to tell me. So then, we had to wait for next available delivery. FINALLY, they were able to deliver our furniture. The 2 guys they sent to my home assembled both my kids beds and a dining room table. First of all, the guys hardly spoke any English. It was very hard for me to understand them. Next, they got the boxes upstairs and they broke a very sentimental, irreplaceable picture frame and didn’t even bother to tell me about it. One guy assembled my Daughters bed. Half of it was correct but the storage drawers that were under the bed wasn’t even the correct piece so he forced the wrong piece and ended up cracking the frame and left a huge gap like as if I wouldn’t notice. The other guy who assembled my Son’s bed assembled the bed with the drawers against the wall so we weren’t able to open or close the storage drawers. The bed is reversible, you are able to assemble drawers on either side. It doesn’t take a genius to know which side the drawers are on in my Son’s room. Then, they both come downstairs and expected me to sign the paper stating that I was satisfied with the furniture and setup so they can go on with their day. They didn’t understand why I was making such a big deal about it. I mean I only spent $ 2,000 on everything, they only assembled the furniture incorrectly, made a mess in my house and broke stuff on my walls… No big deal. I went back to Big’s the very next morning to complain about everything. The ladies in customer service were very polite. Christina went ahead and re ordered a brand new bed with the correct pieces. Then, delivery day comes for bed #2. Guess what… Bed #2 comes out of the boxes damaged. The headboard had a huge crack in it and not able to assemble. Those 2 guys that came to my house left my house with the storage drawers that go under the bed standing in upright position so that if my daughter would have went into her room it would tip over and smash her to death. HUGE safety hazard. I also had to schedule a different set of guys to come and fix my Son’s bed that was assembled on the wrong side by the 1^st guys who came out. They were rude, they didn’t want to fix it, complained about it the entire time. Finally, my Daughter’s #3 bed was delivered weeks later. By this time I’ve already been making payments on a damn bed that I didn’t have and they did NOTHING about it. What kind of customer service is that?! I will never step foot into this furniture store ever again nor will I ever recommend to anyone! I’m not sure what I’m more angry over. 1.) irreplaceable items that were broken in my home 2.) rude customer service 3.) broken/​unsafe furniture 4.) making payments on furniture that was broken, wrong or incomplete. BIG mistake!
Left the store a happy customer and very happy to have had the salesman that assisted me.
I was promised delivery within 7 – 10 days since none of the items I purchased were special order items. I contacted them frequently as to the status of my furniture and repeatedly was told «I will call you back in an hour.» Of course no once calls back. Several days pass and I call again. I was told that the items that were available on the day of purchase are being shipped to their store and the items that were not available on the day of purchase had already been at the store. After being put on hold again, the story is that the items that were available at the store had gotten «dirty» so I would need to wait for them to drive to California and pick up another. She did end up scheduling a delivery date and I was given to options for delivery (either 10−2pm or 1−6pm).
Delivery day finally comes and I just knew when I woke up that morning, my items would not be here. I called the store promptly at 2:00. The woman I spoke to said that she was unable to reach the delivery driver, but was told «I will call you back in an hour.» As expected, no return call! I waited 2 hours and called back and spoke to a different woman. She said they would arrive in an hour (3 hours past the expected time). She called me 45 minutes later and said they would be there in 30 minutes. 45 minutes pass (nearly 4 hours after they were supposed to deliver), and I called her back and demanded to just get my money back. As I was talking to her, the delivery truck pulled up. I was beyond furious, as my entire day was wasted.
The deliverymen were very nice and quickly assembled my daughter’s bed, but I will never again deal with them. I had hoped to buy a beautiful dining room set that was on display at the store, but it’s not worth the stress of wondering when and even if, it will ever show! They seem very disorganized and unconcerned about the needs of their customers.

I got a call two days ago, and the furniture is still on back order. «Another two weeks «. I wont hold my breath. I will be demanding my money back this weekend.
6÷15÷15 Still no furniture. I didnt go on memorial day weekend because we had an impromptu trip to California. Here is their BBB review for those interested

I have just read most of the reviews about Big’s Furniture.
I’m wondering if I went to the same store as the others. I have bought a few pieces from them. The sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful especially KATHLEEN.
AS far as follow-​up on furniture orders, ASHLEY, is second to none. She checked on a non-​stock order for me and not only did she promise to call back at a certain time, (which she did), she also told me when the furniture would be in their store and that they would call to schedule delivery as soon as it’s was available.
Their prices are very good compared to other furniture stores in LV
I am so sorry the others haven’t had good experiences at Big’s, but as far as my experiences go, I’m a fan and will be recommending them as much and whenever I can.

I would give zero if I could, these people have the WORST customer service I’ve ever had to deal with, the prices are not worth the BS you have to go threw with this company. No one answers the phone, no one calls you to tell you your order is ready to pick up or deliver, they do NOT put together furniture for you they leave it on your floor to assemble yourself. I spent a lot of money here and bought an entire living room and dining room of furniture for my new house, and got ignored, lied to, hung up on, etc. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

Not happy at all… We purchased our dinning table and 2 extra Parsons chairs. The table itself was great, very durable. The 2 extra chairs were not delivered at the same time, when I called to see why… the rep said it might had been delayed by manufacturer, then I called a few days later to follow up… Guess what!!! All of the sudden the Parsons chairs are discontinued. If I wouldn’t of called, they wouldn’t of called to advise me. Bad customer service! Then I called to replace my chairs, it’s been almost 2 wks and still no chairs! Each time I call no one has an answer or I am «to get» a call back, yeah right!!!
The sales persons should of made sure the items were all available and of course to be delivered at the same time. That’s the deal. He was good but the rest of the experience was bad even with the finance company, (Crest) it’s supposed to be «90 days same as cash», but they want their money like in 30 days. What’s the point?
My problem is the communication from their service department, they don’t call to follow up at all. They have a voice message each time I call.

Worst place I have even bought furniture. Once they have your money you’re a non factor they told me 7 to 10 business days to get my daughter’s bed.
Then I heard nothing from them for weeks. So I called them only to reach a message that said no one was avaible to leave a message except the mail box was full and I couldn’t. Then when I finally reached someday after days of trying. They told me the bed was on back order until march 15^th because its being discontinued. When I came back to the store and spoke to the manager he told me I could reselect another bed but of course after all the frustration I just wanted my money back. He tells me 7 to 10 business days to have my money refrunded (not surprised) never once did anyone nor the mamger apologize for the lack of communication or inconvience. Bigs Furniture more like BIG DISSAPOINTMENT!!!

BEWAREEEEE! DON’T GO HERE!
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I would never recommend this furniture store to anyone even my worst enemy. Customer service is horrible! You pay thousands of dollars for furniture that arrives and is broken by the delivery guys. I ordered over 2000.00 worth of stuff and for one didn’t arrive at the specific date, then it was scheduled for a six hour window, and the drivers were an hour and a half late. Then they rushed to put everything together… only to have them break the merchandise when it was out together by the their delivery guys. Next, they put multiple damages into my house from being careless and trying to be fast cause they were extremely late. They put knicks and scratches on my merchandise and when brought up to their attention, they took out a black sharpie and colored in the knicks and scratches! I took pictures of all the damages, then contacted the store. The managers refused to take my calls. I dealt with Linda, January, and Mariah. All of whom was not able to do anything for me. After two weeks of waiting for my replacement items because day after day, false promises were made and guarantees were broken, I just about had it. I went to the store to get my full refund and of course the manager Eli, refused to give me my full refund because the broken merchandise was at my house. They are trying to charge me a 15% restocking fee for broken items. Nonetheless, I am disputing with my credit card company and will recieve my full refund. They sent their truck to pick up the broken items and I am taking my business else where! I SUGGEST YOU DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. the BBB has them rated with an F. Too many complaints and not handled properly. You get what you pay for… In this case, is rather go to walker to get the sane items for 200.00 extra than deal with these people every again! Save yourself time and stress and money… Don’t buy anything from them. They’ve been reported to Visa and are on the list to be removed from the capability of using Visa!!!
