Call 4 Handyman

I called Pete out to replace track lighting, living room fan, kitchen lights, new pull down faucet, install a new RO system, garbage disposal, over the range microwave, and hook up the dishwasher after we put in new tile and kitchen cabinets. He called and texted me all through the process, returned my calls and text messages promptly. Pete was very professional and so was Eddi his assistant. They even went to Lowes for me to buy some missing parts that I had forgot I needed to complete the installation. Thanks Pete! A+++ service

He was reasonably priced when we needed a new water heater and came out right away. No issues.

Good and honest guy. Came to my place to put laminate and remove the carpet, did excellent job for a good price.

Just called to find out an hourly rate because I have a bunch of odd jobs to do. He says that he doesn’t quote by the hour or that if I insist that it’ll be $ 95/​hr. Fine. Most important item that I have to do is to install a toilet seat bidet. He quotes $ 75 for the job. Then I mentioned that it is pretty easy — just replace a toilet seat, make a couple of water connections and plug it in. He gets all nervous and I try to explain to him what it is and he doesn’t seem to understand as his English is poor. Then he just says — sorry I can’t help you.

A bit pricey, but they did an excellent job. They started the work (s) the same day they scheduled me for a quote. They worked on my ceiling fans and base molding. Would definitely call this company again to do some more work in our new house, but I hope they give me a better price since it will be a very long honey dew list.

I recently had these guys do some work on our new home. We needed a half bath completely redone as well as some painting and minor repairs. Pete responded quickly. Came out and gave me what I thought was a very fair quote for the work. He scheduled the work to be completed in 2 days.
When they started working they discovered that a floor that was to be replaced with tile had unexpectedly been glued down. This slowed them down a bit and caused some extra work for them. He still finished the work on time and kept to the original quote even with the extra work.
My wife and I are very happy with the work and guess who we will be calling to work on our old house when we turn it into a rental.

Pete and Shay are amazing guys! After a month of searching, I hired them to replace my sliding patio doors with french doors. I contacted Pete who took down my info and within a hour Shay got in contact with me to get more details on what i wanted and when I wanted it done. They addressed all my questions in a timely manner and always kept in contact with me. Within days they were able to come to my home to do the job and it came out fantastically. As a first time homeowner, I searched high and low for a cabinet and vanity maker in the Henderson area.
Pete and is company was a great find. Firstly, the service was top notch. Pete, the manager, was very responsive from the beginning, patiently absorbing what I envisioned for my apartment. He kept in touch with me throughout and gave me updates on a timely manner. What I liked best was that he was detail-​oriented on my behalf.

Admittedly, I am probably the LEAST handy person around, so I always need someone to come and help me whenever something goes wrong at my house. Call 4 Handyman was a great choice! They were unable to come out on the same day (a Saturday) but it wasn’t an emergency job, so we made an appointment for Monday. They gave me a call to let me know when they were about 20 minutes away, and the job was completed within 2 minutes. The price was more than fair as well! I will definitely save their number and use them for any and all of my home repair needs!

You call and make contact, he says i’ll call you back in 30 mins… that was 4 days ago.
He doesn’t respond to email or voicemail. UGH. Good thing I didn’t wait for his call back. Can’t recommend someone who makes promise and doesn’t follow through.

Finally handyman that know how to work! They did my floor, wallpapers, kitchen cabinets electric and plumbing! Did no mistakes and didn’t take long. Price was more than fair. I’m happy with their work and will recommend them to my friends.

Long story short: HIRE THIS MAN, ASAP.
My wife and I recently purchased a 2bdr/​1bath in Henderson, Nevada. It was in need of a complete facelift. We fo und Pete on Unilocal and after meeting with him in person, we decided to hire him.
We are SO GLAD we did.
Over the course of our renovation, Pete proved himself to be a trustworthy, professional, and meticulous craftsman. Time and again, he went above and beyond the call of duty, to ensure my wife and I got precisely what we wanted.
Ok. Let’s get specific.
Pete gutted the bathroom from floor-​to-​ceiling, installed new fixtures, new geometric wall tiles, a glass shower door, and new flooring (this included both tiling and leveling the existing concrete floor). Aside from the beautiful job he did on the s urface, what we most appreciate is that he even took it upon himself to identify some problematic plumbing that existed within our walls, and replaced it all with brand new piping, averting a possible flood in the future. He didn’t do it to leech more cash from us. He did it because he has integrity. It’s a good demonstration of Pete overall work.
Pete cut a section of wall away in our den and installed beautiful French doors.
Pete retiled our kitchen floor, added new tiling to the backsplash and walls, and installed new saddles to separate the raised kitchen area from the hallway. Again, perfect execution.
Pete and is team replaced an old circuit-​breaker and installed a brand new one, with modern switches for easier flipping.
Major electrical work wa s done throughout the apartment as well. Sockets were move around, walls were cut into to move wires around internally, track lighting was installed in e ntry hall, high-​hat lighting was installed in corridor, and all new fixtures were installed throughout. Our apartment is over a 15 years old so there were some hiccups, but Pete navigated around them like a pro.
Short of listing the actual price for all of this work, I will only say that Pete charged us a very competitive price. It was just the right price for the work he completed. Again, work ethic. He doesn’t nickel and dime you.
In conclusion: the final product Pete delivered exceeded our expectations. Pete and is team professional, transparent, and warm nature made the entire experience feel like a friends was executing the work.

We were about to get a new dryer installed, when my husband found out that the tape connecting the vent attachment to the duct had ripped. He was hoping to do the simple fix of just taping them back together himself, but the duct was mostly behind the drywall, so there was no way to get at it w/​o going through part of the wall.
According to my husband, he’s great at taping things together, but with drywall cutting/​repair involved, it was time to call in a professional! Luckily, I saw Mel C’s recommendation and trusted his judgement.
We had seen dryer vent boxes that recess into the wall, and figured that’s what we needed, so we asked Pete to install one of these. He came out the same day we called, looked with a flashlight into the area behind the wall, and noticed there was a wall stud extremely close to the vent. He said it would be no problem to install the dryer vent box, but depending on what was behind the wall, could run $ 300-​$ 400, and would look very nice when installed how we wanted.
That was a little pricey for something that’s going to be hidden by a dryer for as long as we live here, so we asked Pete if there was a cheaper fix that was still safe (i.e., would give a lasting airtight seal for the vent), that didn’t have to look quite as good. Pete said there were a couple other potential fixes, like cutting a square of drywall and then patching it, or that Home Depot might have some smaller box or other item that would let him do it, and that he would go look what they had. Pete said he could likely do a cheaper fix for around $ 200, which we were happy with.
Pete came back the next day, cut out the drywall, bolted the vent to the attachment with screws, then taped the vent so it was airtight. It ended up looking like this after he patched the drywall, more than good enough to get the job done:
Best of all, as we were ready to hand over $ 200, Pete said he was only charging us $ 165 for the job! Timely, knowledgeable, efficient, polite, professional, creative, and trustworthy, which are all the things that add up to a great handyman.

This post is a little late as Pete worked on my condo over the summer (sorry Pete!). I have a rental unit in Henderson. I had recently evicted my tenant and was desperate to find someone trustworthy to repair my condo. I had read some reviews on Unilocal and saw Pete had some wonderful reviews.
He came over to the condo and I explained what I needed done. I needed some painting, the carpet removed, and the baseboard replaced. In walking the condo with him, he showed me the drywall in the bathroom needed to be repaired and I needed to have some holes patched in my walls. He gave me a very fair estimate for everything that needed to be done.
A few days in to the project, he called to say he found some leaking pipes. He took pictures of the areas, gave me a quote to fix them, and he took care of them for me. I hired a carpet guy to come lay the carpet. The guy gave me a quote for what I was looking for. Pete was able to find another carpet man, get me a better price, and oversaw the project for me.
He was straightforward with me from the get go. He fixed what I needed to get fixed and pointed out some other issues that needed some attention. Did I mention i live in the San Francisco Bay Area? We did most of our business by phone or text.
I really appreciated the fact he could be trusted. My potential tenant told me the unit looked great when she went to look at the condo. The carpet was nice and everything looked brand new! That really says a lot about him.
I will definitely call Pete for anything else I need to have done!

Called the handyman & mentioned that we had a shower head leak. He said he would call in a couple of hours to stop by for a quote. He never called, not even to notify me he was running long on current job or to at least reschedule. End of story.
Part 2 of this review: after posting a 1 star review, Pete contacted me right away to address the miscommunication that apparently occurred. He responded right away after the above paragraph, showing that he values every one of his customers. Pete is going above & beyond, striving for 5 star service.
Part 3 of review after service: Pete showed up as promised and fixed the plumbing issue, charging a very fair price. I’ll be recommending him to family & friends.
