History

Established in 1987.

As with most established businesses in Las Vegas, Charleston Antique Mall has a long and interesting history. Almost daily we get the opportunity to hear stories from customers who come to our current location to find treasures and share memories of previous visits and create new memories.

Las Vegas residents and visitors from out of town who have been shopping here for a long time will tell you that Charleston Antique Mall got its start as The Red Rooster in 1987. The Red Rooster was a two-​story building on Western Avenue just east of Interstate 15. The building itself was reminiscent of an old barn and was filled with antique and collectible goodies waiting to be discovered.

Neighboring The Red Rooster was the old 7-​Up Bottling factory building that had been built in the early 1950’s. Opportunity Village had purchased that building at 307 W. Charleston Blvd. in 1977 and sold it to a private owner in 1992. The Red Rooster was expanded into this building at that time

Walk down memory lane one of the highlights of my visit to Las Vegas. Wish I could have bought a lamp I found but didnt have room in luggage and airline probably would have broken it :(

We needed more time! I went with my 21 year old and it was a blast. Teaching her what all the retro things of my youth were for and guessing what some of the really old antiques were used for. We needed another hour at least. Great stuff!!! Can’t wait to go back!

Just moved to Vegas from L.A. and I was looking for flea markets or antique places to shop around in. I go to these types of places wherever I travel to, and the Charleston Antique Mall got 4 out of 5 stars, so I was excited. But this place is GARBAGE. Everything in it is junk from yard sales. All the jewelry is fake, nothing is older than from the late 70s, and the employees were terrible. A woman helped me who had no idea how to use the keys to open the cases, then yelled at me after I told her 5x what I wanted to see, yet she opened the wrong case… AGAIN. Honestly, this place was so bad, I’d suggest you go to the World’s Biggest Gift Shop instead.

Such an awesome place to explore and exactly what my wife and I were looking for… As soon as I walked in I found a vendor case full of vintage superhero memorabilia which is what I wanted! Didn’t find much more of it throughout but it sure was fun looking! There is something here for everyone.

When I get visitors from out-​of-​state, the Charleston Antique Mall is where they want to go, and then the casinos. We shop for hours and when we find things we remember from our childhood, we start to reminisce about the good old days and «how mom used this» or «I had one of these». We have lots of fun. Living in Vegas, I get to shop at least twice a month, unless I have visitors, then I get to go more often. I hope I get visitors at least once a week in 2016.

After hearing about the Charleston Antique Mall for months, I finally had a Saturday that I could lost in this store. I spent about two hours going through. Everything is nicely arranged in the booths. However, there is a severe lack of assistants. If you wanted to look at something in a case, good luck.
I grew up antiquating with my parents, and the majority of my house is full of antiques. I would reckon to say that many of the items in this store are not antique. There is a wide range of prices between booths on the same items. A Pryex dish may be $ 15 in one booth, and then $ 40 in another. Same design, etc. There is no consistency.
I went back a few weeks after my initial visit to give it another chance. No new stock. Still the same old with service.

I normally don’t like going to antique shops because ‘antique’ usually translates into ‘$$$’ but this place is not that at all. Depending on the item, I saw things range from $ 4, into the thousands. But I felt like nothing was overpriced and even bought some things. This store is A LOT of fun; even if you aren’t buying anything it’s seriously so much fun to just look at all the old things.
My only suggestion is wear comfortable shoes and try to go a couple of hours before closing time. This place is HUGE and every area is filled with hundreds of items. You will walk a lot and every step will be worth it LOL. And I say get there early not because they’ll kick you out right at closing time (because they won’t), but as a courtesy to them! :)

Very tidy and nicely arranged with all the boots. The shop assistans were helpful and called the owner of a dress I liked and got down the price for me even! It is not super cheap but that time is over everywhere, I think. People here have found the old gems for you– which is nice as I never find anything at thrift stores or flea markets myself

This is a boring store where every other booth is the same… glass, knick-​knacks and more glass. Not to mention the prices are high. Stuffy staff too. Not worth the trip.

Went yesterday 6−28−15 around 1pm. I love this place. I come here at least once a month to see what is new. The staff and vendors I’ve came into contact with have been nothing but nice. I always find a treasure or two here! Check this place out!!!

We stopped in today and really enjoyed this place.
There are many individual dealers selling everything from lamps to vintage furniture and toys.
The staff are really helpful.
We found great ideas for the garden and I saw items to buy for gifts.
I found three small bedside like tables to buy. We have to pick up sofas today so we did not finalize anything today.
There are many sellers who have good vinyl records.
Prices I thought were reasonable. Even 1800s dressers and chairs were not so high as to be prohibitive.
The u turn going east at Alta Drive is pretty nutty so just turn left if you must on Decatur before the light at Alta. some ditzy woman almost creamed us with her right turn from hell.
We will definitely be back soon.

Lots of unique items. Very friendly staff and a huge display of antiques! If you’re just looking or looking for a rare item for yourself or a friend, this place is perfect! Always free coffee and cookies=) If you like an item you can have the cashier assign you a number that way you can enjoy your shopping experience to the fullest! Always a good time, however the OLD Charleston should not have moved so soon as they tore down the building and didn’t do anything with the land property. I miss the old «classic» atmosphere.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon. There are lots of booths containing curated collections. Victorian furniture, midcentury housewares, random knickknacks, and more! You name it, they’ve got it!
Some of the prices were inflated, but there are some good buys to be had.

I freaking love this place!!! I have been shopping here for 20 years. It used to be downtown by the old bread Bakery off of Charleston. The new building is not as rustic, but it is still packed with all kinds of goodies. Recently I found the most adorable puzzle box for my granddaughter that was carved out in the shape of a puppy. It’s very cool. She loved it. I can spend hours just browsing through the different little sections.

They tell me that The Charleston Antique Mall was voted «Best in Vegas» and I can see why! Although I’m a big fan of all things mid century modern, I don’t normally get too excited about antique malls because of my limited patience and shopping stamina but whenever my mother visits, it’s become tradition that we come here. I’ve only been to about 3 other antique malls in town and although they all have their attributes, it really seems that this one has hit the sweet spot for a good selection of quality items and for the most part (depending on the booth), good prices. I also appreciate the staff who are very friendly and eager to help. If it was closer to where I live, I might visit more often but I’m sure that every time mom is in town, we’ll be back!

You could spend a whole day in the Charleston Antique Mall and still not see everything they have to offer. They have your basic antique genre fare, but since this is Las Vegas, they also have many LV themed items. Looking for Liberace’s telephone, or Elvis’ toupee? Well, you just might find it here. Sacrilege I say, Elvis never wore a wig.
The cashiers were very friendly here and the bathrooms were clean. There was only one grumpy booth owner that scolded a couple from touching things in his stall. Other than that, everyone was happy to help and answer questions.

This place isn’t too shabby. The people who work here are very friendly and we always get greeted when we come in. The layout is a little confusing though. Some parts are lined up in blocks and some parts are not. You kind of forget which direction you are headed.
A lot of the dealers come in and take care of their booth. They will talk to you, they are friendly! But this mall seems to be one of the favorites as it’s always a bit too crowded for my tastes, and there is always a lot of hipsters that shop here in their ironic glasses and clothes and jacked up hairstyles.
If you see something you like, don’t be afraid to ask if the dealer can give you a better price. 9 times our of 10 they will easily give you 10−15% off.

I pop in here on the weekends every few months to see what’s new– or not, seeing as this is an antique mall. Though there are different «booths» like a flea market, the store has an organized and well-​styled feel.
You can find several different decades, styles, and kitchy brands represented here, from Hawaiian tiki to vintage Coke and Pepsi merch, tons of old school Disney, 70s and mod décor accents and mannequins, and more. There are themed areas like country chic, wild western, and frilly grandma-​styles you expect to see in an antiques store.
By far my favorite items are furniture and jewelry– rustic modern and art deco engagement rings being my main targets when I’m on the hunt. I love that the majority of the items here are well-​curated and displayed to sell. There’s less junk and niche collectibles and more quality finds here than at other similar places.
