Dream Racing Las Vegas Driving Experience

For those who have always wanted to know how it feels to floor it in a sports car, this is the place! Being at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a bonus. For first-​timers, it can be intimidating when you first arrive with the throaty exhaust, the adrenaline rush and the sheer speed on the track. But you will be comforted by a pleasant staff and an instructor who will ride along and give you tips along the way. It was great to set up our group event with Jordan Payne!

Drove the Ferrari 458 and the Ferrari 458 GT. Amazing experience, friendly staff, professionally run operation. Highly recommended!

What a incredible experience! The staff and instructors were over the top helpful… the F430 was a blast… you have to do this!

The actual racing is no question a 5-​star experience that you owe yourself at least once. I’m not even a big car guy, but it’s definitely a one of a kind rush that leaves you wanting more. See further description after my minor gripe below.
The ding down to 4 stars was really for a lack of efficiency in processing and framing of expectations. When you’re in Vegas you usually have limited time. So when they urge you to be there on time only so you can just hurry up and wait, it kinda stalls the excitement. We were also told we’d be done by 12:30 when in actuality we were done closer to 2:00 which screwed up coordinating with the non-​daredevils on this trip.
Now with that out of the way, here’s the good part.
While you’re waiting for everyone in your flight to get processed, they offer complimentary beverages and snacks. They also allow you to upgrade and/​or change things up a bit. I actually took the opportunity to have 3 warm up laps with a new Corvette Stingray for $ 100, which proved to be a great value. The theory was that you can only learn so much about the track in the simulator, and you want some actual track time to feel the weight of a real car before you race the really bitchin’ ones. The 18 minute movie and simulator laps were quite helpful especially with a tech sitting right next to you and telling you how to do it like the pros. Nothing can prepare you like actual track time though. The 3 laps in the Corvette went by like that, but at least I got to build up my chops a bit before the Lamborghini Huracan.
Speaking of the Huracan, I highly recommend it. It is such a nimble and responsive vehicle. One of my buddies did a McLaren and the other did the Lamborghini Aventador, which cost more. I had the record in our group on the straitaway at 131 mph, and I think it was mainly because of the fact that I could come out of the corner quicker and with more stability than the bulkier Aventador. My crew guy told me that 134 mph was the fastest he’d seen. One of the key features of this venue is a big enough track to hit those speeds.
There are also plenty of turns of different angles to test your agility skills. The crew guys riding shotgun were both awesome giving you the play by play in the mic. «20% gas through the turn, 40%, 100% go! Shift up… up again. Hit the breaks! Let off the brakes through the turn, 20% gas…» SUCH A RUSH
I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who remotely likes fast cars. I highly recommend splurging and go for 10 laps in a quality car after 3 laps in a practice car. 5 will go so fast. Even 7 laps I did in the Lambo just flew by even after the 3 laps in the Vette. It takes a bit to get comfortable flying around those turns, so don’t scrimp for this once in a lifetime experience.

Enjoyed five laps Porch 911 plus 5 laps Ferrari F430 Scuderia x 2. My instructor JT was outstandingly professional. Yes, I had driven a paddle shifting supercar before but never like this. Flawless experience. Rare combo of excitement plus learning something. This business is running in top form. Bravo! Bravo!

F**king incredible! That’s the only way I can describe it. I did the Huracán 5 laps plus 3 warmup laps in the C7 Vette Z51 (100% worth the extra $ 100 — you get a great feel for the track before you kill it in a higher end car). The instructor with me absolutely pushed me further than I could ever have expected and the experience was surreal. They put you right into track mode for the ultimate driving experience.
I highly recommend that beast of a lambo or the race car if you feel up to it. Just watching the Ferrari f430 racecars out there you could tell it was much faster than the already insanely fast super cars.

Fantastic time driving around the track in the Porsche GT3! The session started with pickup at City Center. Arriving at the track we all hand over our license for review and sign waivers. Next we are made aware of our car selection and options to switch, then brought into watch a 15 minute training video. Video is helpful for the basics of how to handle the vehicle and visualizes gas/​brake options from Birdseye view. Next we are on the simulators for about 10 minutes, this part is not mandatory but super helpful to ‘see’ what the track will look like while driving. After simulation we set off to the track and are paired with our teachers. Next suits and helmets go on and we settle into the cars and are off. I loved how content my driver was with me not being a speed fanatic! I had a great time pushing my own limits of speed and 90 degree turns while making progress each lap. This was a fantastic experience that functioned like clockwork!

I have been dreaming of driving a sick car for years! Finally got to Vegas and tried the Lamborghini GT Super Trofeo!
The cars, people and track was super nice! Recommended for anyone who loves cars or just want to piss of your twin brother.

The staff is excellent. The instructors are patient and really know what they are doing. My friend and I had a great time celebrating his 50^th birthday. One nice thing they did was my friend was too tall for the Lamborghini Gallardo so they quickly prepped another car for him to drive. Also, if you are worried about driving a powerful super car, the simulator training prior to driving really helps.

What an experience! For my birthday my wife surprised me with a trip here. I have to say it was probably the best birthday gift I’ve ever received.
They make sure you’re thoroughly prepared with a quick video and then a few laps on their simulators of the course (which your own personal instructor assists you with the proper techniques).
After that we went to the track and got in the car. I drove the Ferrari 458 italia gt and it was an absolute monster! I’m very glad they had an in car recording I could purchase afterwards, since I had so much adrenaline pumping through me while racing my memory is a little blurred haha.
Tips for future drivers:
You must completely trust your instructor to get the full experience, the car handles so well that you have to constantly push your boundaries of what you typically deem as safe since you will feel an epic amount of Gforce throughout the course.
Also if you can afford it, I HIGHLY recommend choosing one of the race cars instead of the street cars, because only then will you get the true experience and thrill.
No matter what, you will have a great time!

Amazing experience all around! I bought the combo package for my boyfriend’s birthday. It was the best gift idea for my love.
The staff was amazing from the second you walk in the door, to the training, the simulator experience and down on the track. You feel like a true VIP!
My boyfriend was impressed by the professionalism of both the simulator instructor and his behind the instructor — he felt comfortable and felt that the instructor had a lot of confidence in him in hos driving ability.
We will definitely come back — next time it’s my turn!

It was an amazing experience and I recommend it to anyone! They not only have exotic cars, they also have GT race cars. The only place I know that has them. The cars are in perfect condition and everything is done to the 9’s. They make sure you are fully prepared before you get in the car to ensure that you maximize your experience while driving! I will be doing it again for sure!

Bought a package of laps for the husband for a special occasion. Great experience all the way around.
I don’t want to duplicate what others have reviewed so I’ll try to point out things that haven’t been commonly mentioned:
— they can pick you up at your hotel, or you can drive yourself to the track (it’s about 30 min north of the Strip, easy freeway drive).
— if you drive yourself and need a snack or meal before or after, there’s Mo’s Café nearby (find it on Unilocal). Diner type place. Limited hours & early close.
— schedule or call in advance. They try to accommodate drop-​ins, but there are only so many cars and instructors and there are multiple pre-​scheduled guests. So don’t just show up unannounced late one afternoon (like one guy when we were there) and assume you’ll be able to drive.
— non-​drivers can tag along for everything except the actual driving. I had expected to have to sit someplace and wait, but they let non-​drivers follow along for the in-​office instructional & car overview, and go to the trackside location and watch the cars. There’s an indoor air-​conditioned lounge with seating if you get tired of being outside. Free water and sodas.
— It can get super hot in summer, and you’re in a little metal box on asphalt in direct sun, and you do have to wear a driving helmet. So be prepared that you may be uncomfortably hot and sweaty during and afterwards. Drink lots of water.

Wow! What an experience! I took part in a driving experience on Friday and still can’t stop talking about it.
I had planned to get away from Las Vegas strip for a day and asked a few local friends what I should do, and one of them suggested Dream Racing. It has always been a dream for me to get a chance to drive a Ferrari, or any other supercar, and I thought Dream Racing might fit the build.
After some thought, and reading the positive reviews here on Unilocal,I decided to pull the trigger.
I booked a 5 lap experience with the Ferrari F430.
When I arrived at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, I was warmly greeted by the staff. I chose to drive to LVMS, rather than taking City Center/​Dream Racing shuttle because I had a rental car from a prior engagement and was a little more convenient for me. However, if you don’t have transportation, it sounds easy enough to hop onto the shuttle for your appointment.
Once I checked in and signing my life away, I was offered some drinks and snacks. As my experience started, we first headed to the classroom where an instructor gave me an overview of the experience to come. From there, we headed to the simulator. After the simulator experience, we headed out to do the real thing.
Just to keep things short, the experience was awesome! Everyone, from top to bottom, was super friendly and accommodating. The prep and driving experience was mind blowing and fun! And if you are hesitant on giving this experience a try, I would definitely encourage you to do so. You won’t regret it! The experience is a little pricey, but keep in mind that you are getting a whole experience and not just 5 laps in a super car!
5 stars for sure! Dream Racing is definitely an experience for anyone who enjoys cars! It is an expensive experience, but certainly worth it as you are doing something pretty cool. I would definitely do it again. Any tips? If time and money allows, look into spending a little more money for a combo package or additional laps. A very worthwhile experience!

If you’re a petrol head and think Top Gear is, well was, the greatest show on television then this is a place you have to go. The experience starts with booking which was done over the phone and went very easily with the agent answering all questions with patience and humor. Upon arrival you are greeted at the door and made to feel comfortable while waiting for your drive time. Next it is up to watch an 18 minute film on driving technique and the track layout. From there it’s on to the simulator room. Personally I found the simulator to be rather useless as without the feel of the car and the lack of feedback from the controls I found it impossible to stay on the track. My wife was also getting dizzy in the simulator so she had to stop.
Next it’s down to the track which is the real reason for being there. You are given a helmet sock and a helmet. I had to try on several before I was happy. It pays to be insistent with trying on different helmets until one fits properly as a loose helmet can flop down over your eyes during hard braking, which these cars will do beyond anything you’ve experienced with a typical road car. My instructor was Julian who is an actual racer. He was encouraging without letting me get away with being sloppy. The result was some alarmingly quick laps in the McLaren MP4−12c.
I recommend saving up to drive several cars while you’re there starting with the cheaper lower power cars to learn the track. (There are no «cheap» or «low-​power» cars) I started out with the Porsche 911-​GT3 and progressed to the McLaren and then the Aventador. The Cayman probably would have been a better starting point. I also recommend getting there early and going up to the overlook to watch other drivers. Listen to their engines and notice their lines. You can always tell the fast guys by how they come out of the double apex at the start of the long straight. If they are on the gas as they hit the apex and are at full throttle as they swing to the left to enter the straight they are hauling.
There are a few points that would have been nice to have such as lap times and a better video as the in-​car video system in place when I went is shot center of car from behind and looks like Mystery Science Theater 3000 with two silhouettes framed by an overexposed windshield without any telemetry data. They did say they are going to get all new systems. To be honest I’d rather have the telemetry data.
Can’t wait to come back and try a couple of the GT cars.

A fantastic driving experience!
This day out was a surprise birthday gift for my fiancée as it was her 30^th birthday while we were in Las Vegas.
Originally I had convinced her that we were awaiting collection to go to a gun range for the day. Needless to say she wasn’t exactly thrilled at the prospect.
When the gentleman (I believe his name was Wade) collected us and the two other couples, we were whisked of to the racetrack (for free) in the company shuttle bus. He was very friendly and seemed genuinely excited for everyone who was going which was great.
When we arrived, some 10 minutes later we were checked in by the front of house staff who were lovely and very personable.
A quick brief on racing lines, breaking, accelerating etc by one of the instructors was useful and informative without being too much. Fortunately Lucy, my fiancée, has played a lot of Forza on the Xbox so she was already acquainted with the theory side of things.
Next was a few laps on the simulator with your personal instructor. The simulator puts you on an exact, laser measured, copy of the track you’ll be driving on. It’ll help you get used to the course as well as driving a paddle shift transmission. The instructor we had was excellent.
You walk out to the track side and get your picture taken with the cars you’ll be driving and then for the cool bit… going out on track. I didn’t drive any cars so I can’t really say for sure how good it was, but I was told by my partner that it was amazing.
She drove a Porsche 911 Carrera, a Lambourghini Gallardo and a Ferrari Scuderia. On the day I also added a Ferrari 458 Italia which was arranged in short order by the amazing staff.
When everyone was finished we went back to the front desk to collect certificates and to buy any paraphernalia we wanted including photos and in car videos. After which we were given the option to be taken, by their free transfer service, wherever we wanted to go.
It was a dream come true for my partner, so I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who helped make it an unforgettable experience for her. :)

I got to watch these guys do their thing from the starting line! It seems like a very cool package to participate in!
Their instructors seemed very knowledgeable and eager to help.

My bro-​in-​law is a big time car enthusiast and his best buddy hooked him up with Dream Racing.
Upon arrival everyone is required to stop by the registration center. I believe reservations/​bookings were made in advance. The waiting area was pretty classy for car guys. But you can tell this was the real deal with the NASCAR track right outside.
Very cool.
So later we were brought up to an instruction room to review the course and dynamics of braking procedures for the track. Afterwards, got to check out the cars before watching the B-​I-​L take his 5 laps of a lifetime.
First class experience all the way.

My eyeballs were sucked into a black hole the moment I jammed on that brake pedal. Most people will only notice how fast their car can go rather than how fast it can stop. I’m here to tell you, the F430 GT can do it all, and do it pretty damn good.
Selection:
The F430 GT, being the most expensive car to drive, is actually a good value considering the rare opportunity. They do, however, have street/​super cars that are available as well. My friend opted for the GT-​R and I know many people who want to be Tony Stark so you can probably register for the R8. Note that the F430 GT most likely does not have a dual clutch transmission so the ride is not exactly the smoothest between gears. Not that it matters much anyway, but it makes enough of a difference to notice.
Booking:
You may book on their website or via phone. I don’t want to speak on their behalf, but I believe they take walk-​ins too. Credit cards are accepted. You also have the option to pre-​pay for your on-​board video (720 HD) if booking online. Booking the F430 GT allowed us (the driver +1 guest) to have access to the shuttle and lounge snacks/​drinks.
Shuttle Pick-​Up:
On the day of your race, you should show up at the Ferrari F430 GT parked in City Center — Crystals shopping area 1^st floor (if you booked the F430 GT) about 45 minutes prior to your racing appointment. Otherwise, the shuttle is not available for super car reservations (unless you are a +1). You will have to cab or drive yourself to the Las Vegas Motorway.
Check-​In:
You will sign wavier forms that they say are, «so you are not responsible for the car, and we are not responsible for your health/​body.»
Simulation:
I was told that the simulation should only be used as a tool to familiarize yourself with the layout of the track. You can also find a video of their track map online. It did manage to scare me a little though because I ran off the road twice, unfortunately. I clocked 58 seconds on the simulator as my best lap. Is it realistic? Hard to say. It’s more of a game to me than a simulator. The track is accurate, but the specifications on the car and its capabilities are debatable.
On-​Track:
These guys buckled me in. How crazy is that? You get a short briefing before heading in to do the big boy stuff. Start your engine then off you go!
After reviewing the video, I crossed the finish line 5 times as it should be if you paid for 5 laps (in my opinion). My best lap unfortunately clocked in at 1 minute which at the time, felt quick, but in actuality, it was really slow. I have come to the conclusion that instructors give guidance with general race techniques that are not quite the fastest, but easiest to manage. Not saying my technique is better, but freedom of style should be allowed.
After the race, I actually did want to give my instructor a tip, but I was overly-​occupied. At the end of the day, he saved me from under-​steering with good guidance and really tried to get me to push it.

Last minute tips:
Show up for the shuttle on time!
Hydrate. It gets hot in those cars. Especially with a racing suit over your clothes.
If you plan to TIP, have cash ready in your pocket and do not go digging for it in your wallet.
Buy the picture! You won’t want to forget this day. I’m going to tell my future kids about it.
