Growing up on Mexican cuisine in. So. CA. I’ve sampled good and bad and so so. El. Burrito is in my neighborhood and my 3 reasons. I love it are: 1. Very seldom or no waiting for a table. Ever. Excellent food. Totally comfort! 3. Large portions. Even for a leftover guy. 4. Nicest staff… 5. Huge Margarita s My wife and. I visit once a week in. Summer. The. Chili relleno s are as ggo as they get. Any shredded beef dish is wonderful !!! Fried. Ice cream ahhh. Maybe a bit pricey, but worth it.

The service was slow and inattentive, especially considering there were only 3 tables; she forgot my drink and I had to ask for it again after my food came. I had a chile relleno plate and the food was decent and exactly what I would expect from any other Mexican place. The guacamole was delicious and seemed freshly made in house. The prices are quite high for standard Mexican fare. They’ve obviously raised the prices to whatever maximum they think Summerlin markets can bear.

Picked up a to go order for Mom. When I got home my chili relleno was hot they never forget my little bag of chips with salsa that comes with the meal. It’s the best enchilada sauce in town. The noodle soup is hot very consistent. The shredded beef tacos are delicious

This is the perfect location for an intimate date night or family get together. You will find parking very convenient and the food is incredible! I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga and it exceeded my expectations. I had expected something on the smaller side but the portion was more than enough. I can’t get over how delectable it was! The meat was cooked to perfection! I also ordered a mojito which can make or break my decision on where I dine. ;) It was delish and mojito’s are my drink! Yummmmy. I will definitely return soon.

I have been coming to El Burrito since I was a little girl! I love that the business has stayed in the family. The soup with cheese is the best!

Went here for dinner the other night with coworkers. We were all in the mood for nachos and margaritas after a long work week and El Burrito delivered that and more! We added beans and chicken to the nachos(definitely was a must) accompanied by several different margaritas. One thing that stood out above the food(which was delicious) was the service. I literally felt like it was my family serving on me, they treated us like we were their own. Our server Francesca, I believe, and the bartender Nancee recommended the perfect drinks and even got us to order more food than the nachos which we did not regret for a second. I’ve been watching what I eat lately and they accommodated that with«Skinny Girl» margaritas, strong and no sugar! My kinda drink. Don’t listen to the previous reviews– this place is a must try

The soup is good, but the service is poor and the prices are too high. Casa Don Juan just opened and I will be trying them next.

My friend and I were on the hunt for some fried ice cream, the majority of the restaurants near us either closed early or were closed Sunday’s. So we had the choice of eating here or at Coasta Cantina at the Suncoast. Walking in, there was no hostess, she was in the back and emerged to bring another customer her order, when she did acknowledge us, she was very friendly and proceeded to seat us, handed us the menus, and took our drink orders. Their website states they offer happy hour from 8 p.m. to close on Sunday’s, but I can’t confirm since there was no mention of it to us. I took a look at the menu because I was craving ceviche but they did not have any, which was a bit of a let down because all of the Mexican restaurants I’ve visited have it. We just ended up ordering the dessert we originally came for, fried ice cream and also ordered some sopapillos. After we placed our order, the dessert came out around 5 minutes later. We took a look at our fried ice cream and were a bit thrown off. It looked pre-made, it was cold on the outside, no whipped cream, no cherry on top, and the texture was weird, it looked glazed, and came in a cinnamon shell. It was like no fried ice cream we’ve ever had, it’s normally fried before it’s brought out, so it’s warm on the outside, cold on the inside, not here. Now for the sopapillos, they were not thick or fluffy enough, they did have good flavor since they were coated with cinnamon and sugar but it’s a dessert that is very hard to screw up. After we received our order, no one came to check up on us, it took a little while to receive our checks so basic customer service was definitely lacking and there were only two other tables when we walked in. I was really disappointed. Overall we decided on this place because it was smaller and we thought, why not give our business to a mom and pop restaurant instead of a corporate company, but it was a mistake.

I used to eat at this restaurant when it was on Decatur and have always been fond of it. Now that it’s in Sun City Summerlin it’s a little pricey for lunch, but the food is good. The crowd is a lot of seniors so it’s not a party place and it’s American Mexican food but the food quality, portions, service and drinks are all good. Friendly ambiance too.

Possibly the worst mexican place ever. There is a charge for chips after the first bowl. Menu is overpriced. The waitress parks her car right in front. The bus boy parks his motorcycle on the sidewalk next to the windows. The atmosphere is gloomy and outdated. There will not be another visit.

First time here… came in for early dinner on a Friday night. Seated right away. Chips and salsa were delivered right away. Got drinks ordered and food shortly thereafter. Had #7 two cheese enchiladas. Came with choice of soup or salad. Had salad with ranch. Good portion size and good salad. The cheese enchiladas were good but a little bland with flavor. I just used some salsa with it to flavor it up. The salsa was chunky and had good flavor too. Con: the building is old and kinda smells that way. Not sure if it’s the building or all the old people. This restaurant sits at the edge of Del Webb retirement community.

I frequent El Burrito because I love the food they serve, however, after time after time of HORRIBLE service I refuse to go back. Every single time I’ve been to This restaurant it takes a minimum of 15 – 20 minutes for anyone to take our order, and usually there’s only 1 other table occupied in the restaurant. I once waited 45 minutes to receive my check while a waitress sat down at a table and decided to watch American idol auditions. The last straw? I went last week, left a tip on my card. And I just looked on my bank account, they added an extra 2 cents on to my tip. I specifically left a total of $ 30.00 and it was very legible, no room for question. And they had the nerve to add extra money? Absolutely ridiculous. This place should be shut down. I once heard the owner yelling at the cooks in the back saying he wasn’t going to pay them that day. This place is a joke.

First and foremost, the food was great. It really was authentic Mexican cuisine. And you can tell that they use fresh high quality ingredients. You can’t make good food without good ingredients, no matter what the recipe. I love they way they prepare their carnitas! I love their fresh chips too. The service was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I’ll be back for sure.

Tonight we visited El Burrito with my husband and another couple. It looked really dark and empty from the outside, but inside was bright and the booths on the parameter were full. Décor is simple and restaurant is smallish. We got seated in a clean roomy booth by the kitchen. The chips served are warm and thick and crunchy, and the salsa fresh and full of chopped tomatoes, and of a medium heat. Very tasty! Ordered the soup– friends agree while very good, it was rather strange. It’s beef based macaroni soup with cilantro and they add a whole pile of cheese on the bottom. Watching them eat it was like watching them eat pizza– cheese strings! I ordered huevos rancheros, and they were pretty good, a bit watery somehow but the flavor was there with the beans so I’d get them again. Friends got the fajita salad and the beef chimichanga and the portions were huge! The chimichanga beef was perfect, medium rare and tender. She asked for some pico de gallo and the waitress said they didn’t have any but would be happy to make some. It came out fresh, spicy and full of cilantro. The salad was stuffed to the brim with veggies and the marinated chicken was tender. Husband asked for a pork tamale/taco combo not on the menu and they made it without hesitation. He says it was amazeballs… And the tamale was awesome and not dry. Getting a description from him is like puling teeth, so husband, one star. Overall the service was a fast and friendly and the food was all enjoyable. It seems like a place you can frequent and they will get to know you. A quality locals joint for an easy and tasty weeknight meal out at a reasonable price. Group consensus was 3.5 stars, but I rounded up because of the friendly local atmosphere. If you come here with the right expectations you will leave here with a full belly and a smile.

This Mexican place is located on and/or near a golf course??? Possibly a retirement community? That is the clientele for sure. It is kind of like a diner in a Midwest town that attracts the olds to have coffee and eat really bland Mexican food at «that one thar Mex-ee-can» place. The tables have no hot sauce on them. HUH? The menu does not feature burritos. HUH? I had an a la carte chicken burrito that didn’t come with ANYTHING. No salsa. No sour cream. No guac. HUH? I mean, I get that I ordered it a la carte, but not even a dollop of sour cream? Makes you go hmmm. The chicken was sub-standard and didn’t have much of a sauce in it. As I sat there eating it I was envisioning a Chipotle burrito I could have gotten for a dollar less and it would have been a thousand times better. Maybe I should have ordered something different, but for a place called«El Burrito» I was shocked there was not a plethora of burritos to choose from. I say go to Chipotle over this place if you want ELBURRITO. PS — While I was there the US Foodservice truck pulled up and made a delivery. I knew this because he had an employee fill out a form and I watched him get in his truck and drive away. USFOODS you GUYZ. YIKESES.

So this is a family restaurant that has been in Las Vegas since 1969 and has some food options that can’t be found anywhere else in Las Vegas. The nameless, homemade noodle soup with cheese is out of this world. The salsa is homemade and they have two options, one that is hot and one that is more of a chunky salsa, the chips are also homemade and delicious. They also offer lots of different options, with mix and match dinner entrees as well. Bottom line, you will never satisfy everyone on any aspect but I support family run and small businesses not to mention Las Vegas locals. The margaritas also are hand poured and are divine. So try it, trust me, you will like it!

I do enjoy going to mom and pop restaurants because you never know what to expect. The Restaurant has a nice view of the mountains when they open their blinds. I experienced one of those beautiful pink and purple sunsets from my seat. The dinner started with chips, salsa and we ordered a side of guacamole. The guacamole was good… you can tell it was home made! The salsa was also delicious! Then they served me some soup with noodles it tasted like salt water to me. I was hoping my shrimp dish would be something savory but it was more salty then anything .My shrimp was served over a red sauce with some Spanish rice. I could only take a few bites and packed the rest to go. We ended the dinner with some fried ice cream topped with strawberries and chocolate sauce. It was tasty but I think it would have been better if the strawberries were fresh and not in the compote form(syrupy). The environment is cozy but the food was a bit too salty for me.
