Gentle Dental

I left here extremely irritated. I made an appointment for my three year old daughter. The appointment was at 10:00. We arrived at 9:30am and were not seen until 11:00am! Her appointment went very well once she was seen. However my appointment was just after hers and they wouldn’t do a routine cleaning on me because I am pregnant. I have never heard of something so ridiculous. I had a cleaning when I was pregnant before with no problem. Now I have wasted an entire day off of work for nothing.

Wow is all I can say… I can not review the dentist but I can review the staff. I called to make my appointment the first girl I talked to was lovely until I was transferred to Sonya. I have never had front office argue and get upset with a client that is never been in. Rude and abrasive doesn’t begin to describe her attitude. I was placed on «hold». I called back to talk to the office manager she was nice but I don’t feel that they care about customer service at all! So the search continues to find a dentist.

Staff is very nice, Manager Corey is excellent! They actually try to work with you financially & care about your oral health. Definitely recommending to friends & family. Dr. Thresher was very informative & professional. I’m excited with beginning my ortho treatment with this office.

My daughter needed to find a new dentist and I ended up bringing her here at the Gentle Dental, which she was a bit nervous at first which all kids are. The dentist came in and made her feel comfortable and her procedure went very well.

I have been coming to Gentle Dental for about 10 years and over the year’s I’ve seen and met alot of people. Here are just a few examples of great it has been. The people at the front reception area, especially Corey is always so helpful and happy which makes it a better experience. Then there is Caprice, she is the best at everything she does including taking a little time out to see how your family is. Although Dr. Sheikh is no longer our dentist, seeing him is always great. The staff here is excellent and I think anyone who needs work done on their teeth should definitely come here.

I found the office modern, clean and comfortable. Precious did my ex rays and was very thoughtful. I must protest though– in 54 years of life I have never been comfortable with those damned Exray apparatus that gouges the roof and bottom of your mouth. ‘Common inventors– you’ve got to come up with something else!
I saw Dr. Sheik and he was quite personable, considerate and thorough. He gave me a clear treatment plan and explained everything clearly.

Grew up coming to this dentist office and now as an adult I still choose to come here. I used to hate going to the dentist but now when I have appointments I look forward to it because I know I can trust them.
Sonia and Tania are so friendly when you come in at the front desk. Always helpful with scheduling and charging you. Once I needed an immediate root canal and it was already late afternoon but they did what they could by calling all the endodontic offices that could attend me and they made it happen. They make an effort to make sure you are well attend and never have a bad attitude. Customer service is a major thing for me.
I am about to finish up my braces and had a great ortho experience here.
I am not exaggerating when I say that everyone there is amazing.(I also won’t lie and say that another part of me always looking forward to going is because there is a really cute dental assistant there that I’ve been eyeing for a while ;))
Honestly love it here. I always recommend them to friends. Would not know what to do if I had to go somewhere else.

I’ve been going to Gentle Dental for over 10 years and have seen the office staff and dentists change. Caprice (dental assistant) has remained constant and is an attribute to this company. She is always friendly no matter what and gives amazing service every time and does it with a smile.
Dr. Daniel Streifel is a great addition to this location and I am happy to have him as my dentist. I needed a crown replaced and came in 2 different times to get my temporary and then back for my permanent crown. He was friendly, answered all my questions and most importantly on time. I got my new crown in today and was very happy that it went seamless and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
Both my children ages 5 & 7 go to Gentle Dental for their cleanings and check ups and we are thankful to have such a good dentist and dental assistant.

The dentists and office personnel are phenomenal! Very pleasant to work with the office staff. The chair side manners of their dentists are top notch making you feel very comfortable and explaining things very thoroughly. I’ve been in Vegas 20 years and these folks are awesome!

Gentle Dental is the BEST, going to the dentist isn’t one of our favorite things to do. However I have been using Gentle Dental for over 8 years, I strongly recommend this office,
Tania, Sonia, and Coree are great to work with, naturally along with the very fine Dentists and support staff, I thank all of you.

This place was awesome. from the moment I called to make an appointment. to the end. the staff made me feel so great. they were so friendly and explained everything to me.

Follow up: (This is an update from my last review). I believe I’ve been back to the office twice since my review. The staff is much more pleasant.

This was the worst dental experience I’ve ever received. I called two weeks ago and specifically booked a «cleaning». Obviously, since we were new patients, I understood that x rays and an exam would be involved. We arrived 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork and weren’t seen until 20 minutes after our appointment (note — we both took off work this morning to come to this appointment and were told that we were the first appointments of the day so I was expecting to be seen on time). We were taken into a large room where all of the patients are seen together — -very little privacy. The technicians were bickering back and forth — very unprofessional. As I was mid-​x-​ray, the tech told me that I wouldn’t be receiving a cleaning today — today was just x ray’s and a check up and then we’d need to come back another day for a cleaning. This was SUPER disappointing, especially knowing that I had requested a cleaning and both my husband and I had taken off for this very purpose. We ended up leaving then. The front desk manager was not accommodating at all… she didn’t apologize for the fact that we were not getting the cleaning we had asked for… she did not empathize with the fact that we had lost out on money this morning to come to this appointment. She stated that we should «read Nevada law» and know that we needed a check-​up first. Are you kidding me?! We will be following up with our insurance provider and filing a claim so that others will not have to go through the same experience.

I had the worst experince ever today. The dentist are good but staff has NO consideration for patients. I had an appointment for 10:30, I was there at 10:27 am. I was in the waiting room and it was cold so I stepped out to get a jacket, I let the 3 ladies at the reception know I was going and I told them my name in case they called me and I wasn’t there. They all said ok. One was African American, the other was a blonde medium length hair and the other one I think was Asian or Philipino. I was back one minute later and I saw one of the staff members calling this woman who was surprise to be called because as staff said, her appointment was for 12 pm. They said they were going to take care of her. I was just sitting there for 30 minutes and they finally took me to the room and sat me down, I was waiting another 10 minutes and they put some xylocaine with a swab to numb my mouth then the boy doing this said my doctor was the one taking care of the woman who had an appointment for 12pm and it would take a while for him to take care of me. I lost it, I couldn’t believe I was waiting for 1 hour already and probably would wait another 30 minutes before they would even see me. That was really disrespectful. When I ask front office woman to check she came back and said it seemed like they called me and I wasn’t there so they just called somebody else. For God’s sake I was out for 1 minute, what if I went to the restroom??? I signed in at 10:27 am. Why do I have to wait for a person who has an appointment at 12pm to go before me, who had an appointment at 10:30 and was there on time??? Unbelievable!!! I left after more than 1 hour waiting. I called 2 or 3 times later to make sure they wouldn’t charge me for the services, I explained what happened for 2 different people and NONE of them apologize AT ALL!!! I will have to find another dentist after this awful experience!!!

Gentle Dental is as good as it gets! I had a major work done in this office. During my countless visits the staff was always über nice, very professional, and extremely friendly. I always feel truly welcomed. Dr. Sheik’s expertise is really hard to distinguish from the pure art. His attention to details and friendly attitude is cherry on top of the excellence of this office. I recommended Gentle Dental to my whole family and my wife was simply impressed. There is not enough words to express how much we feel lucky knowing these fantastic people.

I’ve been going here for awhile now and I really am loyal to my Dr. Shiek; he’s awesome, very nice, thorough, always has a way to calm my nerves since dental appointments freaks me out, and just plain accommodating. His assistants are always very nice too. I really love the dental staff from the back; reason for one star off are for their recent front desk… ummm they could learn to smile more or atleast greet u when u come in :-/​I’m not sure if she had a bad day, but I work in a customer service industry so it’s definitely something I check wherever place I give my business to. Everything else is great, it’s a very clean place and again the doctors and dental assistants are really nice :-D

if I could give no stars for this location i would. staff never informed me I had a script for an emergency root canal. then when I switched dental offices they refused to fax over my X-​rays to the new dental office. pick another place!!! save your time!

I actually make the trip here once a month for my son’s orthodontics. The trip is about 225 miles round trip for us.
We are VERY pleased with this office. The staff is approachable, informative, thorough, and just plain nice!
I would highly recommend this office.
