This is awesome! We went during the day-​cheaper price. Slow thirty minute ride. Beautiful view of Vegas all around. Music plays in cabin. You can sit or stand.
Some cabins offer drinks. Air conditioned. Wonderful!

We took a ride on the High Roller to end our evening and it didn’t disappoint. The skyline was beautiful and it’s a great way to see the entire strip from the best view possible. This excursion was a gift from my mother & I know she mentioned purchasing them through Groupon because they gave a better deal then going directly through Linq. The open-​bar option, which we did, was super neat. The bartender was also from the Midwest, so he knew a lot about where we were from. He poured three or four rounds of shots for everyone, not including our mixed drinks. They had a wide selection, more than I thought they would, on an individual pod and he kept the momentum up. Everyone was talking by the end of the 30 minute ride and we met some really neat people. I don’t think I would do it again, because once you’ve seen it you’ve seen it, but I would highly recommend!

Since my sister-​in-​law was in town from the Islands, and she wanted to check out the High Roller, so we decided to tag along. It’s great that locals get BOGO, but if you’re not, I’d have to say it’s not worth it then. But if it’s on your bucket list, you should do it just once… like bungee cord jumping or sky diving… should only do it once.
The view was great during the evening hours… Not sure I would recommend going during the day time though.

Tourist trap YES! But so worth going.
Basically it’s a huge Ferris wheel on the strip in Vegas. There’s usually a line out the door to get in but it moves quick; we got thru in 10 minutes. Then up to the bar and bathroom area. It’s a ½ hour ride so hitting the head before is a good idea. They scan your tickets and send you to the next stop. Yup the photo booth — every attraction has one. This one had a fancy green screen. No more details as I opted out.
Moving along, you are corralled into groups to await your pod. Think Jodie Foster in Contact. You enter a big glass (ok plexi) sphere. There is seating for 8 with lots of room to move around to take photos. The ride moves very very very slowly. Mellow music plays flying themed tunes. Monitors detail the climb in elevation. There is an on-​screen host that gives you the rules (don’t freak out if the ride stops, no smoking, camera setting for the best shot, etc) and lots of Vegas trivia. When you hit the highest point of the ride you get the best views — The Eiffel tower, the fountains at the Bellagio, etc. Take a night ride, Vegas glows at night!
Once off the ride, 1^st stop is the photo pick up area. No tourist trap would be complete without the last stop being the gift shop!!!‘
It’s spendy so check GroupOn for deals. Total Rewards members also get a discount so if you’re a member don’t forget to mention it. There is an open bar option but you will pay more.

I’ve been eyeing to go on this Ferris Wheel every since it was built. I’m very happy that I got a Groupon for this because the prices are pretty outrageous for a 30 mins ride. It’s a pretty nice view of the Strip but on the other side it was just blah.
I’m not the kind of person who gets motion sickness but the High Roller definitely made me nauseous because of how slow it was going. Thank god I didn’t puke because it would have totally stank up our pod. Plus there was only the bartender, my bf and me in the pod so I don’t have to worry about embarassment.
Our Groupon was for the pods with an open bar and Reese was our bartender. He was so much fun to talk to and very attentive drink-​wise. He made sure we took advantage of the open bar because the drinks kept coming.
Would I do it again? Hell no. I don’t feel like getting sick again. Was it a fun experience? Yes it was and I’m glad I did it.

Do whatever you can to get a discount. Military, local, or whatever. Just make sure to ask them about discounts. Now on a serious note. Should or should you not get the open bar car or not. If you want to knock a few back, pre-​game, get drunk, etc… Then you need to get the drinking car. The bartenders are really fast and trust me you can do some serious damage during the ride. The cart without the drinks is cool too. Tip… Make sure you have a good place to stand near the strip before you get to the top. Everyone will try to take pics on that side and if you wait too long, you will miss out. The view is only good for 30% of the ride.
Pros — open bar for a good price, something different, location. Parking
Cons — Price without discount, amount of folks in a car.

So finally did it, been in Vegas for 2 yrs. you have to get the open bar it’s great. Our bartender Brett was awesome. He interacted with us and recommended drinks. Shots! Shots! Shots! It’s a great view of the strip.
Our pod didn’t have a lot of ppl which was great! Wasn’t overcrowded. The longest wait we had was waiting for a pod with a bartender. The line to pay was super fast and no wait to get In. Wednesday night I guests slow everywhere. Patron shots woohoo! He made some gummy bear something shouts which everyone was happy with. I’d definitely recommend the high roller next time in Vegas. The ride seemed to go pretty fast but if drinking and talking or taking selfies I guess 30mins is nothing.

Before I started drafting my review, I was trying to think what I could write about, what was my major impression from my High Roller ride. I came up with a few ideas and when I read reviews posted by others on Unilocal I saw a lot of the same comments I was going to make. So, I guess if many people (including me) are saying the same thing, then it must be true to some extent.
Overall, I like the experience. There were no lines. I think it took about 5 – 10 minutes to pick up our tickets, take pictures in front of the green screen, and get in the cabin. We wasted more time when we were trying to use ticket machine outside. Out of 4 machines (3 were out of order). We waited in line to use the only working machine but it actually went offline when people who were right in front of us tried to use it to purchase tickets.
As I said, there were almost no lines which is a huge plans. If you ever visited attractions anywhere in the world, you probably know that you can spend at least an hour waiting in line.
Our experience inside the cabine was alright. There were only a dozen of people inside so it wasn’t crowded at all. I took a bunch of photos with my camera. Unfortunately, there is no 360 degree view at night. You can totally see the strip and certain developed areas of Vegas, but in general the side of the wheel opposite to the Strip is pretty dark and there is nothing really to look at night.
There was a video demonstration during the presentation that I thought was a little underwhelming. Although there was a certain educational element, but I expected to hear much more about Vegas, it’s history, landscapes, attractions, etc.
Somebody said that the ride is «painfully boring». I disagree with this comment, but the last quarter of the ride feels a little slow when there is nothing else to see and everyone can’t wait to get back on the ground. I think it can be fixed with a better video programming or perhaps even different sound track.
High Roller is not the tallest structure in Vegas. There are several hotels that are taller including Stratosphere tower, Trump, Encore, Wynn, etc. Thus if you want to get up high to see the Strip and other areas of Vegas, you don’t have to go on a high roller ride.
The price is okay. It’s Vegas, so you probably going to spend way to much money on things that you don’t need. Therefore spending money on something that you will have long lasting memories about is not a bad thing.
Overall, I don’t regret going there and spending money on the ride. Will I do it again? Probably not. May be I can do a day-​time ride next time because I expect it to be slightly different experience. But I don’t think I will go back for the night time ride. One time seems to be enough.

High roller is SUCH a nice interlude from the hustle and craziness of the strip. It’s like a much needed nap that we never realized we need as babies. It kills crankiness. Plus, if you absolutely can’t live without a cocktail in hand, there are several beverage pods that cater to you lushes.
Prices are very reasonable (except for the typical overpriced photos), but if you have ANY points on your total rewards cards, use them.
I’ve been on this thing both during the day and night, and I honestly think you should try it both times. Views are incredibly spectacular, but soooo different. Amazing perspectives.
Wheelchair? No problem. They are completely equipped to handle handicapped access, which makes it that much more amaze balls.

Check in 1^st for $ 10 off. A good value.
If you see kiosk girl outside you can buy ticket & #bypass line. Same price. Worth it & they aren’t out for long.
I think, having done the (k)night ride®.I would want the day… To see the Mars landscape. I seriously felt I was on Mars.
Drinks are cheaper before you get in.

The High Roller is such a fun experience. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s so worth it. I got our tickets on Groupon which was a great deal. Definitely check it before you get your tickets. We got two evening happy half hour tickets for $ 60 total. Normally, the evening happy half hour tickets are $ 47 so this was a great deal!
Personally, I think you should absolutely do the happy half hour ride and you should definitely do it in the evening. The High Roller takes half an hour to go all the way around and they have separate pods for the open bar (happy half hour) and the regular ones. With the open bar pods you get to drink all the drinks you could ever want, and it’s not the cheap stuff either. It’s top shelf booze and you can get mixed drinks, cocktails or even shots! You can definitely get your money’s worth if you know how to do it. When we went, there were only two other people in our pod which was great! We could move around freely and had no trouble taking any pictures, and we absolutely didn’t have to wait in line to get our drinks!
The view when you get near the top is amazing! You can see the entire strip and it’s beautiful from every side. Be sure to take a few photos when you get to the top. As I said before, I definitely recommend going in the evening. The view is unbeatable and it looks so cool when the strip is all lit up! Definitely put this on your Vegas bucket list!

Oh hell yeah, you’re doing this… and here’s my advice on how to do it the BEST way and even save a little money.
First, you’re going to get yourself a Living Social deal (or Groupon — whoever is offering the best deal that week), because paying full price is for suckers. Get the cheaper alternative when it comes to time — the 12 to 6 PM ticket. BUT splurge and get the Happy Hour option with that ticket. You’ve just saved yourself $ 5 to $ 10 based on the specials running on the site at the time. * I think our tickets were listed on Living Social for $ 31.99 each, but I waited until they offered an extra 20% off so we ended up paying around $ 25 for each ticket — a very good deal!
AND by purchasing the daytime tickets with the HH option, you’ll also save yourself a lot of aggravation. Here’s why:
Most tourists want to do the High Roller at night. So every «cage», including the few Happy Hour ones will be full. Of People. And probably children. Ick. But if you show up at around 5 when it’s just starting to get a little bit dusky, there isn’t a line — especially for the Happy Hour «cage» and your party might end up riding alone — that’s like having a personal freaking bartender!
We LOVED this attraction. It was awesome to see all of Las Vegas splayed out before us with the sun slowly going down. And that awesomeness was helped by a very healthy pour of champagne by a super friendly bartender. You simply HAVE to go here. It’s not to be missed. Even those with heights issues should be calm because they can stay to the center of the cage and the ride is so smooth you don’t even really realize when you’re at the very top of the wheel.
Bartender we had was very friendly and quite forthcoming with the refills (dropping a $ 10 or a $ 20 in the tip jar upon entry will help speed that along). So we had a lovely boozy time. Couldn’t ask for a better Happy Hour. BONUS — right off the High Roller, there are lots of options to keep the Happy Hour going just nearby and across the street.
I highly recommend the High Roller as the way to KICK OFF your designated «fun/​get wild/​sleep late tomorrow» night in Vegas.

I’ve been waiting for this to open up since I first saw them building it! My sister and I were able to make it when they first opened and we were really excited. We bought tickets ahead of time for the evening. There wasn’t many people, but there was a line.
I like that you can see the strip and it even pauses once you reach the top so you can enjoy the view. The pod is huge! It can hold so many people, but lucky for us it was just my sis and I and one older couple. We technically had the pod all to ourselves. I definitely recommend buying tickets and taking a ride on the high roller because you can see such a nice view and take some great pics of Vegas too.

550 feet high on the tallest observation wheel in the world… the High Roller Ferris Wheel in Las Vegas!
Tickets are purchased online or at the ticket counter up front and then you go up an escalator to get to where you will board. As others said it’s best to find a deal online. (Note: they won’t accept online codes at the ticket counter.) Unfortunately me for I bought my tickets last minute and had to pay the full night price of $ 36.95. I am definitely going to buy tickets beforehand in the future but no regrets on the full price because I did enjoy myself that night.
Before boarding, there is a lounge area where you can purchase drinks which start at about $ 10. (Note: for those who do want to purchase drinks, one may want to consider purchasing a ticket with the open bar in the pod because it’s only $ 20 more and a better deal than getting a drink at the lounge area).
I rode the High Roller around close to 11pm at night so got the most amazing view of The Strip. The ride in total is about 30 minutes. You share the pod with others but the pod is huge! I have heard it can fit up to 40 people but if you are fortunate you may just get a pod to yourselves. This is harder to do at night though because night rides are pretty popular. I actually ended up in a pod with a wedding party but it wasn’t crowded at all! There is plenty of room in the pod though regardless if you share with others and lots of space to move around and take pictures! Going there is a video going on that tells you how high you are in increments and once you get close to the peak, the countdown begins.
Reaching the peak is the best part. You really get a full view of all of the Vegas strip and it is absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. From seeing the Eiffel Tower at Paris to the Cosmopolitan to Bellagio. I found myself snapping away endlessly at all the views!
It is truly an amazing experience to ride the High Roller! Picturesque view of Vegas like no other and truly a lot of fun! The High Roller is awesome.

I have rode my fair share of observation (Ferris) wheels around the world. So by comparison, I can say the High Roller misses the mark for the top of my list.
Take the Singapore Flyer for example. Singapore’s observation wheel is situated in a location where a 360° view is visible almost through the entire ride. In addition, the flyer adds a higher element of education to it’s attraction. These two ingredients are missing from the High Roller.
The London Eye, which is constantly crowded, doesn’t provide many amenities, but it is by far the best way to view London and learn some recent and historical artifacts about the city. The location right on the Thames is also premium. Vegas ain’t got the history London does and the location of High Roller does it no justice.
Lastly, the Navy Pier wheel in Chicago. Situated right on Lake Michigan and offset right behind one of the best skylines in America, AND before it closed for renovation, it had a price point of less than $ 10. That sounds like a win-​win-​win situation to me.
I see a lot of Unilocalers griping about the price. This doesn’t make it OK, but the price is commensurate with other high end observation wheels around the world. London Eye is £28, Singapore Flyer is roughly $ 33SGD. Both of the prices are similar given the economy of each respective city.
In general, I’m not excited about the location and views. The Eiffel Tower at Paris Hotel, the roof top at Palms, and Stratosphere all provide better viewing opportunities. One element Vegas is missing compared to other wheels is a body of water. That seems to be a common theme. The price I don’t mind cause I know I only need to do it once. The marketers understand this and charge us appropriately. The all you can drink ride is clutch. For an extra $ 15 you have 30 minutes to get hammered if you accept the challenge. No other wheel around the world offers that. Others may have champagne and wine tastings, but not unlimited alcohol.
I recommend doing it once. I think the daytime is better if you desire to see a panoramic real time view of the mountains, the Mojave desert and the landscape of the city. Nighttime is only ideal for seeing the Vegas lights. All the lights distort the view of the horizon in each direction such that you are limited to sights around the strip and surrounding Vegas city radius.

The price is reasonable for locals, especially the day price before 6 PM ($ 13/​$ 18, day/​night). $ 25/​$ 35 might be considered petty theft for tourists but there’s always a deal going on either the website or on Groupon that might take a little bit of the sting away. Las Vegas’ skyline is unique and I appreciate it. So it doesn’t get old for me and the locals’ pricing is something I can stomach a couple times a year when I go up with visitors. For tourists, this might be a one and done deal just to say you were on the highest observation wheel in the world.
Our last visit was my third time, and the first for many of our party of 10 which included 5 children all under the age of thirteen. The kids under 12 were free. Parking is pretty convenient in the large LINQ lot and if you don’t feel like walking, valet is a couple of feet away from the entrance. Pre-​purchasing your tickets can save you some time because there is a separate line at the entrance for those that have done so. After you grab a beverage at the bar, boarding is easy and once inside, claim the windows on the west side of the pod to get the best views of the Strip.
There were no chest bumps or screams of excitement in the pod from our group, but everyone enjoyed the experience. My 6 year old niece recognized the Ghirardelli sign and made it a point that it would be our first stop after we disembarked. I’m sure we’ll be back on the High Roller again when we have more family visiting from out of town next month.

Got free tickets for happy hour for diamond aspiration from Harrah’s. We came around 10pm on Sunday. There was no line, prior to entering the high roller they take your picture with a green screen.
I would have preferred if they had a fake high roller capsule where we get to stand in, and take a picture. Instead they just put any background with the green screen, didn’t seem special to me, so we didn’t purchase it.
The ride lasts about 30 minutes. When the doors opened, everybody that was lined up for happy hour and as lead into the cabin as quickly as possible. Inside there is a bartender, and bar in the middle.
He quickly checks all our ids after the door closes.
I’m not a drinker, so he happily made something non alcoholic, those that drink alcohol had like 4 or 5 drinks within half an hour. Heard that they have good quality booze too, not just the cheap ones.
The views up here are quite outstanding, except I feel like you can get these views if you stay at a nice hotel on a high floor facing the strip.
The downside is we had about 20 people in our cabin. One side of the cabin has gorgeous views of the strip, while the other side has the city view, and a couple of hotels. So all 20 people are trying to squeeze onto one side to take a glimpse of the strip view. When trying to get a selfie, it’s hard because you have someone next to your shoulder.
Other people would ask you to step aside so you are not part of their selfie.
Since there was no line, I think they could have put like 10 in per cabin and waited for the next one. But hey its Vegas, time = money.
Can’t complain since I got it for free, those that paid, I hope they drank their share of $ 52.00 within 30 minutes.

Beautiful views! This is a must see attraction for all ages when visiting Vegas. The highest point provides a 550 foot photo op from the ground, even higher than the London Eye. I’ve been on the High Roller twice, but only during the day. A couple during my first ride was lucky enough to score their own personal pod since there weren’t any people in line behind them. No problem, there was always enough seating when I went on. The whole ride lasts 30 min and moves slowly even as you get on/​off. Despite having some sort of disability, you should be able to enjoy this ride. Talk to an employee for details.
Each pod holds a max of 40 people but they would never squish that many in there. Temperature controlled meaning it’s air conditioned in the summer, and room temp in the winter. They have a «happy half hour» option with an actual bar & bartender inside! Prices vary. There are Groupons sometimes, and online discounts. I bought tickets at the box in front the weekend of Memorial Day and tickets were only $ 20!
They’ll take your group photo in front of a green screen, check out the backgrounds after the ride.
*There’s a bar you can buy drinks at before boarding, feel free to bring it with you. Restrooms are located in this area.

My favorite sight to see is the Bellagio fountains while up in the air. Highly recommended!

Goodness, what’s with the price?
The views are phenomenal, dialogue is helpful, but the price is terrible. Especially considering the length of time you spend on this thing. We paid $ 35/​person for a 30 minute ride. The line moves very fast and we purchased our tickets a few minutes before riding, not too shabby. However, the price. I understand it’s pricier at night due to popularity and nice views of the the strip and all of the pretty lights.
Would I pay that much again? No way! Try to scout some cheaper tickets. They put these on Groupon every now and then or buy them online for a promotion.
Views are great, price is unreasonable!

The High Roller was a great way to see the city at night! We bought the Groupon, which gave us two tickets to an open bar pod for $ 80 ($ 60 if you did a ride before 5:00). I would guess every 5^th pod or so is an open bar pod and the rest are just regular pods without the bar option.
The ride itself: It was really pretty seeing the city at night while riding the High Roller. I would defintely suggest anyone in Vegas do it once. It’s not likely something I would do again, but it was a neat view for a one time thing.
The open bar: I was a bit worried that the pod would have cheap liquor and that there would be too many people to have time to get more than one drink. Luckily, the liquor was of good quality (skyy vodka, jack daniels, malibu, etc) and had a variety of beer and mixer options. Our bartender whipped up a few mixed drinks that were really good! The open bar option was worth the extra bucks!

Wir hatten eine einzigartige Sicht direkt auf den Las Vegas Strip mit seinem Lichtermeer, wie aus einem Helikopter, einfach einmalig. Sollte man unbedingt wahrnehmen, wenn man schon hier in Las Vegas ist.
Unsere Empfehlung, auch wenn es abends mit ca. 37 $ etwas teuer ist, als tagsüber mit ca. 27 $, sollte man den unvergesslichen Ausblick in der Abenddämmerung oder bei Nacht, genießen.
Das Rad hat 28 Gondeln für je 40 Passagiere (in unserer Gondel waren wir mit 8 Personen) und braucht für eine Umdrehung etwa eine halbe Stunde.
Durch die Größe der Gondeln und die kaum merkbare Fahrt, sind Schwindelgefühle oder Übelkeit durch die Höhe, aus unserer Sicht nicht befürchten. Auch das Einsteigen in die Gondel (sie ist ständig in Bewegung), ist durch die Größe kein Problem, wenn man nicht gehbehindert ist.
Wir haben es auf jeden Fall nicht bereut und können diese Attraktion hiermit weiterempfehlen.
Ps. Das größte Riesenrad Europas steht in London und hat 135 m.

vale la pena! en la noche es mas caro que en el dia pero son vistas muy diferentes. recomiedo la vista nocturna. en cuanto a pagar por el open bar no creo que valga la pena almenos que anden super ambientados todos y tendrias que tomarte minimo 2 – 3 tragos para que salga el costo almenos que sean shots porque cuantos tragos te puedes tomar en 30 minutos que dura la vuelta completa??? de igual manera si se te antoja un tragon antes de subir hay barra-​bar. asi como baños,… sube y acomodate entrando de el lado derecho donde se encuentra la mejor vista de las vegas! enjoy!

Das aktuell größte Riesenrad der Welt steht nun in Las Vegas. Besonders am Abend ist die Aussicht grandios. Wir hatten das Glück, an einem Mittwoch Abend mit nur 4 Personen in einer Gondel zu fahren. Die Fahrt dauert 30 Minuten und wir konnten den Luxus der leeren Gondel nutzen und in alle Richtungen sehen und uns frei Bewegen. Ich empfand das als echtes Plus!
Der Rundumblick auf die Straßen, die prächtigen Casinobauten und die Wasserspiele vor dem Bellagio ist es definitiv Wert. Daher Merke, wenn man die nicht ganz preiswerte Fahrt machen möchte, sucht man sich besser einen Wochentag, an dem in LV üblicherweise nicht so viel los ist. Die Preisgestaltung kann man etwas beeinflussen, diverse Internetseiten bieten nutzbare Coupons an. Das Riesenrad hält nicht an, es bewegt sich, zwar langsam aber spürbar, sodass man beim Ein– und Aussteigen schon beweglich sein sollte. Es werden spezielle Bar-​Gondeln angeboten, wer es möchte soll es probieren. Mein Fahr– und Aussichtserlebnis auf die Lichter der Stadt war ausgezeichnet. Was mich stört war am Ende der unvermeidliche Souvenirladen, durch den man geschleust wird. Nunja, so ist Vegas halt.

Wenn man in LV ist ist der Highroller ein Muß! Sagenhafter Blick, eine Umdrehung dauert ca. eine halbe Stunde, man kann sich nicht satt sehen. Wir waren tagsüber drinn und hatten einen wahnsinns Ausblick!
