Lockdown

Heard about this on a popular Vegas website and checked it out online. I’d never heard of anything like this, so we decided to take a chance and check it out. We called to get an appointment and were greeted warmly and professionally, and booked for about an hour later. Upon arrival, we were shown a video of the room we were going to try to escape… we chose the Mob Boss room. Then, escorted to the room, and given a walkie-​talkie thinger… told we could ask for 3 clues, given an hour and… go…
At certain intervals we’re given updates as to how much time is left, and when we had to break down and ask for clues, the clues were concise and spot on… quite helpful, but frustrating to have to have asked! Grr.
Not going to give any bit of info away (others may have… actually glad for once we didn’t do a Unilocal search and took a leap of faith… this was amazing). Everything is there for you to figure it out… it’s just a matter of turning on that creative part of the brain and put it all together. I will say we did make it to the end, but we were very short on time and we picked the wrong snitch. We were shown our errors and ‘who did it’ and it all made perfect sense. We’re hooked…

First time doing an escape room adventure and we had such a blast. Our group did the Professor room which is the hardest level and the puzzles were challenging but logical once you take a moment to think it through you’ll get all excited when you figure it out. We ended up having to use hints but did not finish in time but we still had fun and everyone had something to contribute to each puzzle. The best part was the next day we all kept talking about the puzzles and how much fun it was. Very cool experience and something different to do in Vegas.
If you are looking for a clean, logical puzzle escape without having to worry about a scary experience then Lockdown is the place for you. Shout out to Francisco who was so cheerful and patient while we waited for a cab after being the last booking of the night. Thank you for making our experience so much fun!

So much fun! This is a great interactive activity for various ages. We were highly challenged but not frustrated. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were so close to solving the puzzle but not upset that we didn’t. Would totally visits again.

We just did the easy level. «Hostage» it was so mind tricking and fun. Staff was very professional. Over all experience was awesome and we made it out with 7 min left ! can’t wait to go back there again !

SO. Much. Fun. I went with my family, party of 8 (all ranging in age and personalities) and every single one of us had a great time. I had high expectations because I had been recommended to come here by multiple people. This place exceeded my expectations and then some. It’s seriously the most sober fun I’ve had in awhile. If you’re analytical and like to solve puzzles, you will love this. If you’re a deep thinker, you will excel. We did the Crazy Professor (the hardest one) and it wasn’t easy– but would it be fun if it was just easy? Absolutely not. Can’t wait to go back and try the Mob Boss! Try it out for yourself, trust me!

Loved it! We did the Professor and it was hard, my advice is use the hints. We were able to finish with only 3 minutes to spare! I would go back and do the other challenges. Great idea and one of the coolest things I’ve done in Vegas.

Our group had so much fun in the first set of rooms, as soon as we exited we paid to do another set! We had a great experience, enjoyed this and wonder why more of these places don’t exist? I highly recommend this place, so much fun!

I am a fan of escape rooms so I made my friends come here during our visit :)
We did the Mafia Boss room, and the woman working at the time was great at setting it up for us and getting us going. At first I was a little worried that the initial room we were in was «it», but there was much more which made me feel better. We received up to 3 clues which, while I didn’t want to use them we ended up needing all of them. We escaped the room with under 2 minutes to spare and the host graciously answered all of our questions since they are watching you via video while you’re going through. If you have done a lot of these, I would maybe recommend the difficult room, since she said we probably would have had success in there as well. Something I’d definitely do if/​when I go back to Vegas.

I bought tickets on groupon for this attraction. The customer service is extremely poor. Made a reservation and tried to confirm multiple times over several days, nobody answered the phone during business hours. They failed to confirm our appt and when we arrived the man was not at all helpful. He said he would call us back with a different appointment time. They never called. Once we finally got someone on the phone they said they could not accommodate our party and we should just get a refund. Don’t waste your time with this poorly run business.

Here’s the thing… I really wanted to write a 5 star review because the idea of this is awesome and we did have a good time. But there were a few things that occurred that negatively impacted our experience.
1) the employee didn’t give us any direction at all prior to entering the escape room. He literally handed us a picture and said okay your time will start now. Uhhh, okay? Since it was a very first time doing this we weren’t quite sure what we were suppose to do our how it worked so we just winged it.
2) the machine was broken in one of the rooms, so we couldn’t retrieve the key to open the lock. An employee had to come in and get it out so we could continue. That just completely ruined our experience. We didn’t even get an accurate time in which we got out because they had to stop the time and come in and fix the machine. It was a mess.
We paid $ 35 bucks per person (there were 4 of us) and got no instructions and a broken room. The broken machine was due to employee error when setting it up. We weren’t offered refund or discount or anything for the mess up.
It was so disappointing. So while, I imagine this could be super enjoyable… Our experience was lack luster.
I would go back and try another room cause like I said… It really is an Awesome idea.

This was our first real-​life room escape, but we’d been playing the online games for a decade, so we knew the basic beats. I was really impressed with how many puzzles they packed into the room, and how logical they all were (there was no random poking at something until it clicked).
Some of our teammates were worried about the room being scary, or gory, and thankfully there was none of that. There was a lot of ambiance, and some vaguely menacing overtones, but no jump scares or horror-​movie touches — which we appreciated.
Overall, this is obviously a labor of love by the owner and the enthusiasm is contagious.

This was my first experience with a room escape game and our group had a great time! We did a moms night out and really enjoyed the fun challenge of solving all the clues. Since we were all beginners, we chose The Hostage room. We made it out with 10 minutes to spare. We did end up asking for 2 hints during the game since we were over-​complicating some of the clues. We all agreed that we would definitely want to come back again and maybe try the Mob Boss room next time.
Great job Vegas Lockdown! Clean game rooms, fun and challenging clues, and friendly staff. I will be recommending you to my friends and family.
By the way… we were able to use a coupon I found on Google which made it a great deal without having to buy one from Groupon. This one is valid until November 27, 2015.

I really can’t recommend this place enough. The short of it is that this is a great place to go for some good, family-​friendly fun.
I came here with my co-​workers for a «team-​building exercise». The group I was in was comprised of «puzzle room newbies» so we had no idea what to expect. I will definitely say that the clues were easy enough to find and get started, but still very satisfying once we got through. Overall, very pleased with the quality of the puzzles and their solutions.
We originally came to only do two (At the time of this writing, The Mob Boss and Hostage Rescue) but had such a blast doing it that we decided to do the third one (The Crazy Professor) which ended up being the best one.
Again, I cannot recommend this enough as an excellent team-​building activity. It got us to work together as a team several times while at the same time having puzzles available to be worked on simultaneously, so we had within our group smaller groups of people working different puzzles. It was an opportunity to work out our problem-​solving and teamwork dynamics. It also definitely helps that this is a nice break from the loud hustle/​bustle of Las Vegas, and there’s no «sex» in any part of what they do (which is literally everywhere else in Vegas), which means you can definitely bring your mom without it being weird!
Beyond that, the staff was excellent. Very encouraging to us and got us very excited about doing this, knew what they were doing, and reset the rooms very quickly for us.
Would ABSOLUTELY recommend. Thank you guys so much for the great time!

Out of the many puzzle rooms we’ve done, this location’s room The Crazy Professor has been the only room we’ve ever seen to incorporate a physically demanding challenge in with their otherwise cerebral puzzles. Aside from that, the location offered a fairly classic escape room experience with scavenging, pattern matching, and problem solving.
The staff was friendly and we left satisfied. A group came in when we were leaving and the girl said she had no available spots for them to book, so be sure to call or book online ahead of time!

I found this place on Unilocal,since I’m an Escape Game Addict. I’ve done 16 escapes before this place in both SF and LA.
This place is legit. The owners are Hungarian, and the Hungarians are the OG of escape rooms.
Had such great experiences here. Super easy to book and schedule. Dmitri was a great host, and super accommodating. I accidentally booked the wrong day so I emailed them to help change the date and I immediately got a response.
The next day, I had to email and change the time AGAIN because I realized I had an event to attend. I emailed at around 10:30pm at night, and Dmitri responded to me at 11pm. So on top of it! I really appreciate that attention to customer service.
We did both the rooms HOSTAGE and MOB BOSS and it was just the 2 of us. It was the first time I’d ever done an escape room with just 2 people but it worked out just fine! In fact, it’s almost easier to have less people, because there is less confusion and easier communication.
We broke out of Hostage in 26 minutes, and Mob boss in about 46 minutes. Both are equally super fun. Looking to come back to do the CRAZY PROFESSOR room but we need at least 3 – 4 people for that room.
Remember to tip the host for making it a great experience!

Awesome. We did the Mob Boss room and it was so much fun. We had for people and it was a challenge. The store front was bright and clean and the room itself was very well decorated. The people running everything were just so nice and helpful. Very helpful since we needed it! The puzzles were clever and well thought out. Can’t say enough about this place. If you want to do something different in Vegas this is it! Family fun and adventure at its best!

I’ve become addicted to these escape game rooms and I hope every major city gets several more companies to continue making more.
Lockdown says they are opening a 2^nd location with different rooms! And they claim they will update them every few months or so. Been to this location twice already and did all 3 rooms.
This is the 4^th different company/​game room we have been to and by far the nicest/​newest.
Crazy professor was pretty tough, we had a group of 4 quick minded people and we made it out with some decent time to spare.
Hostage was pretty easy if you’ve ever done any escape games before, but if you haven’t this is a perfect room for beginners.
Mob Boss was fairly tough, definitely not made for beginners but not as hard as the professor.
All rooms very enjoyable.
Pros: Very clean, modern, well thought out rooms, been here twice and all 4 staff members were friendly and helpful.
Cons: None. I guess you could say a little difficult to find, but not really. All game rooms are in warehouse type areas. Some signage could help though.
Will definitely be back!

We escaped the mad professor’s lab with 8 mins to spare! It was difficult, but manageable.
The clues were very well laid out and organized. The location was clean and well put together! Definitely our favorite one so far!
Customer service was great.
Highly recommended for others to try!

This was our second live game escape room. We chose to do the Hostage Situation Room. It was my daughter’s 21^st Birthday celebration and they were very sweet to her.
The room was very nicely done up. Of course, I can’t give any details but we were impressed. We wanted to beat the record time of 20 minutes and came in close at 28 asking for only one clue. So we were pretty proud of ourselves.
We would definitely return to this location to try another room. It was fun!

First time doing an escape game.
Got a deal from living social for 6 people. The mob boss challenge was the one my group of six did. It was well thought out and challenging. Glad I was sober doing this.
I’m hooked! Can’t wait til they set up their new challenge next month.
