MacTEK is a full-​service Apple computer support company serving the Las Vegas and Western U.S. since 2000. We offer the most qualified and expansive Macintosh services in the Las Vegas Valley.

Our services are all performed by Certified Apple Consultants (ACN, ACTC or ACSP), Technicians (ACMT), and Trainers (ACT). MacTEK Consulting and Training is an Apple Authorized Training Center (AATC) and Apple Authorized Service Training Center (AASTC)

History

Established in 2000.

MacTEK Consulting + Training opened in January of 2000. Initially offering Apple Computer support, MacTEK quickly grew to offer Apple Certification Training and Apple service and repairs. Since then, MacTEK has evolved into being 1 of only 6 training centers in the US that is an Apple Authorized Service Training Center training AppleCare technicians (ACMTs — i.e. «Genius») and Apple Pro Apps. Recently we have added iOS (iPad and iPhone) training.

Business Owner

Doug fell in love with the Macintosh interface in 1989 when his soon-​to-​be-​wife, Veronica, introduced him her Macintosh SE (1997). His love for Apple’selements of elegance and design grew deeper as the growing tech company developed more products. He was hooked. He learned all he could about everything Apple and was the first person in Nevada certified by Apple on OS X. He holds certifications on each version of mac OS X that are available. ACSA 10.4,10,5 ACTC 10.1, ACTC 10.2, ACTC 10.3, 10.4, 10.5 and ACHDS 10.3, 10.4. Doug is also XSAN 1.1 certified. He is also an Apple Certified Trainer. He has been supporting users of Apple technology since 1982. Doug has been a member of the Apple Consultants Network for more than 15 years. He served on the Apple Consultants Network Advisory council for 3 years. He is an Apple Certified Trainer and author.
